andrew444: Moses Simon is a winger and not a wing back ,so because he played as wing back in levante this season you don turn am to wing back abi ?
Moses Simon will start next game ,I don't know why that's a problem to most of you guys
He was poor in attack ,but shebi we win guinea ?
Una self Let's wait till Wednesday and see if Rohr will really bench Chukwueze. |

Mujtahida: Stop this thing na. He changed the dynamics of the game even though he had no hand in the two goals. He created two clear chances which were wasted. All of these unsettled the camerounian defense ,put them under pressure and stemmed the tide of their attacking forays.
Simon Moses on the other hand wasn't just on the top of his game today. No need to press the point. E no go enter. It's not only today.Even against Guinea he was poor in attack bar his free-kick and his defensive contribution. Simon is a WB, suitable for 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 not 4-2-3-1. |

Barryseal: One of the chances he created was as a result of the short comings of his weaker foot, he was in a position to hit the ball with his right but instead tried to cut to his left, the defence recovered and he had to square to Musa. He had higher chance of scoring if he took the shot himself, albeit using his weaker foot.
That is why stats don't usually tell the full story. Secondly I don't think 2 players were outrightly marking him. He more or less ran into traffic when he tried dribbling. Chucks had a decent game but I agree with Rohr, the goals came inspite of him not because of him. He wasn't the game changer. ''I don't believe that it changed the result but it helped us to win and to score the two goals.''-Rohr. Chukwueze's introduction disorganized their defence. Immediately Chukwueze came on he distracted them as they left both Musa and Ighalo free. Prior to his introduction they were seriously marking Ighalo and never gave Musa any space to wreck havoc. Ighalo was free,Musa was free also. Creative/technical wingers draw opponents to themselves thereby leaving their teammates free to score. |

This makes sense. I would go with Ezenwa He might still start Akpeyi.
Don't forget, he is conservative. |

Starboytwo: Good morning all, I dare say any team that comes out to play open and expansive football in this afcon go chop am....we have enough fire power to do damage even on the bench...
Sit back and employ Madagascan defensive style, if you even wanna try....but if you come out like Cameroon did and wants to score more goals my friend you go CHOP AM... You dey talk like this because we later won. We got the first goal because we attacked them first. But after the first goal our guys wanted to defend till halftime which gave Cameroon chance to equalize. It's attacking football that won us this game not some defensive football. Egypt lost yesterday because there coach in a bid for defensive solidity opted for a 4-2-3-1 instead of his 4-3-3 flat which has been winning him games. |

Oasis007: ''The question is easy to answer, you know when you have some offensive players like Oyongo, the left-back from Cameroon, who is coming forward all the time and you have an offensive strong player like Chukwueze but defensively not so good like Simon Moses, who plays in his club a more defensive position because they play 3-5-2.
''He's playing on the right or the left side, so we decided to start like this to have stability in the team and to bring in Chukwueze in the good moment. He came in after 16 minutes in the second half.
'"I don't believe that it changed the result but it helped us to win and to score the two goals.''
- Gernot Rohr
Cc ChrisKels, SuperNerd, Humility017, Forgiveness, Charlesemeka85. Bro, don't be carried away. Rohr just wanted to justify his starting line-up. Should he start Moses Simon against South Africa and get knocked out.He will be sacked. Iwobi for the 80mins he spent on the pitch produced only 3 key passes while Chukwueze produced same 3 key passes in just 30 mins. You can't set up your team defensively and still tell us we don't have good strikers. Start creative wingers like Onyekuru and Chukwueze and see a poor 9 net a hat-trick. |

Barryseal: Chukwueze didn't change the game. We have Odion Ighalo to thank, having learnt from his mistake earlier in the tournament where he tried trapping the ball in the penalty box instead of hitting the ball one time.
Yesterday, Omeruo's mis hit shot fell to him and he hit it one time, goal! Musa's chest pass, he hit one time, Goal! Chukwueze had nothing to do with any of the goals. He didn't even have a shot on target. Chukwueze created 3 clear cut chances within the 30mins he spent on the pitch. |

TheSuperNerd: Note: I still want Rohr gone in the long run. It had to take a HT loss to make him see that Simon adds little to our attack. He is always more defensive and less creative. Chukwueze is a game changer and a threat any coach will put two or three players on. Anyway... More on my analyses later....
Back to the matter you raised my good man.....
I am coming... Just putting finishing touches to the list... Sir Joebie is their chairman.
I dey come... I dey number 7 NFF should just get a tactician to work with Rohr.Rohr should stay. |

somehow: Can someone please beg Rohr to use 2 strikers tomorrow?
4:1:3:2, 4:4:2 or 3:5:2.
If he fails to do anything out of these 3, he should be hunted down and made to cough all the salaries paid to him this year.
Ighalo Musa upfront
Or Ighalo Onuachu upfront Simon and Chukwueze need to start too.
If Colons is fit, Awaziem should kiss the bench, Aina for 2 and colins for 3
Troosk and Omeruo at the center.
Ndidi and Etebo in the middle.
Iwobi should start from the bench. Musa is a poor crosser of the ball. The mid-field feeds Ighalo but his immobility is what stops him from scoring. He(Ighalo) keeps on standing in front of (very close to) the CBs. Kalu is not fit. Simon contributes well defensively but loses the ball most times while attacking. |

