These are old old news, I think this is 2017 news. ondo govt brought this old news for cheap popularity due to the election coming up. this proof that Nigeria politicians are not popular. what dey do is to steal popularity during the election day by using thugs and ringing elections. God save Nigeria |
I support Biafra Republic for the Igbo's. but Nnamdi Kanu will destroy the struggle for the Igbo's. insulting the leader of Pan-Niger Delta Forum and other ethnic groups in the region might lead to great consequences against the Igbo's in future time. the Niger Deltans have said it times without numbers, that they are not Biafra |
Down stream from Jebba in Niger Republic, the river Niger enter its lower course flowing East -Southeast through a broad and shallow valley 5 to 10 miles. from Jebba in Niger Republic it is joined by the Kaduna river. At Lojoka, the river received the water of its greatest tributary which is the Benue river thereby doubling the volumes of its discharge. from lokoja the Niger river flow south passing some notable towns and villages such as Idah and Onitsha. the River Niger flow to Aboh in Delta state and separated into many branches flowing through the present state of Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers state before reaching the Gulf of Guinea. One of the major reason why River Niger can't be classify as an international water because the River Niger passes through lot of towns and creeks in the Niger Delta region. what make Niger republic a landlock country is because the river Niger passes through another country Called Nigeria. if Nigeria should disintegrate in future time, every boat or little ship that intended to use the River Niger to access the sea will be subjected to screening and taxation from the Niger Delta. Niger Delta will have full Authority and will be Responsible for the Security of the water without interference from world body and other region that have access to the River Niger ( Niger Republic, Northern Nigeria and South East ) below are the Rivers been claims as international water in the Heart of Niger Delta Region

TheGodlessGod:I'm the Op that created this topic. I'm an Isoko man from Delta state. I really don't want to comment on this topic that I created. but some elements from other region have been trying hard to exclude Edo from Niger Delta which is getting offensive. most people in this forum didn't know that almost all tribes in present Delta state came from the palace of the great Benin Empire. from lka -Aboh-Isoko-Urhobo-Ndokwa ( almost all tribes ) so the formal mid-west region have a blood lineage. |
Nosa Akenzua, Asaba The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Delta ranked as second least poor state in the country. The bureau, in its latest Poverty Index Report, ranked Delta second after Lagos among the states with low poverty rate, and said that 40.1 per cent of Nigeria’s total population was poor. According to it, an average of four out of 10 individuals in Nigeria have real per capita expenditures below N137, 430 per year, meaning that monthly income of an individual in this category is less than N11,500 while income per day is N383.03. The report said “Lagos State has 4.50 per cent poverty head count rate and closely trailed by Delta with 6.02 per cent. “The report translates to over 82.9 million Nigerians considered as poor by national standard.” In his reaction, Commissioner for Information in Delta, Mr Charles Aniagwu, on Tuesday said in Asaba that the report was a reflection of the “Prosperity for all Deltans’’ agenda being vigorously pursued by the Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa administration. He also stated that due to the enabling investment climate created by the Okowa led government, particularly in oil bearing communities, Delta had been one of the highest revenue earners from Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) which also indicated that the state government had been putting into judicious use the monies accrued to the state. Aniagwu thanked the NBS for conducting living standards survey 10 years after the last one and for using consumption expenditures approach in measuring poverty in Nigeria rather than income approach. According to him, conceptually, consumption expenditures better reflect the achievements of a particular level of welfare by a household, while income represents the opportunity of reaching a certain level of well-being. “The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Monday, May 4, 2020, released the long-awaited Nigeria Poverty and Inequality Survey Report 2019. “The report places Delta State as the second least poor (poverty reduction milestone) State in Nigeria, after Lagos. “This particular survey, conducted with support from the World Bank, recorded a clear departure from the previous exercises, especially in the area of methodology where the consumption expenditures approach was adopted. “With the new national poverty line at N137, 430 or $361 per person per annum, which translates to $0.98 per day and captures about 40 per cent of the total population, it shows considerable improvement over the years. “In the last couple of years Delta has remained one of the highest earners in the country in terms of crude oil revenues due to the peaceful relations between International Oil Companies IOCs and host communities. “The Okowa administration in his first tenure promised Deltans prosperity for all and in his second term he said he