More Development and Reactions:

edogirl2:
It said that the flight was covered by a diplomatic clearance given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, noting that the Autonov 124 Russian commercial plane was forced to land at the Kano airport because of dense air traffic at Ndjamena airport,Chad.

If the plane's stop in Kano was impromptu due to 'dense traffic in Ndjamena airport,' then it means the plane was not originally scheduled to stop on Nigerian soil. So how and why did France obtain prior diplomatic clearance 'given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.'

Secondly, the suggestion of dense air traffic at Chad's airport is laughable. How many flights leave or enter that airport per day.

Thirdly, if France indeed obtain diplomatic clearance from Nigeria, I would have thought its landing in Kano would not surprised Nigerian officials (DSS etc), and not only were they surprised, they ordered its detention and search

Fourth, why would Nigeria grant diplomatic clearance for a gun running exercise between France and its puppet nation Chad

The truth is far from what is being revealed. This was a gun running exercise by France that went awry. They have been scrambling behind closed doors all weekend to get Nigerian government (fast becoming another France puppet) to agree to this made up story of prior diplomatic clearance.
We the ordinary people are not fooled.

All I want is Buhari/Fashola.

It is a fine blend of the past, present and the future. A vibrant and credible ticket that can generate the needed number of votes. Both are performers. While Buhari will set the pace of governance and set the overall agenda, take all the heats, Fashola can take the role of running daily operation of government.

The challenges facing Nigeria is much and we need a team capable of delivery.

Anyone that tell you he will not vote a Buhari/Fashola ticket have no plan of voting APC. The Progressives should not waste their strength trying to please PDP agents that have no plan of voting for them.

Buhari, in his own comments yesterday, described the allegations of looting against Abacha as “baseless”, because according to him, “ten years after Abacha, those allegations remain unproven because of lack of facts”.

Saying the allegations against Abacha was baseless is implying what?
So can you provide us any Federal Government investigation or lawsuit against Abacha. All we here is money return here and there with no prosecution against Abacha.

Even the one that was instituted against the Son, was hurriedly withdrawn and case file shredded as a favour for the Abachas to Oil Jonathan's reelection bid.

Jonathan is now boldly having close-door secrete Strategy meetings with Abacha's son: https://www.nairaland.com/2030884/breaking-jonathan-abachas-son-close-door

16. They wish Buhari were corrupt and attempt to stain Buhari whenever you prove corruption against GEJ.
17. They know APC is winning the next election with Buhari so they sponsor pro Atiku, pro Rochas and pro Kwakwnaso posts.
18. The GEJ Abacha talks is particularly embarrassing to them so they turn round to opine that Abacha' s son was not corrupt, just the father. This is not true and the son has is own cases to answer.
19. They also quote Buhari liberally to say he was an Abacha supporter.

Don't forget Buhari was Abacha's hatchet man in the petroleum sector, there's a reason Abacha made Buhari chairman of PTF.
So the writers comment is now the his quote. The writer paraphrased to suite his twisted agenda. It was widely reported and all those articles that quoted Buhari's exact words had this to write.

Buhari, in his own comments yesterday, described the allegations of looting against Abacha as “baseless”, because according to him, “ten years after Abacha, those allegations remain unproven because of lack of facts”.

Can Buhari be arrested and tried in court, the answer is no.
If there were facts that point this insurgency to Buhari and he's subsequently arrested, how do you explain jurisprudence to his horde of Talakawas?
If you believe he can be arrested even if there was proof then you're not a student of history.
Nobody is above the law. The only reason Buhari is not prosecuted is that his hands are clean. PDP has scrutinized Buhari for 15yrs and cannot find any dent on him.

Gen. Buhari even did advised Jonathan much earlier to Investigate, Arrest and Prosecute everyone that has a hand in the deaths of Innocent Nigerians. He even advised Jonathan to seek Death penalty on anyone found to be party to the killings and sponsoring it.