Mybettingtips: The team hardly create any meaningful chance in 90mins. Gonna be hard for any striker to score goals with the way the team plays. They play a defensive game and send long balls to the striker. What do you expect a striker to do with long balls when marked by two jam body defenders. You are marked out before you even get chance to nod or control the ball. We need to play attacking football and open up defenses with trickery and accurate passes not those annoying long balls Ighalo should also know that his call-ups will end if Rohr gets sacked. I don't think he is better than Osimhen or Odey. |

Awaziem is not a RB.
This match would have been the right match to start Osimhen.Against a team like Madagascar you need a fast striker like Osimhen.
Onyekuru should have started as LWF.
I just hope Rohr will be brave enough to give Osimhen and Onyekuru a chance. |

Super Eagles
Training Report :
Iheanacho
Surprise
Inclusion In Top
Five Performers
The Super Eagles of Nigeria
have been training in Asaba
ahead of their participation at
the next Africa Cup of Nations in
Egypt and Owngoalnigeria.com
picks five players who have so
far impressed in the three
sessions the team have had so
far.
1. Victor Osimhen – He has
carried his form from Belgium to
the camp of the Super Eagles of
Nigeria. In the three training
sessions the team have had so
far, the forward has maintained
his sharpness level which is the
highest among the strikers in
the camp of the team.
2. Moses Simon – No doubt he
is fired up for this one. The way
he was gliding past his markers
with ease was the main
highlight of his game during the
session. He took it a step
forward with his pin point
delivery when in space and even
in tight spaces.
3. Samuel Chukwueze – No way
is he not going to make the
squad for AFCON 2019. He was
not just sharp and lively but
also very decisive with the ball
at his feet. Another side of his
game he appears to have
worked on is defending as he
won so many balls for his team.
4. Leon Balogun – Despite his
limited game time at Brighton
and Hove Albion he looked very
fit and sharp. During the
session he got his interceptions
and tackles right and didn’t tire
out as expected. The personal
training he had has kept him in
shape for this.
5. Kelechi Iheanacho – Many
criticised his inclusion in the
squad of players for the
tournament, no thanks to his
poor form and lack of game time
at English Premier League side
Leicester City. That appears to
have zero effect on his
performance as he was very
clinical during the shooting
drills and the 5-aside game they
played. He scored with almost
all of his efforts. |

With Osimhen on the bench, good Osimhen should start in the absence of Ighalo.Osimhen did better in the same pitch against Uganda. |

Curtisaxel7: Gernot Rohr has work to do.
We need at least two new CM's. We can't play a tourney with only Etebo in CM. Onazi's form has dipped lately and adding that to his current injury woes, it's not looking too good for him. Joel Obi is out of the question. Ogu is too slow to play CM. Mikel will be deployed at AM, Ndidi at DM.
So if Etebo gets injured or loses form, we may well start to think of how to play without a CM. Iwobi is Rohr's current no.10 and I don't see that changing at the AFCON.In the CM &DM we have Ndidi,Etebo,Mikel and Ajayi. Modified:Chukwueze,Mikel and Iwobi can play the AM role. |

Taliban: I concur with you. At least we can agree that according to Moses the Turkish league is competitive and not easy as some people are inclined to believe. Mikel never complained about the quality of the Chinese league till he left the league.Even Ighalo no go tell you say Chinese league easy. Let's wait till Moses leaves the Turkish league. |

Icon4s: I would rather we continue to build on 3CB back line. Rohr should play out a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. We have qualfied already. Nothing to be afraid of and we are playing Seychelles that we can even beat with our Flying Eagles team.
I would like to see Musa pair up with Osimhen upfront. Samuel Kalu has to start for us to see how well Osimhen can utilize his crosses. I would rather we stick to our Balogun-Ekong-Omeruo back line for them to continue to build synergy. Aina and Jamilu should play as Wing backs.
My set up: 3-4-3
... Musa.....Osimhen....Kalu
Jamilu.........Iwobi................Aina .....................Ndidi
......Balogun...Ekong...Omeruo Nice formation. How come you didn't include Onyekuru but rather preferred wingers with high work rate that can track back to defend? |

Na so una talk say Emery go loan Iwobi to Lazio, as Emery sign Suarez una talk say him go bench Iwobi. No matter the kind of formation Rodgers adopts Ndidi can never be on the bench.Coaches prefer players with high work rate like Ndidi and Iwobi. |
