Seun: Dude, I had to leave to do some weekend chores. You have broken the rules again by creating another account. You ought to be made to send another apology but in the spirit of forgiveness I'll overlook this. Pls start obeying the rules so that you will not be banned again. I beg you.
Oga Admin, I take it he is now free from Nairaland's Alcatraz. Ka Chukwu mezie okwu - To God be the glory and thank you for taking out time to clean up the house. Signs of good things ahead.

Everyone you are invited to help Nigeria clean up Aso Rock after Jonathan has parked his luggage to Bayelsa next year grin

baccaShadow: I got your ban on bacca2 and your followup message. I laughed at it really but hey...no offence.
I apologise for false accusation made to you but you need to be more strategic in your approach. I so much believe on nairaland forum and I want to see it grow. Anyway, I will always criticise when necessary and refrain from unfounded allegation.
In the spirit of brotherhood, kindly unban barcanista.

Signed
Barcanista

The above was the message I sent to Seun after he banned bacca2 for 10years-with a message that I "apologise" to him for barcanista to be unbanned. That message was sent almost 45minutes ago and yet barcanista remain banned.
I further sent him direct mail via bacca2 and Barcanista but no action.
Seun, I was told that you really mean the peace move but why is barcanista still banned despite doing what you asked me to do in order to give peace a chance?
I want to believe you "haven't seen" the 3 messages I sent to you via...your email, PM(bacca2) and another PM(barcanista).

1. Give it a little time. He has his hand full. He will attend to it.
2. Also I hope you know that it is in other if he bans the ID - baccaShadow - when he unban barcanista?
3. Please Oga Seun in the spirit of this dialogue and your current Peace initiative, I request you unban barcanista.

My expectation is that after all this, Nairaland will come off better, stronger and with far more dedicated members.

God bless Nairaland/Nigeria!

MissMeiya: Why do Nigerians need to clap for any little thing? It's embarrassing.

I thought the title said "condemnation".
You are. But unfortunately we live in a society filled with negligence, mediocrity and massive corruption - So when we see few people who took their service to the Nation seriously and do what is expected of them, we tend to appreciate them for doing what is expected of them.

The success in containing EVD goes beyond the effort of any single individual govt or institution.Let us avoid pettiness pls.
My appreciation goes to him and everyone that did all the could to take care of this outbreak. Also my heartfelt sympathy to all the health works who suffered or even died in their service to the Homeland. May God reward them and their loved ones.

Jonathan is going home in 2015. That is not a topic for debates.

bacca2: Seun Barcanista was banned because You and your team removed a thread on PDP's TAN Chieftain alleged Subsidy fraud, he opened a thread to ask WHY the closure, your supermod Mukina2 Apologised and restored the Thread. You seun banned me afterwards. I maintained and still maintain that it was a Ridiculous ban, you went ahead and ban barcanista handle for 1month. You also banned whatlyf for 10years Seun.
I expected you to apologise but you want it the other way round. Forget about any apology because you won't get. I lost confidence in the neutrality of Nairaland management long ago but I kept going.

@arewanationz you are so correct my friend
Is it possible, since there are Apologies going round, for you to also offer one so that we can cleanup this slate together and get everything back in order.

My comment is based on the fact that Seun is open to discussion on this matter to rectify the wrongs of the past.

Please if it will be possible, I will like it.

Let them tell us all they know, what are they waiting for?
So why then are your suppressing the call for investigation of all those accused? Are you afraid they all may be found guilty? Or you are just marking time for Ihejirika to Buy himself Immunity as Governor of Abia State?

That was what happened. That was why I started "For the sake of this thread". I did not want to inform him that the post was actually a reply to an insult he directed to her. And even if you want to respond in kind, the member should quote and make his own comment instead or rewriting the original post. Just make your post separate.

egopersonified: Op, sometimes a post is so long and I would want to quote a particular part and comment on it, so your rule would make it wrong for me to delete other parts of the post that I am not interested in. And you just did what you are complaining about on someone's post just now by highlighting some words. Everything has its advan and disadv, as long as the advan outweighs the disadv, then its okay to leave out this rule 22. Like someone said, your original post is always there, even in a court of law, I dont think anyone can hold it against you.
At bold, please read what I wrote:

egift: While you can quote in part(s), highlight portions of the quote for emphasis, it should become a very big offense to be seen rewriting anyone's post on Nairaland.

sexkilzaphull: Leave your servant alone so the master (electorates) who 'voted' for him become the slaves? Most of you people are still backward, uncivilized, uneducated and downright clannish! Well, if you want Nigerians to leave him alone, let him resign and become a private citizen or your traditional ruler. In our own country, we MUST and WILL make our "leaders" accountable to the maximum extent possible!
God bless you. Nigerians have the opportunity to vote out failure in 2015. Supporting Jonathan and other politicians looting the national treasury is not a reward to the Niger Delta Region. With focused State Governors, South-South can ensure the development of their region under any President.

