Nairaland / General / Unwanted Messages by Eemah(m): 3:41am On Nov 24, 2010
Please I want sumone in the house to help and educate me on how to stop some kind messages that have been coming to my email addresses recently with names of ladies as senders and all claiming to have gotten my address from NAIRALAND proposing relationships to me and then afterwards try to give me some cock and bull's story of how they have been orphaned and inherited some huge sums of money and they are looking for some trust-worthy person who will help them to process the money one was even foolish enuf to send the picture of a lady that looks like a movie star cum model and was saying that He-she lives in a refugee camp in Guinea and from my last check of the UNHCR website there is no refugee camp in that country.
I want the moderatos or sumone in the house to let the moderator's know that they should pleas increase privacy measures on the forum to avoid such messages getting to a NAIRALANDER who might swallow thir tales and fall prey to their antics as for me, I AM BAD MARKET TO THEM.

Politics / Re: Lagos Students Create A Fuel-less Power Generator! by Eemah(m): 12:48am On Nov 24, 2010
Murphy G:

Its unfortunate that the level of education in Nigeria is this low! Cant even believe my ears! Its a good thing that those kids proved electromagnetic laws practically. However this shouldnt have raised any noise! shocked shocked. Infact the next neighbouring school shldnt have even heard of it. Why? Because this isnt a new technology. Now we can see the type and kinds of journalists Nigeria produce these days, He/she has never seen anything like that before.

Now technically speaking, what was the source of the electricity produced?' The kids said they used magnetic flux to produce electricity' grin grin grin grin. So the flux just started rotating on their own? This lacks sense.

OK, so the source of the electricity is electricity. Does that make any sense? How and why?? Imagine that there is no electricity and we want to generate one, so how will their silly power generator generate electricity without electricity to power it?
Mumu pple (their teachers and that illitrate journalist wey write that story)

It's so disgusting the rate of deception and pretense that go on in our society, i mean you n me know that this kids are not the ones who assembled this machine cos i won't call it an invention. An invention is when you bring something that has not been in existence into existence. What happens is that the science or intro-tech teacher assembles this machines and the school get the brightest of it's students, coach them what and what to say during presentation of the machines and they are taken to this shows and paraded as the investors of the machines.
The only thing i want to tell us Nigerians is that the technologically advanced countries did not start that way,for God's sake what are we teaching this youngsters? to grow up and become deceivers ?We will never go anywhere as long as we goon this way, the thing is so annoying to the extent that even on NTA you see highly placed government officials applauding products that are claimed to be invented by this youngsters when we all know it is not so.

Pennywise:

You can be certain of the ability of our security services to get to the bottom of this. Once they get hold of you over issues of what is considered state security, human right (fundamental or not), anti-torture laws and treaties are all out the window.

While in their custody all your activities, plans, objectives-immediate, remote or suspected come to life in your confessions. You will be amazed at the capacity of your memory center to perform. The lucky ones are those who live to tell abt their experiences.

This is true now as it was during the military regimes because the same actors and players are still very much in the system. One character no matter how peripherally placed can bring the roof down on an entire enterprise in the face of crude torture.

Secondly, the men they are after dont appear to be revolutionaries. They all seem to be businessmen who want more of the good life.

So do the security agencies have the ability to unearth the stated finds, yes. Could they have made it up for some kind of adulation? Possible but not likely.

That.s Correct ma broda !

[b]She has been preaching to us to like our own and use what is our. we created the word 9ja and we are using  like good disciples and now she says it is disrespectful, Must we always live by the standards of our white colonialists ? after all the Americans call the US Yankee and they are very comfortable with it.
Sum one should help me tell her that. that is not our problem for now.our problems are;
electricity
food on our tables
security
good hospitals with quality and affordable drugs
a functional public sector educational system
and lots of myriads of problems that time and space will not let me write down for now.

Why all this CRAZE about anything UK by some Africans how would his proposal give jobs to jobless Nigerians, or put food on the table for hungry Nigerians, or provide quality healthcare to sick Nigerians who cant afford to pay their medical bills ? I wonder why all the hype about one yellow paw-paw chap proposing to his equally yellow paw-paw girlfriend, give the love stricken chap and his girlfriend six months after the marriage ,and see if cracks does not begin to appear on the walls holding the union, call me any name you wish after all his protagonists raped mother Africa of the best of every resource you can think of without apology and here we just cos one of the descendants of the rapist has proposed to his sex mate we are giving it a headline spot in the news even on our own dear NTA.After all Princess Diana's proposal had far more hype than this and remember how it ended SO DISGUSTING !!! angry angry angry
