Politics › Re: Jonathan Should Not Be Allowed To Escape Presidential Debates This Time Around. by egift(m): 4:26am On Dec 07, 2014
In 2011 when the Debate Organizer refused to give Jonathan the questions before the Debate - Here was what happened:

He ran away from presidential debate for not getting EXPO (the questions before the Debate)
https://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/51834000/jpg/_51834439_011562166-1.jpg

Afterwards had a shameless counter debate with dbanj (who was not contesting in the election)
https://africamusiclaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/DBanj-and-President-Goodluck-Jonathan.jpg

What he did with Dbanj was a big disgrace, so he staged and debated himself ALONE on National TV

I have already closed the case in another thread
I like the logic in your comment, but you will agree that none of the details or reports has mentioned "Ukrainians" as being the ones transporting the Arms.

This topic like others is for the Government to provide details and truthful ones regarding the issue on ground. No amount of insults will stop Nigerians from demanding a investigations and better explanation on this. So many things have been swept under the carpet - this will not be one.

Inspite of your furious anti Jonathan rants on these pages, I still used to credit you with more sense than this. This putrid post of yours up there is by far the dumbest post I have read here in recent times. You need to take a chill pill. Jonathan isn't dying anytime soon.
So citizens of Nigeria seeing through the lies of Jonathan's administration and asking for accountability, is now a bad move? "Oya clap for ya self".

Reyginus:
The analyses appear too weak to me. That is if it is even worthy to be regarded as one.

Let me understand you better, egift. Let's begin from your first assertion.

Why do you think it is a Federal Government Purchase?
Here are my reasons:
1. In two occasions, FG tried buying arms from a South African firm and failed. In fact we hear that the $15m is still in SA.
2. US are having issues with Nigeria for refusing to sell.
3. Israel, UK, Germany and other are not selling Arms to US.
4. We are only left with China and Russia (these two countries can sell to us without minding what US has to say).
5. Despite being our neighbours, Chad have not been on our best side on the problem of Boko Haram.

Therefore, buying arms from Russia, slamming Chad (or getting them to take the fall), replenishing our Armoury - All in one swoop may have all been articulated plan that may have been aimed to boost Mr. Presidents weak posture to the War on Terror.

Most times I laugh at some of the kiddies strategies of the current administration. Today we heard that the FG has impounded a Russian plane loaded with military hardware heading to Chad. This administration is funny at best.

Here are my take on this new game:
- The hardware is a Federal Government of Nigeria's arms purchase.
- It is a joint operation of Nigeria, Chad and Russians.
- Playing the Act of Impounding the plane and confiscating the Arms, makes Nigeria appear able to confront Russia and clampdown on Chad.
- At the same time deliver to Nigeria the goods we have already paid for.
- It is also good to know the entire delivery could have been concluded without anyone knowing, but Jonathan will not pass any opportunity to give his low rating some push.
- Also if the publicity stunt backfires, they will let the plane fly (with or without the arms), while waiting for another scheme to be planned.

In all, we all want Jonathan to take charge and stop these wanton killings of innocent Nigerians and stop playing politics with the lives of Nigerians.

God help Nigeria to overcome all her challenges.
Politics › Re: Atiku Leads APC Poll With Wide Margin - Dailypost Poll by egift(m): 4:39pm On Dec 06, 2014