If Jonathan was a good leader, it would have been a different case. What did he achieve for the Region that is in any way unique as a man who understands the plight of his people? Nothing.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria will overcome the failure of an administration.

Yes. The minister has managed the crisis well and with maturity/professionally. Whenever things are done in Nigeria without throwing ethic, regional and religious sentiments into it, we always come off brilliant.

Well done Onyebuchi Chukwu and everyone that did what is expected of them. God bless you all.

How I wish Boko Haram is treated as a criminal/terrorist crises without using it for 2015 reelection, demanding for loan, inflating security budget, shielding sponsors for political support, drowning Nigerians in fear, etc.

Leetunechi: Dude

your original post is still there.no course for alarm
No body has the right to quote you and rewrite it. They are attributing to you what you did not say. It is not just a copyright infringement, it is misrepresentation, making you liable to their comments, and quoting you out of context - which are all criminal offenses. If you have response to any post, just quote it and make your comment. Don't rewrite it to change what they said.

Scroll to the end of this page and read the very last text there. Disclaimer: Every Nairaland member is solely responsible for anything that he/she posts or uploads on Nairaland.

Omexonomy: If so then how ar we to return the insult from shildren of collective anger those APC who love to throw tantrums at every opportunity.
E.g
For the sake of this thread, let me explain:
When someone insult, you can report to the Mod. If you wish to go into mud slugging and commit the same offense you condemn the person for, you have to quote the person and post your own insult different (outside the quoted text). You have know right whatsoever to rewrite the person's content. (Even in a case of typographical error, like in your text in bold).

Ngwakwe: There are question begging for your contribution and opinion on the thread below

www.nairaland.com/1901023/terrorism-16-questions-apc-chieftains#26262651

Contrary to your obsessions, the same man in the picture has a history with the opposition.

The worst of the matter I guess was his withdrawal of his membership from APC on his own accord.

The only moral ground you would have operated does not exist seeing that it wasn't APC that sack ex-Governor
Sheriff rather the other way round hence your effort to critique him is null and void.
You can have your head in the sand for as long as you can. My position has remained firm on the issue of Boko Haram, that: Jonathan should in all urgency and sincerity, Investigate all cases and allegations of links to Boko Haram, Arrest everyone found to have a case to answer, and Prosecute them in Courts of competent jurisdiction and seek the highest punishment under the law. And for the last 5years, my position has never changed.

But you Ngwakwe and other Jonathains have been wimping various ethic sentiments, bigotry and insulting/blaming anyone found opposing Jonathan's quest to perpetuate his failures beyond 2015. (Funny how this tag has moved from IBB - Dokpesi - Chiroma - Atiku - Buhari - Sanusi - Ngige - Tinubu - Kwankwoso - Shitima - Nyako - etc). Now your quest is to shield Ihejirika And Ali Modu Sheriff.

Make una fear God ooo!

My fellow young men, Go make yourself money - you can get a wife with any "accessories" you want - looks, height, shape, complexion, shape of head, legs, arms, love, loyal, respects, etc.

Whatever else you want her to do, she will be doing it as if her breath depends on it without you even stressing or asking.

Money is good. Don't waste your school fees and pocket money on Girlfriends that will abandon you anytime a good offer comes up.

Attn: Seun, Afam4eva, Ngwakwe, OAM4J, Ikenna351

Thank you all for the efforts to keep Nairaland on a path of decency and growth. As members, we will keep doing whatever we can to keep making useful suggestions, contributions and ideas to keep Nairaland at the top.

I wish to make a suggestion on the Nairaland Rule:

Rule 22: Don't edit anyone's post when you quote it. Penalty, 30 Days Ban

Explanation:
It is becoming common for some members who don't like you for whatever the reason, to quote your post, rewrite it entirely or in part to completely mean something else, and then write "FIXED".

This goes against all sensibility. Members have the right to make their opinion within the rules of the forum. Remember also "Every Nairaland member is solely responsible for anything that he/she posts or uploads on Nairaland".

It is therefore wrong for anyone to rewrite our comments in anyway. Even in a case of typographical or grammatical error! If you disagree with the member or wish to correct them, quote the post and write your own comment outside the quote.

While you can quote in part(s), highlight portions of the quote for emphasis, it should become a very big offense to be seen rewriting anyone's post on Nairaland.

Regards,
EGIFT

Let us not engage in selective appreciation of corruption whether it is by Tinubu, IBB, Jonathan or Patience Jonathan.