Do you agree with Buhari that Abacha was not corrupt?
Keep twisting his words. He emphatically stated - that the allegation has remained unproven because the PDP led administration has failed to present the facts.

Instead of prosecuting Abacha and all those alive that have case to answer, Jonathan is withdrawing the only pending case against the Abachas having them in his inner circles and incorporated them into the PDP.

BTW, this is about the numerous hypocrisies of Jonathan's supporters. If your plan is to divert attention, then you Failed on Arrival.

Are you're one of the gullible Nigerians who believed Buhari when he said Abacha was not corrupt? If Abacha was indeed not corrupt, so also is Babangida, Ibori, Igbinedion etc.
As for the recovered money, open a different thread for that. My response was to egift who always market Buhari as an incorruptible leader.
In 2008, Buhari asked for the FG to present facts or stop making baseless allegations:
Buhari, in his own comments yesterday, described the allegations of looting against Abacha as “baseless”, because according to him, “ten years after Abacha, those allegations remain unproven because of lack of facts”.

But instead of compiling and presenting a comprehensive case against Abacha, Jonathan like other PDP members - is presenting Awards to Abacha, withdrawing a criminal case against Abacha son and having a marathon close-door meetings with the Abachas.

Ceasing it delivers the armory. Impounding it and clamping down on Chad, makes him appear tough and a serious minded fellow. But it is obvious that like every other thing we have seen them do, this is yet another ill-thought plan.

This thread shows how low we have fallen. Maybe we were always like this but we just didn't want to admit it to ourselves.

A sitting president makes the kind of outrageous comments that in saner climes would have brought down his government in 24 hours. In Nigeria we sit and DO NOTHING. undecided

There is more than enough evidence that the current administration is not accountable to Nigerians and is working against their interests. This thread proves it. The question is whether Nigerians are ready to do the hard work required, come February 14 next year.

We shall see.

1. They want Jonathan to be reelected as President of Nigeria but they want the division of the Federation.
2. They hate the massive Corruption in Government but they strongly support the same corrupt politicians to be reelected.
3. They know the current administration is bad but they want it to continue.

4. They accuse people unjustly as "Fanatics" while all their comments and positions is determined through narrow tribal and religious bigotry.
5. Even when they see those they support engaging in illegality, they will say "let him be, it is his (our) turn".
6. Anyone not supporting Jonathan is tagged all evil names (Boko Haram sponsor, traitor, etc).

7. Here on NL, they try to elevate their inferiority complex by adding some foul words to their names, dangerous words and when it is not working, they result to all manners of insults and dirty talks.
8. Generally, most Jonathan supporters have limited access to facts. It is common to see them dropping some incoherent soundbites, phrases and punchlines. You will just be wasting your time if you try to engage them in any meaningful discussion.
9. Most of them are queuing up in hope for whatever could fall off the Table of Corruption.

10. Lies and falsehood to them is a smart politics.
11. Many Jonathan's supporters are doing so because they believe Jonathan's fat wallet and hold will be impossible to defeat so they have succumbed to "fate".
12. Many people supporting Jonathan's reelection in 2015, are aware that Nigeria has a very bad leadership, but they also believe it is too deep and bad to even try making a Change.

13. They are a afraid of changing the status quo.
14. Most Jonathanians like re-writing and misrepresenting history.
15. Like in the case of Subsidy protest in 2012, they are just bad-mouthing Nigerians while positioning themselves to benefit from the new incoming administration.

Finally, I have also met and stay with few good Nigerians who are supporting the Stealing-Is-Not-Corruption administration of Dr. President Jonathan for very good reasons and convictions.

Again, I'm 100% sure that if Goodluck had participated in just one of the multiple presidential debates he successfully dodged during the last presidential election, he wouldn't be our president today.

He must not be allowed to get away this time around. He must come out and debate openly with the other candidates.
We want to know our next president and his plans for the next 4 years.
I don't think he has any new plan for Nigeria in the next 4 yrs. If he has such plans, why has he not execute them in the last 6yrs?
