The Republican Presidential Candidate of the United States of America, USA, Donald Trump, has threatened to evacuate Nigerians from the country once he becomes President. The American Billionaire, who tagged Nigeria as a corrupt Nation, issued the threat on Sunday during a rally held at Wichita, Kansas, claiming that: “Nigerians and Mexicans have taken all the jobs meant for honest hard working Americans.” Trump noted this as the major reason many Nigerians leave for America. “Why can’t they stay in their own country? Why? I’ll tell you why. Because they are corrupt. “Their Governments are so corrupt. They rob the people blind and bring it all here to spend and their people run away and come down here and take our jobs. “We need to get the Africans out. Not the blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians. They’re everywhere. “We can’t have that! If I become president, we’ll send them all home. We’ll build a wall at the Atlantic Shore. “Then maybe, we’ll re-colonise Africans because obviously they did not learn a damn thing from the British. “I went for a rally in Alaska and met just one African in the entire state. Where was he from? Nigeria! He’s in Alaska taking our jobs. They’re in Houston taking our jobs,” the Presidential Front-runner said. The Nigerian Government has, however, not responded to the threat yet. Source: http://dailypost.ng/2016/01/18/presidential-candidate-donald-trump-to-send-corrupt-nigerians-away-from-us/

Moral Lesson: 1. Everyone can't work in an office. 2. If you feel you are on top of the ladder, take note that you need people to keep the ladder balanced on the ground. 3. Remember, there is dignity in labour. 4. We should learn to appreciate people when they shun crime and engage in legitimate means of livelihood. |
If we really take out time to examine the usefulness of some certain professionals we usually disrespect or address by undignifying names, you would agree with me that it's high time we change our mentality and appreciate people who shun crime and engage in legitimate means of livelihood. Below are some of them. 1. Auto Mechanics- I have heard people use the phrase, "a common road side mechanic". You tend to realise how useful these guys are when your car suddenly breaks down on the road on a sunday morning. 2. Cobblers- You realise how important they are when you suddenly discover the shoe that perfectly fits an attire you've prepared to wear to an appointment needs some amendments...and you're already running late. 3. Commercial Motor cycle riders (otherwise knwn as okada riders)- imagine something urgently comes up and you need to be somewhere else ASAP and theres is terrible traffic and it suddenly appears like all motor cycle riders in the town have gone on leave! 4. Bus/Taxi drivers- I remember a day i was rushing to meet up an appointment and it appeared all the buses/taxis passing by were either filled up or were not going my way...and no money for car drop! 5. Household Staffs- this is very common with the so called rich men. They disrespect their staffs as if the staffs do not work for the money they are being paid. Learn to respect people who work for you, because you can't do the jobs yourself, if you could, you wouldn't hired them in the first place. We shouldn't treat people like rags or as if they are less human simply because we pay them salaries/wages. Feel free to add your; let's make this world a better place. Thanks! |