would build a stronger Delta in terms of the economy, projects and of course, peaceful relations. “The NBS rating is a pointer to the fact that Delta’s resources have been put to judicious use by the Okowa-led government thereby reducing poverty to a level that we can boldly say that we are working. “Our desire as a state is to come top in the country and also further improve the standard of living of Deltans in line with best global standards,” he stated. The report indicated that Sokoto, Taraba, Jigawa, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Yobe and Adamawa lead the poorest states in the country. The survey is used to measure prevalence of poverty and to estimate a wide range of socio-economic indicators, including benchmarking of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). https://metrodailyng.com/2020/05/05/delta-is-2nd-least-poor-state-in-nigeria-nbs/amp/ |
some days ago there was a topic about which region is capable of becoming a country among the six Geo political zone, there were sentimental debate mostly blw the west and the east region, anytime a person from the Niger Delta try to defend his region concerning the topic, someone from the east will tell him that, there is nothing like Niger Delta republic. meaning Niger Delta is under Biafra. in the same topic, someone was saying that we lack human development index. that language is very insulting to the collective people of Niger Delta. the eastern people where busy talking how they have high human development index in their region, but according to the latest poverty report from NBS, it stated that the south south region have least poverty, but the case of the south east is different. the south east can't have high human development index and the rate of poverty is also high. that tell you that the south south have high human development index compare to the south east. Delta state came second with the lowest poverty rate, very close to Lagos state. every region accept the latest NBS report, even the northern region didn't complain about it, but the east where accusing the west concerning the report. please you people should stop using the words. THE SO CALLED NIGER DELTA. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE NIGER DELTA. THE SE/SS ( unnecessary attachment ). using the following words is an act of disrespectful which might have future consequences everyone stay safe ( COVID 19 IS REAL ) |

The manners Nigeria leaders act and promote illegality is worrisome. Delta state govt that opposed the increment of workers salary is ready to lavish $25 thousand US Dollars, ( 10, million Naira ) per goal for super Eagles. In a case where the game could have ended 1-4, the state govt would have to give away 40 million Naira, when an average Delta state worker is receiving stipend as salary. local govt work are been paid on percentage. if truly okowa administration is a lover of sport, then Warri wolves have no business in the relegated division. the present administration came, warri wolves were relegated because the govt refuse to fund the club, but he is ready to lavish on super Eagles because election is around the corner. This is one way how govt okowa is mismanaging the state resource on reckless activities. Delta state as an oil producing state with fat allocation and IGR, with little or nothing to showcase as an achievement, terrible infrastructure, most roads are death trap in delta state. Delta state is a bless state with talented citizens but are been rule under the command of unintelligent set of criminals and political terrorists such as okowa and his political gangs. next year is election, we should vote very wisely. |
I know that he will not pick someone from the East, because, that will be political suicide. East don't have electoral strength. South/south or Southwest is the ideal choice. but Ben Bruce is a lazy politician oo. I will prefer another candidate as the VP in the SS or SW, rather than Ben Bruce long live PDP |
Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has chosen who will be his running mate in the 2019 general election. Mr Abubakar popularly known as Atiku on Sunday defeated 11 presidential aspirants of the PDP to clinch the ticket of the opposition party. The former vice president will have to slug it out with President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, (APC). Mr Buhari is seeking a second term in office. A source close to Mr Atiku who do not want his name published has told NairaNaijaNews that the former vice president has settled for Senator Ben Murray-Bruce to be his running mate in the next year presidential election. “Turaki has chosen to run with Senator Bruce,” the source told us. The source cited the recent withdrawal of the lawmaker from seeking to return to the Senate as a reference. When reminded that Mr Bruce said he was stepping down based on the agreement of zoning in his senatorial zone, the source said politicians must always give reason(s) for their action. “Don’t be deceived by what Bruce said, haven’t you noticed how he has been following the former vice president around?” the source queried. “If he wants to return to the red chamber, he will, but he withdrew his participation because Atiku promised to run with him,” said the source. The source added that former President, Goodluck Jonathan, recommended the lawmaker as running mate to the former number two citizen. http://www.nairanaijanews.com/2018/10/2019-atiku-chooses-senator-bruce-as.html?m=1 |
