The sooner we realise that these foreign embassies are using us to cashout the better for us. In 2023 about 150,000 Nigerians applied for US Visa and according to the US embassy the application fee is about $185 which is about N305k and only about 5% of the 150,000 people that applied were successful, meaning about 142,000 application were rejected which amounts to just over $26M. Meaning the US embassy in Nigeria made over $26M in 2023 from rejected Visas alone. If we had a government, every embassy would be ordered to refund all or 90% of all rejected Visa fees. But here we are, we keep making money for these countries while we're still indebted to them via loans. I just have to modify to add that in naira that amounts to over NGN43B, that's the allocation of an entire state in a year, and that's for the United States alone, now do your calculation for the UK and others, you'll understand why these people will never allow Nigeria to work. |
You think the politicians don't know this? There's a section of this country where the believe that Allah causes suffering, that Nigerians are suffering because Allah isn't happy with Nigeria, their politicians are giving millions to their imams to preach this and guess what? The people over there believe it. If you like keep praying from now till eternity if your politians don't put in work nothing will change. You think Europe and America and even Saudi became first world countries because of prayers? |
Nothing concern Tinubu with Islam o. Man just used it to further his political ambition, same with Femi Gbajabiamila his chief of staff, they know a particular region in the country will vote for a murderer or thief, they'll even vote for a demon as long as the person claim to be a Muslim. And for those thinking Tinubu will islamise Nigeria, I laugh at you. Man couldn't even islamise his house. His wife is a pastor, non of his children is Muslim, his closest allies in Lagos aren't either. Now you see? Religion is just a game for this man. |
Silence is always the best answer to attention seekers like this, I love the fact that in all she has said since, Wike hasn't given her any reply. So because you're a woman you expect everything to be easy for you, do you know what Nigerian men pass through daily?. The fact that you're a woman doesn't mean you should get everything you want, every single senator has to lobby to get their interest. |
How will his doctorate degree benefit Akwa Ibom people? |
NoahHadNoArk:😂 I'm telling you facts. |
Are they tired of listening to someone who's in far away Finland? Please they should continue to sit at home, atleast since they don't add any value to the nation no one cares. |
Sharing food only to party loyalist, is he the governor for Akwa-Ibom PDP members or the governor of Akwa Ibom State? |

When the CBN was selling dollar to Dangote at NGN200 per $1 and other businesses were forced to buy at NGN800, we didn't see Dangote complaining, when the previous government and some northern elite fought with BUA not to reduce cement price so that Dangote can keep selling at outrageous prices, Dangote didn't complain. Just a year after the same man he supported came to power and checked his monopoly he's all over the news and social media complaining. When he paid the Lagos state government $100m for the refinery land, he didn't inform the public that he bought it for that price, they were even fighting with the land owners to pay a meager sum of $4m. Now they've fallen out he's now looking for sympathy. Dangote is no different from these politicians. |
See what I wrote the other day? The north doesn't protest for bad governance unless a Christian is president. They're only wired to protest if it's about Islam. The government have activated their Islamic clerics to start telling them that protest is Haram again because it's a Muslim who's president. |
Buhari and Tinubu just wanted to fulfill their lifelong ambitions of becoming president, they had/have no plan to take Nigeria forward that's why that have been testing different policies without it working, Atiku is in that same mix, nothing to offer, just wants to become president. Peter Obi is the only man to take Nigeria forward |
Brendaniel:All the SE senators and governors before were they not thieves? Isn't it the igbos that voted for those thieves? Also FYI, Akpabio performed far better as a governor than any SE governor in history. |
Electorate:Do you think things will improve before Aug 1st? You want to protest and you're giving a date? You're giving the date so the security apparatus can prepare and wait for you? I pity those that'll go out on that day.. Serious protests are usually spontaneous, no dates nothing. Look at Kenyans that were serious about protests.. They government didn't expect it and boom the youths hit the streets. In Nigeria they're announcing date for protest, make who and who go die for their useless leaders? |
I have never seen people as docile as Nigerians. Imagine announcing protest and even fixing dates to protests.. Lol.. I pity those that the leaders of these protests will use to cashout. |
Brendaniel:You expect the SS to behave like the SE who easily betray their brother? |
Brendaniel:The igbos that were senate presidents in the past what did they do? Akpabio is from a state that is of more importance to Nigeria than the entire SE. Must you tribalise everything? |
teadrake:Like you get. The Niger Delta that even feed this nation, how many markets have the FG built? Even the federal roads are done by the state government over here and you're waiting for the FG to come and build you a community market and people under the comment section are clapping for her. The Constituency funds given to her, what does she do with it? Is the community not under a LGA? |
Anguldi:LOL. What does the minister of FCT do then? Why didn't the minister of FCT wait for the so called ruler of FCT to come and fix the road he fixed. |
AcuraZDX:Yes I know that, the video was just edited for agenda. Does she need the permission of the senate to build a community market or she just want to talk make e be like she talk. |
Lol. If the north wanted to protest, they would have been protesting already. All these statements they're making is nonsense, these ones just want to cash out. You want to protest and you're behaving like labour union, press release here and there. Una never hungry reach to protest. The north is only wired to protest if it involves Islam, anything outside that just share 1 spaghetti or one cup of rice attach 1k to it and they'll go home and rest. Also their leaders are also testing the waters to see if any group in the south will join them, all they've received is muted response. The same response they gave to the south under Buhari. |
AcuraZDX:The community is under a local government who recieve allocation from the FG, the local government also is under the FCT who has a minister and also receives allocation from the government, the community also have a representatives in the national assembly who also collect Constituency funds. Why exactly does she want the FG to build the market when they have all these people collecting huge allocations on their behalf.? |
Bobloco:He's speaking for himself, but is that not the sentiment across the south east? You don't want to protest, your politicians are saying you won't protest knowing how docile your people are, you're coming to say he doesn't speak for South East, is it Northerners that made him governor for 8 years? |
All your posts are about Akpabio and you've never said anything positive about Akwa Ibom. You're not from Akwa Ibom |
Onyedikachi231:How many zones are in the south? |

The north favourite Buhari couldn't even become president without him. The north need the south more than the south needs the north |
pazienza:You protesting or not protesting would change nothing, it's just boring seeing over hundreds of posts daily about why igbos should not protest. Like who's begging igbos to protest? |
mrvitalis:Is the South West and South South not part of south? Abi is it only the East that is south? |
Bayajjidda:The south west aren't the only ones with a stake in this government. A SS man is the senate president. The South West isn't standing alone, it's the South East that is standing alone. |
Igbo this, igbo that. Which protest has the igbo successfully carried out? Abia state was misruled for years, how many times did they protest? All I keep hearing is, igbo don't protest. What will come out of it if the igbos protest? Protest in the 5 Eastern states so your governors can turn it to Dubai then we will invite you for protests next time. |
I saw people in the other thread saying Akpabio could do nothing to Ndume because he's a "staunch politician, who stood up to Buhari". Tinubu and Akpabio no get joy o, they'll give it to the north how they want it o. The core North adds no value to this nation but always wants power. Anytime the south is president they'll be looking for ways to remove them. My happiness is that the south is waking up. |
