isan:Bashiru played RWF during his days in the Trendyol Super Lig. |
yinkeys:It's not the Rohr Era, where we struggled to defend set-pieces. We've gotten better, with even Osimhen contributing in set-piece defending. |
Goke7:Tanzania is a less fancied opponent. We can as well see other players. You just have to be effective whenever you get to play. |
BankyGee:When you take him off in a UCL game Gala collapses. |
Mujtahida:He has grown on the ball. He is now metarmorphosing into a ball playing CB, thanks to Fredrick's partnership. We saw some of these qualities in Frederick against Gabon. |
semid4lyfe:They started the game with a high intensity, fatigue is most likely to set-in by the hour mark. Frank should've came on for Ndidi. It's not easy to be doing the dirty work at that age. The subs were spot- on for me. Except you prefer Ejuke to Simon. |
TheSuperNerd:Iwobi should focus on creating for the team.Let Ndidi do the defending and let Onyeka be subbed in before the hour mark when fatigue must have crept in. |
A MOTM performance from Iwobi. He linked the defence and attack with ease, hope he replicates this performance against Tunisia. He got redcarded against them in AFCON21. |
Chelle names strong line-up for Tanzania clash We should expect not less than 3 goals, since the pair of Adams and Osimhen is in the starting line up. Expect free flowing/breathtaking football. The Tanzanians will struggle to contain both strikers. |
Adams pairs Osimhen in attack taking Lookman's position in attack at the last AFCON. Chukwueze takes Simon's role in the last AFCON. A mid-field 3 of Onyeka,Iwobi and Ndidi. A back 4 OF Zaidu,Bassey,Ogbu and Osayi. This should be our best lineup going into this tournament. Go !Go !!Super Eagles. |
Please, I want Chelle to admit that Ndidi is on the decline and take him out after the hour mark.He can't be playing the whole 90, when we have quality players on the bench. Fisayo,Nnadi or Onyedika can finish the game. Even Akin, if played in his most effective role, will be able to hold his own. Start 2 strikers, to take some attention off Osimhen. We have never performed well with bean-pole strikers. We saw this with Simy and same with Onuachu. Salim Fago needs more time. |
junnyjake:His best games, have always been against European and American opponents. He struggles against physical opposition. He excelled in the Dutch league, struggled in the Serie A with Cremonese and shone in the Scottish league with Rangers. We can take him to WC and not AFCON. |

charlesemeka85:Akinsanmiro and Raph are capable replacements. |
charlesemeka85:He is almost 30. Gets subbed out, after the hour mark for Besiktas. The efficiency is no longer there. We need midfielders with goal threat. Imagine if Osimhen limps off injured like we saw against DRC Congo We will need midfielders like Onyeka to bail us in games like that. Some teams go rough on a team's top striker inorder to maim or reduce his efficiency. This is where midfielders with goal threat comes in. In football, a goal is enough to differentiate between a winner and a loser. Frank bailed us against DRC, but we want more. When last did Ndidi score in the GWG. Ndidi and Iwobi midfield is a no no for me. A midfield with no goal return in as many as 15 games. |
charlesemeka85:Pls it's time we start phasing out Ndidi. He is in his 30's.The efficiency that he is known for is no longer there. Ndidi wasn't missed in the last AFCON and we went all the way to the the finals. Not a goal threat from the middle. Raph,Onyeka and Akin are better options in midfield. We phased out Ekoong, we can as well do same to Ndidi. We need more enterprising midfielders, with goal threat in midfield. Iwobi hardly gets on the score sheet, same with Ndidi. We can't be starting the 2 together in a 2-man midfield. Raph and Akin can deputize for Iwobi, while Onyeka starts in a 2-man midfield. This reduces the over reliance on our forwards for goals in crucial matches. |
shouldn't have started the game. Onyedika should've replaced Iwobi cos the former is a DLP like Mikel. Iwobi was awful against Gabon, and need not to have started this game. Few minutes from the bench for Onyedika would have been better. Fredrick should pair Bassey while we get a good back-up to Aina. For now we can try out Femi Seriki and Ryan Alebiosu. |

