krall: Is it wrong? No dress code was given. They way the interview is, I don't know how it was for others but at my turn, after asking me some questions, I was told to climb a small stage and demonstrate. I wore long sleeve shirt, tucked in properly ironed trousers with socks and my leather sandals. When one woman sighted my leg she chuckled and whispered in another's ear and they started gossiping my sandals. It killed my morale and I began to wonder when it became a bad thing to wear sandals. I have many that I used to wear but now I no longer have the courage to.
This is how the sandal looks like like on the leg. My leg is not fine so I won't use it. ..... This OP muust surely come from otueke,,, he has no shoes!!!!!! |

Christianity Etc › Re: 70 Men Of God Travel To Jerusalem To Pray For Nigeria by EdwardRandy(m): 1:39pm On Dec 17, 2014 |
lalasticlala: A team known as 70 wise prophets have been sent Jerusalem to pray for Nigeria. The move came from Rev. Ifeanyichukwu Epunam who assembled 70 prophets of the Christian faith through private sector sponsorship.
But before they left, they had an encounter with the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Mr. John Kennedy-Opara, at the NCPC Secretariat, Abuja, who admonished them on the essence of their spiritual journey to the holy land.
According to Sun News, while speaking to Abuja Metro, the initiator of the programme, Revd Epunam, said the programme is about the 70 wise prophets going on a national prayer summit to Jerusalem to pray for Nigerians, to pray for the president and for the peace and security of the nation, especially in 2015.
“So, it is a self-sponsored programme. The government has no kobo in it. Captains of industry sponsored it and they are here with their products to support us. They sponsored the ministers of the gospel to go and cry for mercy for Nigeria,” Epunam said.
Epunam said the project is borne out of his passion for Nigeria. “I have been a member of the National Prayer Networkin the Villa Chapel right from the Obasanjo’s government. So, I have passion for Nigeria. I have had experiences, knowing that the foundation of Nigeria is faulty, that we have to pray to put it in the right direction and at the same time, to help men and women of God know where Jesus preached the gospel: the landmarks and where he was ascendedso that the righteous will take over the earth,” Epunam stated.
In his remarks, Opara said the sponsors of the programme were exemplary people, and urged well-meaning Nigerians to emulate their gesture.
The pioneer executive secretary of the NCPC added that by so doing, crime rate in the country would be reduced, noting that an individual who embarkedon a pilgrimage, would return to the country and transform others.
http://www.lailasblog.com/2014/12/70-men-of-god-travels-to-jerusalem-to.html?m=1 How many Israelites have travelled to Nigeria for prayer sessions ? In as much as I want this country to move forward, , we shouldn't waste our money on irrelevances... I've never heard dat God doesn't listen to prayers said outside the metropolis of Israel. |
TV/Movies › Re: Chimamanda's Novel "Americanah" Is Getting A Hollywood Adaptation! by EdwardRandy(m): 12:19pm On Dec 17, 2014 |
Kenai: Lupita Nyong'o is set to reteam with Brad Pitt's Plan B production company on the drama 'Americanah'.
Plan B, which produced 12 Years a Slave, has acquired big-screen rights to the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie-penned novel and will produce alongside D2 Prods. and Potboiler Prods. (The Last King of Scotland, Generation Kill).
Lupita Nyong'o, who won the best supporting actress prize in March for her turn in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave, is set for a lead role in Americanah, and will also produce it.
"It is such an honour to have the opportunity to bring Ms Adichie's brilliant book to the screen," Nyong'o said. "Page after page, I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze's stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humour and heart."
Americanah is the epic love story of young Nigerians, a romance that spans continents, visas, phone cards and breakups, while exploring the cruelties and the humor of both the modern immigrant experience and the difficulty of finding your way home. The novel was the winner of the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction and was selected as one of the 10 best books of the year byThe New York Times Book Review, the BBC andNewsday.
Adichie is the MacArthur Fellowship-winning author of the novels Purple Hibiscus and Half of a Yellow Sun, the film adaptation of which recently premiered in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Here's what she said;
Give a gift of life this Christmas! On my last day on the movie set in Abuja, I went to the National Blood Transfusion service in to donate a pint of blood. It was so fulfilling and rewarding and I felt like a hero. I was giving someone life! It's important to donate blood cos you never know, the life you save, might even be yours! It could save a pregnant woman, an accident victim, a very sick person or even 4 kids! If you can't give gold or silver, give blood! It's more precious!

Romance › Re: Stop Discussing The Ladies Or Guys You Bleeped With Friends. by EdwardRandy(m): 7:21am On Dec 17, 2014 |
clevvermind: Most guys are fond of the habit of discussing the lady they bleeped with friends. This habit is very bad. whatever happened between you and a lady in bed should end there. Stop talking about it with friends. stop discussing the said lady you bleeped with friends. stop describing how the lady's breast was, stop describing how the lady's pucy was after bleeping her to your friends. There is no use for that.
Some guys even go as far as revealing the identity of the lady they bleeped. it happened many times when I was on campus. My room mates will just gather together and start discussing the ladies they bleeped on campus. How their pucy was, how their breast look like etc. it was really bad. they will tell their friends, ''i don bleep that girl weni dey 300level wen e dey form well well so, i bleep am yesterday o''. and they will start the discussion. let's stop that. it is only immature people that does that. there are better things to discuss about.
Some ladies are still fond of doing such things with their friends too. They will start discussing how big and how small the guy's dick was. pls, there is no need for that. what happened should end in the bed. don't take it out to your friends. thanks. .... no matter how hard I try,, my best friend must definitely know abt it.. it's normal, so let's all not pretend over it. |
