JohnBullMySon: government need to free up that league from their incompetent hands. Let private individuals come in. That should be the change they should be discussing. After that we can talk of NT Government has to create a conducive environment first until then not many investors will put money in the league when profit is not feasible. We have the market but only goverment decisions will bring in players to make it grow |

Olulong: So if we want to be the best are we not expected to beat the best??. Ivory Coast were better than us at the 2013 Afcon, didn't we beat them??
And the same Algeria you're talking about are weaker than they were(talent/player wise) when we beat them in 2016. Buh good coaching has made them a way better team than they were then.
Just to remind you they came into the AFCON ranked 68, 23 places below us in the FIFA Ranking.Fast forward to over a year they've beaten us twice and are now ranked above us that's what good coaching can do.
Their starting 11 that beat us had 3 players playing in the middle east, one in esperance, One at Nottingham Forest and another for relegated Italian side empoli. So on the basis of player quality going to that match we were balanced but we both know what they did to us.
You don't need messi and ronaldo to win AFCON. I'll say this anywhere we have a good enough squad to win the AFCON. We beat Ivory Coast with Mba,Oboabona,Relatively unknown Omeruo and Onazi. So all this they're better than us is just a flimsy excuse trying to justify an incompetent coach 1000 likes |

Warripikine: Italian Pundit Labels Osimhen The Biggest Flop In Serie A, More Than Ex-Spurs Star Eriksen
Italian football pundit Marcello Chirico has ripped into Victor Osimhen, labeling the Napoli striker the biggest flop in the Italian Serie A at the moment, more than ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen who has struggled since moving to Inter Milan.
Chirico believes the Nigeria international has not justified the hefty fee that could rise to around 80 million euros Napoli paid Lille to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.
Despite having a hand in three goals (2 goals, 1 assist) from his six appearances in the Italian top-flight, Chirico has insisted that Osimhen has not been up to scratch.
There were high hopes surrounding the signing of the 2015 U17 World Cup winner by Napoli after making his mark at Lille with 18 goals over the course of 2019-2020.
[s]"Everyone says that Eriksen was the biggest flop of the championship for now. agreement. For me the great disappointment is represented by Victor Osimhen," Chirico told 7 Gold (via Area Napoli).
"They portrayed him as a top player. They paid a lot for him, but it doesn't seem to me that he is doing great things, on the contrary ... " [/s] Osimhen is unlikely to be available for selection when Napoli face AC Milan on Sunday after dislocating his shoulder while on international duty.
Guys do you agree with this..because I dont The guy needs to take a mental health test After 2 goals and 1 assist in just 6 matches in a completely new league, We are not even in quarter season. no wonder e dey unknown |

smartsmith0907: Rohr is a technical adviser same with emenalo...the truth is Nigeria no get coach at all ....our last coach was salisu yusuf...so the truth of the matter now is the appointment of a new head coach who will be working together with the technical adviser....there is huge discrepancies between the role of a technical adviser/ sport director and head coach. Rohr as a tecnical advisor has coached teams and has better experience than emenalo both in national and club level, we don't know if emanalo as head coach will come good for us but it's gamble the NFF will not take that's for sure. We need a Coach and an experienced one |

Rohr...
"We have a young team, it was a shock the other day after the injury of Victor Osimhen, everybody was afraid [and] today, they wanted to fight for him, they did it, they [fought] very well.
“And I think this draw now still keeps us top of the table we have to play another two games now, its Benin and Lesotho and normally, it’s not official but we are very close now to qualification so also the result of Benin who made a draw against Lesotho all the games are difficult they’re are no little opponents everybody is well organised.”
"We have a young team" is our new slogan |

chucs: Everything about Africa is abnormal. The match today was horrible to say the least, from the pitch to the visuals and commentary. Same substandard pitch and visuals was noticed in the earlier fixture played in Benin. By the way, why can't we watch the national team on the national TV? Corruption everywhere.
As for Rohr, we all know that he is not technically sound but we are not matured enough to have an indigenous coach, in my opinion. Federal character will be the order of the day if that should happen. We have all seen it in the past.
I will suggest we go for a sound foreign coach. Unfortunately, those in the glass house would prefer a grade Z coach as usual for reasons best known to them. We cannot even afford to pay the grade Z |