Ndidi is almost 30 and shouldn't be playing full 90. He even gets subbed out after the hour-mark in Besiktas. Lookman has no business starting yesterday's game because he has been out of form. Current form should be considered when picking one's starting eleven. |

Our first 2 goals were made in Spain. Scored by sevilla's Akor and Ejuke. |
Ejuke's goal exposed the GK weakness. Osimhen was now able to score from that angle after 4 failed attempts. |
Benjamin Fredrick playing CB like ManCity's Akanji was a delight to watch. Evading a press, swift ball carrying and accurate passes. A performance he capped with a fine assist for Osimhen's first goal. |
BankyGee:Excellent tactics. Pls Osayi should not start our next match. Imagine if the referee had given the Panthers, a PK as a result of that shove by Osayi. The deflection that led to the equaliser, was also from him. His defending leaves a lot to be desired. |
quickberry:Nice to see Childera Ejuke on the list. Ejuke is one of those players who can operate as a CAM, with his take-ons and abilities in one vs one situations. Top quality addition.Hope we get to see him play. |
ChrisKels:Sir Chris, we've seen enough of Onuachu. Even in the last AFCON, he couldn't get on the score sheet. In 2019 AFCON, Ighalo replaced him after the hour-mark to score the winning goal. He is below in the pecking order of SE strikers. Hardly scores when it matters. In AFCON, JP always brought him on to hold on to a lead, by drawing fouls and holding the ball. When we needed a goal against SA in the last AFCON, we saw JP opt for Terem Moffi of OGC Nice and not Onuachu. Onuachu had a very poor start in EPL and is now doing well in a less competitive league. Let him first replicate that performance against Gala before we consider him for an invite. Tolu,Adams,Moffi and even Dessers are ahead of him in the pecking order of strikers in the SE. |
Kudos to Zaidu, whenever he plays alongside Bassey nothing gets past the left side of our defence. We saw that in the AFCON with so many clean-sheet. He was our only attacking outlet from the left, so good on the overlap. Playing like a prime Aina with insane work-rate. Chiemela on his own part blocked everything that tried entering the right side of our defence. Simon is more of a team player compared to Lookman. Adams might not have gotten on the score-sheet but his contribution in our attack today was immense. My only fear when I saw the starting lineup was Ndidi.I would have preferred Onyeka but he later scored his second international goal from the bench. We recall he was voted best mid-fielder at the AFCON. Dropping Ekoong helped us secure a place in the play-offs by keeping a clean-sheet. I loved the cohesion and selflessness I saw in the team today, from Adams,Chukwueze and Simon. We can use this forward line for our next game. Onyeka still deserves a starting place in our midfield. Ndidi shouldn't be playing 90mins, he always get subbed after the hour mark or at the 70+ mins for Besiktas. He is no longer in his prime. If he starts he should be replaced early in the 2nd-half. Overall nice game for the boys. |
In a move to ensure defensive solidity/compactness, Chelle has opted for a back four of Ajayi Bassey Benjamin and Sanusi. To ensure more creativity and trickery upfront, he opted for the pair of A.Adams and Chukwueze. Ekoong,Bruno and Tolu dropped. |
QueenJazz:We will beat Benin today. |
Cocony:Exactly, Chukwueze can step in, with his play-making skills from the flanks. |
BankyGee:Please do you have any app for match streaming? |
To keep a clean sheet tomorrow, Onyeka starts alongside Iwobi.Ndidi drops to the bench. Chiemela starts in the heart of defence alongside Bassey cos of the fast beninoise attack. Akor starts in a 2-man attack alongside Osimhen cos of his trickery in the final third. Simon and Lookman completes the attack in a diamond formation. Bright who got the assist for our equalizer against SA starts at RB. Skiing is no longer fast and Gernot Rohr will look to exploit this weakness. Go!Go!!Go!!! Super Eagles. |
