let me inform you... up north and south west they know the ikwere are igbos clan.
if fight broke out up north and igbos are being targeted they won't listen to anyone saying ikwere.

even the whitemen knows this. take a look at the pot found in Europe but taken from Port Harcourt in 1916
Lol we all know ikwere are Igbos.
Anybody from ikwere that said he is not from igbo need his brain to be examine

Is just like an ijebu man claiming he is not from Yoruba just because his dialect differs a bit from the Yorubas speaking by oyo people or Lagos people.

I wonder why Igbo speaking people in rivers will open their vocal cavity and spew trash that they are not Igbos while everything about them exhibit igbo culture and tradition.

Market and the land belongs to the govt. They said you can continue sit at home but be ready to pay fine of 100k . So why are you complaining. Govt owns the land and the affairs of the land is their business. Go and pay your 100k fine and next Monday cont. Sitting at home.
You didn't complained when ipob announced sit at home but governor that want to remove it is your problem. I can see ipob brainwashed brain here.
Oga I dislike ipob members with my last drop of blood but I'm not bias in passing judgement.
I will only take Mbah serious when he start to fine civil workers that doesn't come to work on Monday.
You can't tell a trader to open his shop while you didn't bring adequate security to secure him and his goods. Even if he force the traders to open their shop will he still force the buyers to leave their house to market?

I envy you bro. I never lived in the village and i desperately long for the Nigerian village calm life.
I want to hear the cock crowing in the morning.
Lol cock don't crow here may be I'm not living in the remote area of my villa. Here is booming like city life.
May be I won't call here village since it is a busy environment

no mind the useless ipob traders, governor has several times warned them to desist from sit at home. Held several meetings inside ogbete market. Yet ipob induced traders didn't hear. They told him to ask soludo how far with his initial gra gra.
So if you are the one selling in ogbete or new market you will come out and open your shop every Monday without minding that UGM might hit you stray bullet 🤔
How many security personnel did the governor bring out to secure all these markets every Monday? Or you want people to play with their life?

You people should make using of your brain before spewing trash

ipob terrorist on the beat. The traders dont protest against sit a home order by terrorist Nnamdi kanu but have the terminality to protest against Governor of a state. Where were the traders when governor was holding meets with ogbete traders. Anybody that does protest the blood is on that person head.
Are the traders complaining that they are tired of sit at home?
Is it the governor constitutional rights to lock up shop of a private sector that didn't open on Monday? Since he wants to fine the shop owners he should also fine government schools that didn't open on Monday.

He should start his 100k fine from the government sector before moving down to private sector. Whereas he don't have right to tell a business man when to open his shop or close it since the person is not working under him and didn't owe him any explanation.

You no protest against IPOB nah governor trying to lift you from IPOB dungeon you see protest.

So your point is that they should not protest and pay the 100k fine?
You just prove to me you are just an educated illiterate.

The governor telling them to come out every Monday did he bring our security personnel to guide them incase chaos started?

Why should government seal the shop of a private sector?
What if the owner of the shop went for vacation or travel to Lagos or China to buy goods?
Ok! the governor assume that anybody that sit at home on Monday is just obeying Simon ekpa order without having to think twice 🤔

adebayo987:
You're confusing town with village. Your place is a town and no longer a village. A place closer to the city that's having some city facilities like stable electricity, water, standard internet and even moving businesses is no longer a village. Simply because you hail from the place doesn't mean it's a village. What about the geographical indigenes of cities like Port Harcourt, Abuja, Uyo, Ikeja, etc., would they call the city their village? Maybe yes if they can't differentiate village from city or town.
Ok now I understand your point.
May be I won't call my place village because all those timid and backward lifestyle doesn't exist here.

My bad though.
Family / Re: Why Do Nigerians See Relocating Back To The Village As Failure by Edoziesmart(m): 11:58pm On Jul 25, 2023
adebayo987:
Right ... The reason is that.

1. No good road
2. No constant electricity
3. No clean water
4. No waste management
5. No good internet (mostly 2G networks are installed by network providers) in the village
6. Low population (would result to poor patronising if doing business)
7. If doing business, cost of transportation will make you make less profit. Sometimes things stay and spoil in your shop due to very low patronage and if it becomes expensive, nobody will buy because there are alternatives and enduring/ultra managing minds in the village.
8. No security (especially if you're known as a wealthy person)

However, the village is good for retirement or to have a peace of mind. It's also a place to go and hide from the rest of the world (especially hiding from unwanted guests and visits).
This your point is only valid for those from timid village unlike my community that is just less that 25 mins drive to capital city

Like I said earlier village dey pass village.

Most of all these things you mentioned I haven't experienced such ever since I relocated back to villa. May be because my community is close to capital city and some strangers are living with us.
I first experienced Glo 4g in the villa before it reached where I was living in the city then grin cheesy
The only network that shows 2g/3g in my villa is Etisalat. The rest are full 4g anywhere you go either in the forest, cave or mountain cool

Omoh village dey pass village. Like me that work remotely ever since I finished uni, I don't see the reason I will have to be wasting money yearly to pay house rent when I can comfortable live the life I want in the village.

BTW, some strangers are leaving their communities to relocate to my village to hustle and make it big in life. I don't see the reason I should leave my village when it doesn't limit my hustle rather it broad it.

If you're not relocating to the village at an age that is considered to be your inactive years where rest and peace of mind is the prime focus, Oga you are a failure!
Trash.

I know countless people in my village that spent some years in the city and achieve nothing but there story changed when they relocate back to the city.

There is this man that owe a plaza in my community he didn't have anything when he was in the city but he came back to villa as a palmwine tapper, now even those in the city envy him because his money is long.
He is still into palmwine tapping but in a big way and owe a big supermarket inside the plaza he built.

Let me not even talk about myself because I'm still struggling to make it, not as if I'm begging for food now but there is a level I will reach before I know I have make it in life.
