The referee in charge of the Nigeria national team match against Mohamed Salah's Egypt national team, Bakary Papa Gassama, failed to listen to the call of VAR during the match when an Egypt national team player fell inside the opposite box following a challenge from a Nigeria player.

Bakary Papa Gassama made a very strong decision by refusing the call from the Video Assistance Referee. It was obvious that there was an intense conversation between the Cameroonian referee and the VAR.

The call would have resulted in a penalty for the Egypt national team, and the result would have been different for the Nigeria national team fans, but the referee was right to ignore the VAR call as the Nigerian defender was falling and could not leave the Egyptian attacker.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will be playing their second game of the 2021 African Cup of Nations tournament against Sudan at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, the same as today's venue.

The Super Eagles are the current group D leaders after their 1-0 victory against Egypt, and the Super Eagles are favourites to qualify for the next round of the tournament.Opinion:

Share your thoughts about these points and comment if you think the decision but the referee was right.

The foul was outside the box, the referee stopped play twice and still didn't go to the monitor.

I knew Sadiq was bad but l expected WAY MORE

You are in the Segunda and have been for two seasons, this is your chance to SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO.

Seize the opportunity

He will never have a bigger game than this , no urgency, no determination, no presence, no technique, no pace, no physicality, no aggression, no skill, NO NOTHING.

Nwakali self the AM the midfield maestro WOW lost for Words.

KC really found his position which is behind the Attacker , Aribo was very composed and if Moses had some finesse he should have scored. All round very good performance.

Low points substitutions.

I won't really fault Sadiq cause our approach to the game changed a lot when he entered, we kinda sat back with just him in front

In your village. A player that couldn’t create 1 single clear cut chance or score despite beating his man numerous times. Even ejuke threatened their goal keeper twice

Who is your man of the match? I also give it to Simon, he was always on the attack for the better part of the match more than anyone else

The arguments just dey funny me.

Some people really think they can bully NFF into taking a player to World Cup.

Even if that is a possibility, the level of bench he will eat in that World Cup, they will wish he never went.

People will certainly ask questions and the coach with pinnick will explain why a player with such form is left out

I think we have passed that stage where things like that happen

Osihmen , Ndidi and few players are sure bet for world cup if we qualify. For Dennis, it is 50/50 even if he scores hat trick again Man city because of NFF politics

It will take some outstanding excuse to prevent Dennis from going to the world cup if he can maintain this form.

No NFF politics will prevent the player with one of the highest goal contributions in EPL from being called up

Please, if you know that you do not regularly use Twitter or follow Osimhen and his posts, I take God beg una refrain from talking about his reactions to trolls.

Some of you are being so unreasonable and unfairly judgmental of this boy, it is bordering on sheer hypocrisy.

They should stop messing with that boy, he has done absolutely nothing to be trolled. He has not put a foot wrong for Napoli or Nigeria the entire 2021, and miserable idiots decide to constantly attack him because he wants to post stale jokes on the internet and you people think that is justified?

Abeg abeg abeg, if your own manhood teaches you to be the punching bag for frustrated people, Osimhen's own has taught him to stand up for himself.

If you allow Nigerians, they will bully you out of social media and then gloat about it. Na so dem wan use bullying finish Burna Boy that year, but his success muted them. Some of una for say make Burna no talk because he be man.

Useless manhood.

I don't know any artist that doesn't get trolled for one reason or the order but I don't see them replying every and throwing tantrums nau

Abi how many times do you see wizkid or Davido replying trolls on twitter?
As long as you be celeb you'll surely get trolled, doesn't matter if you're man, woman or otherwise.. Not everyone will like you

Osimhen should chill

NB: If you had been following this thread as at the time you bought this particular device you would have known about this issue.
