its not that the visa is easy but its a tourist destination and if you are seeking a visitors visa for tourism sake, its always good to apply to countries as such.
I don't know who goes to Norway for tourism. and what tourist attractions are there in Norway.
France ,Greece, Netherlands and Portugal are also good for Schengen visa application especially Greece as their economy dey do kweke kweke.

why don't our people think of alternatives.(just my one cent. please don't criticize me o)
many people applying for visas on here have got at least 1m to 2m.

why not some of you come together and think of a very good business investment.
Two is better than one they say.

Draft good investment or business idea. put this money together and invest back home or alternatively invest in countries like UAE(Dubai) where you can easily get a 10 years residence permit as an investor and you can actually get your business license with as little as 3 to 5M within 1month at max and that give you 10 years residence permit. run the business for a while and then use your company documents to easily secure a visit visa from any other part of the world.
that s killing 2 birds with one stone, now you guys have a business making you money while you travel.

what I can advice is, visit the country first.
see first hand how things work over there. ask a lot of questions on how to get the proper papers to live there legally.
don't stay too long so that when you re-apply for a visa, they will never turn you down. by so doing you can easily get visas to other countries because you abide by the immigration rules.

when the doors of travelling is open for you, you can easily start thinking of how to settle which Im sure there are ways to do that..

My guy did the same thing. when he was applying for a usa visit visa.
he later relocate to Dubai.
Got married to a lady from the states.
When they applied for his spouse visa,he got questioned about his previous marriage claims and was told to go provide evidence of divorce etc.#
it was only GOD's GRACE. had to provide affidavits ,lawyers and etc.
theres nothing GOD cannot do. just come clean or find one good babe that way marry.

Number 1 correction, you have to change your mid set. where others fail, many succeeds.

That being said. since you live in Oman(if you have residence permit)
its a bit easier to make such moves from there if you have the required documents and proper information and money.

Turkey is a good place (considering cost of living, and getting residence permit easily.) the salary in turkey is a bit low but can survive on it.

the easiest way is to have enough funds and plans.
since you've got family,
you should be looking at Canada or Australia.
through skilled immigration
or apply for studies in one of the countries in EU that offers free education.
Move your family as dependents.
hustle on how to change the status.

If you want a place where you can easily get residence permit with that budget or a little more on it, TURKEY will be first, Seconded by UAE,Qatar.
Please don't overstay in any country it shrinks your chances of succeeding in that country.

My advice to anyone looking to secure a visa from Nigeria is :
First apply for Dubai 2 weeks visit visa =about $150
Book a cancellable hotel in Dubai
Buy a cancellable ticket. Lets say= Naija to FRANCE, France To Dubai, Dubai to Nigeria.{BY SO DOING,YOU HAVE CLEARD THEIR DOUBT OF NOT GOING BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY}

Don't Forge any document you don't have ,Write a letter explaining why you don't have it(I did this with my UK visa. I didn't have bank statement from my company as they were meant to be sponsoring)
Make sure to attaché a letter from your company stating how many days you are going to be off from work.

If someone is inviting you, please attached their passport copies, proof of address etc. (the invitation letter should state that you will go back after your stay to continue your job and that you wont be accessing social funds)

the amount in your account doesn't really matter. they want to make sure that you have good income and to see the in and out flow.
they want to make sure you have good ties back home and that you have some money left over when you come back (my friend got her visa with only 200k in her account but her job paid 500k salary)

If you are granted a visitors visa, PLEASE do not overstay. you may regret.

Acquire some skills while waiting for your visa.
make friends so that when you get there you wont find things difficult.
