obaiIaIa:We had a President from the region and that did not happen. The development of the Niger Delta (or any other region) should not be lost to political slur. This thread is about on the youths and people of the region to engage and rally support for development. Rather than bomb themselves to oblivion and wonder why investors are not shown up. |
drss2:^^^ If true, there must be a whole lots of uselessness in your life ![]() |
PhockPhockMan:Dear Mazi Phockery, again you lost your argument in exaggeration (like 70% of resources from Bayelsa State is given to Kano). And accusing the President of funding genocide is childish at best. On political front, their is more to be done to restructure Nigeria. But the participation of the Youths in development of their communities instead of wasting away in criminality is still a valid option. |
PhockPhockMan:Nigeria is not the only country the Federal Government collate resource for National utilization. Billions have been allocated to the region - sufficient enough to bring about significant development - but such funds have been repeatedly squandered. The points I stated were a suggestion that galvanize and engage the youths without necessary following a political pathway. It will not solve everything (in fact more will be done from other quarters) - but sincerely, the impact will be significant. |
obaiIaIa:We discussing the progress, development, youth engagement and solution to the Niger Delta. At least put away your childishness. Hope you are not one of those cheering the bombing and destruction of the region? |
olaolaking:Cheers! These model can also be applicable to most communities and regions of the country. God bless Nigeria. |
chocolateme:I agree. Let us hope someone consider it. Any further additions will be cool as well. |
First, I will like to state clearly am not from the region. But since they are my fellow citizens and also a region that have been a source of prosperity to the nation, I wish to make out some time and make my contribution. So I will go straight to the points. My advice is to the youths and the good people of the Niger Delta who wish to see a better development for the region and wish to play an active role in such development. Ordinarily, the leaders and politicians from the region are very much in a better position to do these, but repeatedly these politicians have proven to be a big disappointment. Here are highlight of steps I believe will make a positive impact in the development of the Niger Region: Disband All Hostilities The very first thing that must be done is to disband all militancy in the Niger Delta Region. The Avengers, MEND, etc must all be disbanded and renounce hostility. The youths must also banish any form of criminality and attacks. In fact, they can go further to declare that anyone found doing such “is an enemy of the region”. And is found will be hunted down. They should also pledge to work with the nation’s defense apparatus should the need arise, to ensure safety, peace and development. Form An Economic Platform Immediately after disbanding and renounce hostilities, the Niger Delta region should rally together and form a single Economic Forum. The leadership structure should represent all the States and be expandable to Local Government Areas. Outline Areas Of Priority The above Economic Forum should setup a Team that will consult widely to outline areas the forum needs to concentrate its efforts. It could be Top 10 fundamental areas or a broad all-encompassing 50 to 100 interests for the region. But I will advise starting small and expand with time. Set Achievable Objectives Each item included above must individually be accompanied with very specific goals and sublets that will ultimately lead to the main objective. There will be no room for ambiguity or day-dreaming at this point. All must practical, realistic and achievable. Rally Support The youth once armed with their goals and well-articulated details, they now have to rally the support of other indigenes and people of the region to their campaign. They should share their plans publicly (the social media is always a good start), ask for inputs, suggestions and make necessary amendments. Once there is a majority of support for this campaign, time to move to the next level. Seek Resources Certain nothing will be done without funding. Our new Niger Delta Youth-Driven Economic Platform can now seek all the funding they need. I will even recommend establishing a CBN manage account with a single account number, creditable from any bank in Nigeria. With a good website and a chain of official social media accounts, public pledges and contributions can be made public. I also recommend seeking funding from the Federal Government, all States in Nigeria, Businesses, all Oil Companies in Nigeria, Foreign agencies and institutions, individuals, etc. Constitute Vibrant Monitoring Team Before work commence, the group must setup an active Monitoring Team that will ensure they keep an eye on the work that was set out for execution. The Youths must also prove to be better than our politicians that loot and squander money set aside for work. Review Progress Weekly and Monthly assessments is needed to keep the public, investors, contributors and other partners fully informed of what is done, including what is being spent. This will help rally confidence and bring in more funds. Hold Politicians Accountable The Youth from the region must hold their leaders and everyone elected accountable. These efforts and campaign should transcend party politics. Am very optimistic that such agenda for the Niger Delta Region will be more fruitful that these hide-and-seek destruction. It is also a course many will gladly support with pride without any form of fear. And anyone not supporting it can also be tagged an enemy of the region. https://www.informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/buhari-600x433.jpg President Buhari has way of resetting corrupt individuals without saying a words. A shout-out to the Wailing Miscreants now in hiding since Mrs Aisha landed in Washington DC. ![]() |
wEsOmE:When we are done with him, Nigeria's National Anthem will be his favorite song. FYI, there will never be Biafra in Nigeria. If you want it so badly, you can relocate to Jerusalem. We want the development of Aligbo. Any attempt to setup any BiaNonsense Caveland will be met with panel-beating. You have been duly warned. |
No doubt a lot more needs to be done. But so far, President Buhari is on the right track. God bless Nigeria. |
https://www.informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/buhari-600x433.jpg President Buhari's sophisticated maturity is drowning all the noise. It is well with Nigeria! |
Trailblazer1:My dear am good. Nobody ever said that clearing up the 16yrs mess of the PDP will be easy. The current goal is to instill accountability by curbing corruption, diversify the economy, engage the youths of economic initiatives, build strategic infrastructures, etc. Buhari is on tract. All well-meaning Nigerians will support him to make those happen. |
Jonathan be like: Your Excellency, I swear I do not know anything about those Scavengers! ![]() |
Nigeria is a great country our coughing make others catch cold. Nigeria will overcome all its current economic challenges. God bless Nigeria. |
Deepfreezer:Ashamed of what exactly? That your hate, bigotry and unpatriotic tendency is eating you up. Abeg park well. You can abuse, curse and even skin yourself - it won't Nigeria from moving forward with President Buhari in charge. Long live this God's country - Proudly Nigerian! |
https://www.informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/buhari-600x433.jpg President Buhari's ability to transcend the mucky waters of Nigeria's political spectrum has left all the scavengers dumbfounded. All the wailing miscreants can do now is hurl insults left and right. God bless Nigeria! |
For a while now, it has been very difficult for the embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki and his team to successfully link Bola Ahmed Tinubu (the APC National Leader) to his numerous self-inflicted predicaments. So yesterday, one of his main support Senator Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi West, took a walk at Bourdillion Road (in Lagos) where the former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu lives. There are three major political moves being targeted by the writers of Dino's Playbook: 1. Drag Tinubu To The Open Many have asked how can Tinubu be so powerful even without holding any office? And others believe that he has maintained the upper hand by operating from the dark, thereby striking at will if he so desired. By luring Jagaban to an open confrontation with Dino, he can be easily linked to the travails of Saraki. 2. Demystify The Fear Of Tinubu The former Lagos State Governor has the reputation as it is today as a Master of the Nigeria's Political Game - a reputation enjoyed by someone like IBB when he was doped the Maradona. Many Politicians are hoping that our Democracy, Reputation of Buhari and of course the Constitution will constrain Tinubu from pulling any stunt on Dino Melaye as he pokes the bear. Should Dino scale free, they too can publicly snub the APC National Leader with reckless abandon. 3. Prep Up The Portfolio Of Dino Yes, Dino Melaye is also in it for himself. Should he scale free unhurt politically of otherwise, he hopes to boost his image as a fearless, brave and stronger politician who confronted the power that be. His role as Saraki's (or anyone else) attack dog will come with a bigger package. As everyone watches out for how Mr. Tinubu will respond, Dino will keep riding the wave in hope of milking the all the juice he can drain. Tinubu has had some big political battles in the past, this new projection from the Saraki's camp with Dino as a bait will be one worth watching. Regards, Egift cc: lalasticlala |

