Please I have a question. Need help.

After a visa refusal in October. I reached out to my college for the next available intake but my program was not available till 2025.
I choose another programme to be able to defer for the next session I want.
What’s the best explanation to give the visa officer to avoid red flags.

Please help.

It's been a while. Don't mind my errors in this story just in the spirit of giving back.
Did a drop box last month for me and hubby and hubby was given his visa but I was called for an interview.
Got my visa in 2015 for childbirth. Used it for childbirth in 2015 and vacation in 2016.
Outline of visa interview in Abuja .
Me: good day
Vo: good day. Please hand over ur passport
Me: I pass my passport to her
Bo: looks into her computer for a while and asks can she see my receipts for childbirth in 2015.
Me: I give her all reciepts, zero balance and my itemized bill breakdown ( which was given to me with zero balance in the hospital)
Vo: she looks through all the reciepts and pauses while looking at the itemized bill break down.
Says she can see my bills was adjusted. Saw somewhere in the itemized bill where "adj" was written and said it meant adjusted bill.
Me: told her I was self pay , payed all my bills for self pay and had no adjustments.
Vo: passes the paper to me to see the adj and explain it to her
Me: looks through, sees the adj somewhere in front of the paper with $1250 but at the back of the paper where the bill total was written had adj written as $0.00 . Showed her the $0.00 but she said she isn't interested in that one behind but the one in front
Me: ma, I paid all my bills as given to me by the hospital.
Vo: did u receive any form of financial help
Me: No I didn't . Showed her all my reciepts which was the total of what I had on the breakdown of the itemized bill and my zero balance reciept .
Vo: says that even if I get government funding I would still have a zero balance reciept so that dat didn't matter to her.
Types for a very long while in her computer and says to me sorry you do not qualify for a visa and hand me a yellow paper .
Me: sorry please ma, can I ask a question
Vo: yes u can go ahead
Me: Since am sure I paid all my bills and didn't get any financial aid from anyone or any government body. What is the reason for my denial and what should I do.
Vo: sorry ma. I wish u better luck next time.

Na so my people I carry my kaya Waka leave embassy gloomy. This happened last month. So I reapplied again and this time I went to Lagos. Got my visa approved yesterday. Will give breakdown of that one later.
Lesson of story: Don't show these people any thing u don't know what is written on it Biko to avoid do you know me.

pls can anyone assist on experience at POE in Atlanta is for pregnant women? if I have my cash, receipts from my hospital in Houston, scan results is it ok? am so anxious.

My poe was Atlanta. Just make sure u state u came in to give birth. Had pple sent back cos they lied but mine was stress-free cos I told them my purpose of visit was childbirth. Asked why I choose USA and I said cos of.better health car, asked how much cash I had too.While he was still asking questions another immigration officer came to him to whisper I was pregnant to him and he told him he knew cos I already told him. Just say the truth and you are good to go.

Used Vaughan hospital in alabama. Was a very great experience.

That letter is from the doctors office. I think you should also g et an appointment Wi th the hospital also( Vaughan hospital selma) Used him for the delivery of My son. He is a great obstetrician.

When i returned to nigeria from usa with my baby. I was only asked for his nigerian passport At the airport.

Had a friend leave usa with her baby with only a nigerian passport because she didn't want to exceed her stamped in date. She has scheduled an appointment with American embassy in nigeria for her baby's American passport. Will give u feed back of the outcome afterwards.

4: nefertitiram: the lady who answers everyone(advice and quarrel alike) .. For every quarrel in this forum she contributes. Doubt if na pregnancy hormones.

Please I need an urgent reply. Can a baby born in the USA travel back to nigeria with only a nigerian passport and get the American passport in Nigeria.

Please don't start a scare here. 'Experienced' doctors prescribe LOW DOSE aspirin for their hypertensive or high risk pre eclampsia patients, biko! Next thing, high risk mamas will draw conclusion from your advice.

Thanks to everyone on this post. Wish I could put a face to all u lovelies. Had my visa interview in abuja last week, so tired to type but that will be selfish. Since I got info that helped me from this site. The little I can do is give back.
Went with hubby. Our appointment was for 8: 30 am. Did the finger scanning and waited patiently for our turn. When filing the Ds form I indicated my husband was the sponsor but later discovered he didn't have much money in his personal account so we had to use his bussiness account for the interview. So in our burden of proof had to include
1. Bussiness statement account.
2. Tax payments for 2013 and 2014
3. Letter from bank stating he operates the account and he is the director of the bussiness and has enough money to fund his trip for childbirth in usa.
4. Letter from company stating he is the director and will be sponsored on the trip abroad for birthing
5. CAC ( particular showing owners of the bussiness).
6. Bussiness card( complimentary card)
7. Personal statement of account just in case he is asked.
8. Prayers
The interview went like this. Questions not in particular order as asked.
Vo: good morning.
Hubby and me; Good morning how are you.
Vo: fine. Please can I have your forms and Ur confirmation page.
Hubby and me: hands over passport and printed confirmation page to her.
Vo: types on computer for some long minutes then asks where I want to go in the us
Me: Montgomery alabama.
Vo: why
Me: want to have my baby.
Vo: smiles and says congrats. Asks if its single or twins.
Me: single.
Vi: is it complicated.
Me: no
Vo: have you contacted any hospital.
Me: yes. Hands over hospital correspondence, doctors correspondence, and hospital letter head stating cost of treatment.
Vo; how did you find the hospital.
Me: did a research on line and they had great reviews and their budget was within my budget range.
Vo: reads through the letters and types on her computer.
Asks if I have any relative in alabama.
Me: no.
Vo: where do intend to stay.
Me: extended stay hotels I booked online. Hands over my colorful printed extended stay reservation.
Vo: what do u do
Me: tells Vo what I do.
Vo: asks hubby what do you do.
Hubby: bussiness man.
Vo; what kind of bussiness
Hubby; tells Vo
Vo: please can I have your statement of account.
Hubby.hands over bussiness statement, lntroduction letter from bank, introduction letter from company, tax receipts, CAC.
Vo: reads only the introduction letter from the bank. Didn't look at the statement.
Vo: asks if I have any letter from my nigeria obstetrician
Me: no. I have just my early scan.
Vo: don't worry.
Types for about few secs and said we should pick up my visa on wednesday and returns all our documents to us.

Read thru all pages but didn't bother taking down notes on hospitals in Philadelphia cos I already had plans on which hospital I was going to use. Now my hubby wants me to go stay in Philadelphia with a relative. Please can someone help me with hospitals there with minimal costs. Thanks
