Yes am coming to monroe college,am already in saint lucia right now in the same school monroe college here so i am planning to transfer after this semester complete so i can fly down to NYC in january,so my question is it possible for me to get my I-20 for transfer before next semester.

Bro i should be heading the new york soon,am currently in saint lucia,i just want to transfer from here back to newyork same school Monroe collge,i dont like their lifestyle here and i cant continue to live heree again.

Abeg oo i need una opinion from diff angles ooo concerning my problem abeg,My problem is i am a student of monroe college,this college have 2 campuses in Newyork one in Bronx and the other one in New Rochelle, and the 3rd one is in Saint Lucia in the Caribbean,and i am currently in the 3rd campus saint lucia,this place is just out of it which i cant live atall,NO work or nothing nothing all they do is collect money from us nothing nothing and i am planning to move out ASAP...So my question is i want to apply for a Student visa again and it have to be in the same school so i wont have to go back to nigeria to apply,because if am applying to another school different from monroe then i will have to go back to NIGERIA,but because Monroe college have branches in Newyork i have the opportunity to go for the visa interview here,But the school here are trying to HOLD us back,they dont want to give any of us a transfer letter or anything atall,so i am thinking if it is possible for me to contact the school myself in the state for transfer so they can send me I-20 and a transfer letter so i can have my I-20 and i will be able to go for my visa interview...pls you all should share your opinions pls....I really need your HELP !!!

Hello everyone,i am a old and returning member which some of you can still remember. i need you guys opinion with the question i have for you guys,to refresh each and everyone memory about me,i have been denied a US Visa in Nigeria 3times which i posted right on here,my first interview,i wasnt prepared,2nd one i was denied cos of SAT exam i dont have a SAR result., and the 3rd interview,i was denied because of an unsure question all was with the same school,so not i am currently schooling in Monroe College in Saint Lucia,the school have 2 different campus in New york one in Bronx and the other one in New Rochelle and the third one is here in saint lucia which is out of america,the carribean country and this plc is such a pain for people like me that we pay our school fees with the money we get from any work we do,but since i got here i realise no international students are allowed to work and we have to pay house rent monthly,and school fees every semester which am not really okay with,so i am just wondering if i can go ahead and apply to another university entirely in the united state and go for my interview here in saint lucia but i am not sure if i will be intervied withoit been told to go back to my home country,i just want you all to give me the best option or anything you think i can do because i know there are some real Gurunz here in the house that can help me with what i can do next....The school am planning to apply for now is Iglobal university is it a good uni? if not pls kindly tell me any cheap uni in the state

I once attended a public orientation organised by EducationUSA @ Lagos Embassy. It's usually done every Wednesday of the week by 10am. Just walk to the embassy with an ID and tell the security agents you are going to EAC (EducationUSA Advising Centre).

You will be allowed in and you can ask questions about membership during the orinetation which is about 2 hours. I wasn't qualified to be a member as I had got admission in 3 schools already before attending and there I was told they only accept membership for fresh applicants.

Wish you success and do always tell the house about the progress of your application. I am sure if you go through all these yourself, you won't be easily intimidated when you face a VO the next time.

ivory23456: Idris I understand exactly how you Feel. Being denied can be frustrating and it doesn't allow for straight thinking. When I was denied I kept looking for different reasons as to what may have been the cause for the denial, I tell you that thing can make one go crazy. All I needed to do was just relax and listen. Which I did.
Now if only you too would just relax and listen to what you have been told on here, I tell you you'd laugh in the end at how you acted now cause you'd See that it was as simple as abc.

Didn't u read find out's experience posted few pages back? you and the others who were recently interviwed in abj confirmed that it was a reoccurring question at d abj embassy or are you planning to go to lag ds tym around? U even admitted to not answering the question correctly, and right now, u still don't know the correct answer. Homeboy, relax! Ure still young. Take all d time u need and do it right this tym around. I also advise u to have a plan B and C self. Apply to uk and Canada so u won't feel so desperate about America

If u ask me, I would ask u to make some changes in ur application before going back. Be patient, defer the admission, write at least the SAT, change ur uni to a higher ranked one not necessarily Ivy League. OjaP: Something is definitely not working for you. I would re-write the TOEFL, change my school to a better one and visit the embassy again. If this do not work, then work on MS later in life just like Imperiouxx advised.

my point is, you should fix that by writing another SAT and an awesome TOEFL score as against the one you have presently.. Then going to meet VOs would make a lot of sense.

imperiouxx: I've stopped reading visa interview experience since last Dec. I only come to give shayo smileys or to check if anything is directed to imperiouxx. I don't know what's in your previous interviews but heard you don't have SAT. Work on this.

Moreover, since you've been there many times and still the same story, why not improve in your education by getting admission in Nigeria. You'll be around 22-23 yrs old by the time you get done with that. Then apply for MS in your dream place.

imperiouxx: Since you believe your mom by your side will make a big difference...... Your faith makes you heal. Get the date and try that but I must tell you that showing there often after many records of denial without any change in your data is risky.

Got my visa at the Abuja embassy today. After waiting in vain for dates in lagos, i decided to choose Abuja, i got 16th August, applied for emergency and was able to book 1st August.

Appointment was for 10:45am. Wanted to fly in early this morning, decided against it and went yesterday afternoon, good decision it turned out to be as both flights (yesterday's and this evening's return) were delayed by an hour each (20 & 30 minutes officially ).

Anyway, got to the embassy some minutes before 10, about 15 minutes later, the security guys announced that everyone for 10:30 and 10:45 should come in. We did security checks and all...e.t.c...

Fastforward...

Now, there were only 2 VOs interviewing, a man and a woman. Both were asking lots of questions, but the man was granting more than the woman even tho man denied a good number of people too.

For everybody who came for a student visa, his first two questions after you state the name of your school were: "What state is the school located in?" & "What part of the map is the state located, north, south, west east, where?"

As it turned out, only few got both questions right, especially the second. At a point, i couldn't supress giggles when a guy going to Ball State university (which is in Indiana) was asked what state his school is located and he confidently answered "Ball state" after a few seconds hesitation. He was asked a few questions later before he was denied.

@FINDOUT CONGRATULATION ON UR VISA....WELL IT WAS THAT SAME MAP QUESTION THE GUY WAS ASKING THE MOST ND THAT WAS THE QUESTION THAT FAILED ME I THINK...AND ALSO ANSWER TO THE QUESTION U ASKED ME.....MY LAST INTERVIEW WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT !!!! CONGRAT ONCE AGAIN.
