PoliticsRe: N438m Scandal: I Am A Shareholder Not Director Of The Company - Tunji-Ojo by edogu(m): 8:52am On Jan 09, 2024
I don't think that's a problem. The problem should be whether the company ( including the amount of shares) was part of assets declared by him before his appointment.

If not, he's culpable.

"they seem"?

e be like say your eye never clear
What do you expect me to say? With amount of money being dished out on the social media, it's either they are not properly guided or they've decided to turn a deaf ear to what is happening around them.
PoliticsRe: Presidency Keeps Mum As Uproar Over Tinubu Palliative Gesture To Lawmakers Rages by edogu(m): 9:30am On Jan 08, 2024
If this government is not careful something bigger than 2012 protest may follow suit.

They seem not to be in touch with reality. People are really really suffering and all we keep hearing on the social media is sharing of this and that.

May God help us in this 2024.
PoliticsRe: FG Begins Payment Of October 2023 Wage Award by edogu(m): 9:23pm On Jan 06, 2024
One of the reasons the supplementary budget was passed and signed into law was to take care of palliatives, arrears and salaries.

It's quite unfortunate that October palliative is being paid in January. It is either somebody is deliberately trying to sabotage this government or the president is not sincere to the people.

Meanwhile, the price of things has virtually doubled ever since announcement was made concerning the palliative.

I get irritated by stories such as this. This is purely an abuse of office by Nigerian police.
PoliticsRe: N37 Billion Probe: Ex-Minister, Sadiya Umar-Farouq Gets EFCC’s 72-hour Ultimatum by edogu(m): 6:59am On Jan 05, 2024
If possible, her husband should equally be investigated. Billions of dollar were deployed all in the name of fighting bokoharam.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Freezes ₦‎30 Billion NSIPA Cash Traced To Private Accounts by edogu(m): 9:41am On Jan 04, 2024
We have not even started. By the time EFCC extends their search lights on former ministers of aviation, attorney General, petroleum etc you would be shocked.

If all the cabinet members of this present administration have the same mindset as this minister, I don't see why this administration won't do well.

So far , he still remains the best. This is what you get when you appoint technocrats and not politicians. Kudos to the minister.

PoliticsRe: EFCC Uncovers N37B Fraud In Humanitarian Ministry, Indicts Sadiya Umar-Farouk by edogu(m): 6:56am On Dec 24, 2023
Hadi Sirika, the former Aviation minister and the Attorney General should equally be arrested too.

These and many more yet to be unravelled contributed immensely in crippling this country economically.

And it's high time EFCC stop chasing yahoo yahoo boys and focus their attention on this 'big fish'

Kenneth4u205:
Houti are just like small nyash weh de shake . Israel doesn't have their time yet .
They may be 'small nyash' but this constant attack if not contained now will affect international trade.

Already one of the biggest stakeholders in the global ship industry, Maersk, has directed her members to start using South African route which is longer.

The implication is that the cost transporting goods will rise and in turn lead to general increase in prices of goods.

A container of goods, according to BBC, has increased to 10,000 usd.

We are yet to recover from covid-19 hangover and Russia-Ukraine conflict, and we are already experiencing another problem.

The crisis may be far from home but it will definitely affect countries in one way or the othe including Nigeria.

ExudeLoveToAll:
Which allowance? The one Government owe them for donkey years?

A professor which is the apex earns 400k+ in Federal Universities, that's very appalling if you ask me. Only very few universities pay their lecturers seven digit per month in Nigeria.
The 400k is for senior professors. A newly promoted professor does not earn up to 400k.
EducationRe: An Assistant Lecturer Salary In A Federal University by edogu(m): 11:37am On Dec 22, 2023
RepoMan007:
That amount wouldn't have been so poor if not for inflation. 150k now is like 65k before the broom party swept sanity aside.
The 150 is the gross pay without deductions such as tax, union dues, pension, NHF etc.

You forgot that they receive allowances something most people in private sector don't get. I earn more than them monthly, but with their allowances, I think they are still better than some in private sector, beside their work is stress free
Which allowance? The one government to an extent has refused to honour?

There is more to this. I don't trust Nigerian government. May be this will now lead to university getting her full autonomy and paying her staff.

Remember that few weeks ago, this same government wanted 40% of what comes into the University’s purse.

Let's not forget the students' loan which will kick off by January.

I would have loved to hear from an unbiased mind. The person behind that post - Pastor Okezie, is a core APC supporter. Always looking for every means to tarnish either the image of Peter Obi, Atiku, LP or PDP.
