SportsRe: Give Eguavoen Super Eagles Job – Adepoju Tells NFF by Edygrin(m): 9:23am On Nov 21, 2024
robosky02:
Why Eguavoen should continue as Super Eagles coach after AFCON 2025 qualifies

Nigeria was on a down ward fall before the beginning of the AFCON 2025 qualifies

In fact the team was so poor that no good coach wants to take over the team

But the return of Eguavoen has seen the team qualifying with 2 games to spare. The team has suddenly become a team to recon with.
In 6 match in this AFCON 2025 Qualifier we had

3 Wins
2 Draw
1 loss

The loss was a dead rubber game
But unfortunately it was at home which has made it very worrisome for some people. Some are even calling for the coach to quit.

But if we reason properly
Any coach can lose a game as long as he wins the tournament.

And to the match against Rwanda proper, I think the likes of Kelechi, Boniface ànd even Maduka failed to make a big claim to be considered for first team action
How can Maduka conceived 2 goal under 5 minutes.

All the same overall The team is in good shape. Eguavoen has qualified us and should lead the team to AFCON 2025.

Looking at Austin Eguavoen's record as the Super Eagles manager so far.

Matches in charge: 22
Won: 15
Draw: 3
Lost: 4
Goals scored: 42

It isn't a bad record. He isn't a bad coach. Just that lost 3 very important matches: 2006 World Cup Qualifiers, 2006 Nations Cup Semi- Final, and 2022 World Cup Qualifiers...

However, I like him to continue with the Super Eagles. That will be perfect. He has done well but needs to improve and earn the conference of the fans.

We should give him the team on permanent bases to build on what has been achieved and make corrections where necessary.

To bring a new coach of any sort now is going back to the stating block.
It will make us completely lose out from the world cup and we may not even perform at the AFCON.

Nigeria just finished 2nd in the just concluded AFcon, is that what you call "downward fall" and for coaches not wanting the super eagles job that's a big lie, the NFF has been unable to agree to their salary and nothing else. Eguavon losing to Rwanda at home should tell you all you need to know about him.
Foreign AffairsDeadly Israeli Air Strikes Hit Gaza - BBC Reports by Edygrin(op): 7:23am On Nov 21, 2024
Hospital officials in northern Gaza say many people have been killed in overnight Israeli air strikes.

Gazan rescue teams say search operations began early in the morning after Israel bombed at least five buildings in Beit Lahia and Gaza City.

Hamas-aligned media say dozens of people were killed and many are still buried in the rubble - including women and children.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military. It has recently intensified its offensive in northern Gaza, saying it is stopping Hamas from regrouping.

Parts of northern Gaza are under Israeli siege and virtually no humanitarian aid has been delivered in 40 days, the UN warned earlier.

Gazan medics say they are struggling to treat the injured, with aid agencies saying they cannot get essential supplies into the area.

Earlier this week, at least 34 people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a five-storey residential block in Beit Lahia, the local civil defence agency said.

The agency, quoted by AFP news agency, said many of the dead were women and children.

Israel's ground offensive in northern Gaza has displaced up to 130,000 people over the past five weeks.

The UN says 75,000 people remain under siege with dwindling supplies of water and food in the towns of Beit Lahia, Jabalia and Beit Hanoun.

Last week's report by Human Rights Watch said Israel had committed war crimes and crimes against humanity by deliberately causing the mass displacement of Palestinians in Gaza.

About 1.9 million people - 90% of Gaza’s population - have fled their homes over the past year, and 79% of the territory is under Israeli-issued evacuation orders, according to the UN.

Israel launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to the group's unprecedented attack on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.

Nearly 44,000 people have been killed and more than 104,000 injured in Gaza since then, according to the territory's Hamas-run health ministry.

On Wednesday, the US blocked a Gaza ceasefire draft resolution at the UN Security Council - the fourth time it has used its veto power during the conflict to shield its ally, Israel.

Fourteen of the 15 council members voted in favour of the draft, which demanded that the war in Gaza "must end immediately, unconditionally and permanently and all remaining hostages must be immediately and unconditionally released".