MalcoImX:I keep telling them, if the events leading to the last general elections should replay itself in the same sequence again and again, the outcome will remain the same. I always laugh reading them demanding for their corruption back. Now all the wailing miscreants are excited about is cutting off their nose just to spite Mr. President. I salute all the well meaning Nigerians knocking sense into their skulls. Nigeria is on the path to greatness. We will get there. |

May 29th will always remain indelible in the calendar of every Nigerian as a day we celebrate our journey through democratic rule. And that of 2015 will be celebrated more as a day Nigerians united to achieve the unimaginable – that we as a people have the capacity to sack any elected officer who refuse to serve for the interest of the masses. Yes we did it and some of those who took us for granted, can’t still come to terms in accepting the truth. The journey to steer off the cliff and reverse the enormous destruction afflicted to Nigerians through years of poor leadership, corruption, disregard to the laws of the land, is one that will take long to achieve. But the good news is that we have in the current leadership of President Buhari, the capacity to do what is right and whatever it takes. I have read all the rants of some misguided elements call for the “bring back corruption” and that all the efforts being made to recover looted funds to be stopped. The truth is that these folks are missing their corrupt channels of milking Nigeria dry. All they can do now is support any imaginable thing that can bring harm to Nigerians and the Nation at large. They will cling on any disaster – both real and imaginary. Care less about these ones, trying to help them is a waste of time. As Mr. President, his team and indeed Nigerians work daily to bring relieve and prosperity to Nigeria, we all will lend our support to help bring about a progressive change. Criticism and dialogue are positive tools to keep our leaders in check. But we should never give heed to those who wish Nigeria harm and who applauds every disaster. Nigeria will be great. Things will be better. The challenges we face, are opportunities to be explored. We are greater than the problems facing us. And together, we will overcome. And to everyone who believe in this great nation of ours and supports this administration to do its best to make Nigeria better, I salute you all. Those faceless voices are just scared of who we are and the greatness embodied in us. God bless Nigeria. Sai Buhari. Happy Independence Day! EGIFT |

https://innosonivm.com/uploadfile/20131021003624371.jpg Good one. Ben will do more DOING than wagging his tongue on Twitter. |
OP you are trying very hard to suppress the facts. - Would Jonathan have been able to take drastic steps to stop his PDP crew from further looting? - Jonathan was already borrowing to pay salary when oil was selling than it is now, how would that not continue? - What makes you think that Jonathan could have been able to challenge the PDP cabals? Something he could not even attempt in 6yrs. Voting out Jonathan was the best thing that ever happened to Nigeria in decades. We will judge President Buhari at the end of his tenure too. For now Buhari has the unwavering support of all well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians. Forget all those miscreants wailing. Their yam-eating scheme is being busted daily, so wailing is understandable. |