Atiku leads APC poll with wide margin
DAILYPOST Poll: Buhari demystified as Atiku floors ‘the People’s General’ By Sylvester Ugwuanyi on December 5, 2014 If DAILY POST readers were to be delegates that will populate the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC slated for December 10 and 11, 2014, former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar, will be handed the presidential ticket of the party on a platter. This is as they have voted overwhelmingly in an online poll conducted by this newspaper to show their support for the presidential aspiration of Atiku under the platform of APC. However, the supposed victory of the former Vice-President at the poll was contradicted by an inherent corroborative measure which comes with the DAILY POST poll. This refers to the alternative means of voting that allows respondents to also vote through their comments in a bid to produce a foolproof result. In this regard, Buhari routed Atiku as well as the other aspirants by attracting endorsements from an outstanding majority of all who made valid comments. The former Head of State’s impressive showing in this part of the poll confirms the generally-held belief that he enjoys a cult followership. For his supporters went beyond merely voting in support of him into sealing it with their comments. What informed the question for this poll? APC presidential aspirants have been traversing virtually all parts of the country wooing the party’s delegates for votes. At every turn, they are seen and heard telling all who cared to listen how they are the most qualified for the job, albeit, admitting that every one of them is better than the presumed candidate of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan. Other APC stalwarts have also refused to be silent on this. Some of them even go as far as predicting that another four years of President Jonathan in office will be disastrous for the nation. This postulations coupled with the fact that the epic APC primaries is already lurking led DAILY POST to ask its readers who they think is the best aspirant APC should present in next year’s presidential election as its candidate. The options were as follow: Sam Nda-Isaiah, Mohammadu Buhari, Rochas Okorocha, Atiku Abubarkar and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. How they fared: This particular poll which came on stream on Monday, December 1 was closed by 12 pm (local time) on Friday, December 5, 2014. Between the time frame, there were a total of 5,367 clicks on the options that answer the questions asked. Out of these clicks, 3,013 (56.14 per cent) were in favour of Atiku Abubarkar; 1,900 (35. 04 per cent) went for Mohammadu Buhari; 232 (4.32 per cent) favoured Rochas Okorocha; 147 (2.74 per cent) were recorded to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso while Sam Nda-Isaiah brought up the rare with 75 votes constituting 1.04 per cent. For the comments generated by the poll, a total of 438 raked in. They were collated from the poll’s portal which had 12, DAILY POST website had 101 and the newspaper’s Facebook page where 325 respondents posted their comments as at when the poll was closed. The gross figure of 438 ultimately thinned to 372 valid comments when scrutinized. From these reliable comments, 234 constituting 62.90 per cent clamoured for Buhari to be given the APC presidential ticket, 35 others (9.41 per cent) rooted for Atiku. Those who sought for it to be given to Rochas were 30 (8.06 per cent), Kwankwaso’s supporters on this numbered 15 (4.03 per cent) while seven people consisting 1.88 per cent would rather want Nda-Isaiah to get the ticket. Meanwhile, some respondents took advantage of the freedom afforded them by the comment box to unequivocally state that they do not see any good presidential material from the lot. Those with this conviction, whose position got accommodated in the survey were 50 in number and they constituted 13.44 per cent of valid respondents. Some cogent reactions worthy of note: Out of the total 438 comments generated, there were vital postulations made by some readers which cannot be overlooked. There were some others who arrogated unto themselves the status of king makers as they instructed APC and party faithful who should be paired with their preferred presidential aspirants. These comments are hereby presented below, just the way the bloggers wrote them. This newspaper intentionally refused to edit the comments in anyway whatsoever just for you to relish the raw passion of the writers… Abucheadams Atiku’s vision and dedication distinguish him from the other aspirants; he has worked very hard to prove he understands the way forward for this country. He is the best candidate to fly the presidential flag of the APC. #ANigeriaForAll I think Atiku is the best man due to the fact he is the most experienced and has more knowledge in workings of democracy@the highest levels having held the number 2 post for 8 years. Babajide Balogun Atiku is the only candidate who has what it takes to defeat PDP. GMB has made certain religious and ethnic inflammatory statements in the past that will make majority of Nigerians not comfortable with him during the general elections. He is also not entirely free of corruption.

It means Jonathan and his crew steal daily, to the extent he had to make it official. It was also intended to weaken those Nigerians that are patriotic in their workplace (many of whom are being persecuted and humiliated). Jonathan wanted them to lower their guard and understand that he support all the corrupt practices.

That statement is also the reason why after 6yrs in Power, President Jonathan is yet to prosecute anyone who is stealing from Nigeria.

Aside from the trouble alleged by Atiku and his cohorts when they were in the PDP, which made some of them, including those in various positions of the country left and that was settled within the people that decided to stay with the party Since then there is no other division in that party. The only division now is the one Tambuwal is deliberately tryin to create.
Exactly that same crisis. Even Bamanga Turkur that lost his PDP Chairmanship position is today in court fighting to be reinstated. The Governors that left has not returned. In Tambuwal's Sokoto, PDP is still in crisis with a very big division - So where is the evidence that the Crisis was resolved?