Deputy US ambassador to the UN, Robert Wood, said the document "abandoned" the necessity for there to be "a linkage between a ceasefire and the release of hostages".

Wood said the proposed resolution would have sent a "dangerous message" to Hamas.

In a separate development, US mediator Amos Hochstein has arrived in Israel from Beirut.

He has said that he sees a "real opportunity" to end the conflict in Lebanon after the Lebanese government and Hezbollah largely agreed to a US ceasefire proposal.

Give him the job permanently and watch him start misbehaving, that's one thing with Nigerian coaches.
But if he can qualify the team for the world cup then there's no debating, the job will be his.

PoliticsReduce Suffering In Nigeria – South-west Muslims Tell Tinubu by Edygrin(op): 2:30pm On Nov 17, 2024
Muslims in the South-West, under the aegis of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria, (MUSWEN), have advised President Bola Tinubu to put in more efforts to reduce suffering in the country.

MUSWEN President and Deputy President -General of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, made the call at the 9th MUSWEN General Assembly on Sunday.

DAILY POST reports that the event was witnessed by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, Executive Secretary of MUSWEN, Professor Muslih Tayo Yahya and Director of Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, Professor Isiaq Lakin Akintola.

Oladejo while speaking at the event maintained that the current economic situation in the country should be handled with serious caution.

He advised Tinubu to show more human feelings, and put measures in place in order to mitigate the general suffering in the country.

Oladejo, while speaking further, urged Tinubu to spend the gains made on subsidy removal on security, infrastructure development, electrification, massive food production and employment-generating projects.

He added that food importation should not be an option to be considered, as it would make a mockery of subsidy removal.

Oladejo further urged Tinubu to listen to the cry of Nigerians on the proposed tax reform bill.

He said, “On the proposed Tax Reform Bill, I urge Mr. President to listen to the outcries from various groups and sections of the country.

"The current economic situation in the country requires serious caution to handle. The government should show more human feelings and put measures in place to mitigate the general suffering wrought on the citizenry by some of the economic policies.

“Although we recognize the fact that the situation is not the creation of the Tinubu administration, the government should do all in its powers to alleviate the sufferings of the people.

"That is the reason Nigerians overwhelmingly voted this government into office in the 2023 election, and the President should have no reason not to make life comfortable for the people.

“On their part, too, the people should be careful not to play into the hands of politicians who had never seen anything good in the administration.

"These are the political leaders who still carry on, more than one year after the 2023 general elections, as if we are still in the electioneering period. To them, any action taken by the administration is subject to politicization, as they never see anything good in whatever action taken or not taken by the government.

“Even though somehow harsh, the government’s economic policies are meant to correct the maladministration of the past and put the country on a firm economic footing.

"The government should spend the gains made on subsidy removal on security, infrastructure development, electrification, massive food production, and employment -generating projects.

“Let me, however, sound a note of warning that food importation should not be an option to be considered: it is not a solution because it would make a mockery of subsidy removal.

“Permit me to mention here that MUSWEN has been part of the distribution of palliatives to the needy. We consider this as a moral and religious obligation.”

It wasn't a zoo when she was first lady of a state for almost 8 years, now she's out of government and no more enjoying the perks she now remembers that Nigeria is a zoo.

Infact this chimpanzee was behind her husband not handing over government to his deputy when he was in a foreign country battling with his health, I remember how she was redirecting all appointees to come through her, even signing documents on behalf of her husband.

Because she couldn't get her way she now joins her "people" to tag Nigeria a zoo, forgetting that they're the lowest class of animal in the zoo.

Google search can return me to even this your post on nairaland or any post for that matter that anyone put online in respect to the key words. If you're giving references, you state the references in its original "https://..... format that leads straight to the subject.

If I copy Google.com to a web browser, it will only take me to Google homepage and not to the reference/source of the subject matter.

I hope this clarifies on how references/sources are to be quoted.
Stop showing your stupidity, google can redirect you to the US embassy website and other sources from which you can get the data.
