Awwwww. Let me tell you how non-desperate I am: I already have my 2 Text messages seating executive in one of my phones. I can afford to stay ahome for 4.5 more years and I'd still not have exceeded NNPCs age limit. I have an AC with NLNG coming up sometime after the elections. On the 12th of February, my friends had to beg me to attend an interview with a company that attached 'Petroleum' to their nomenclature. So prattle on and humor yourself and a few other "false-hope seekers".

Can I indulge you on my definition of a desperado? Someone who is 31, throwing tantrums like he is 14, asking if Business Admin candidates have received Texts, When that fails (because many did receive) he changes his askometer to 'those from Kogi' and later to those who wrote in Port-Harcourt as he keeps running from Pillar to Post looking for a new criteria to keep his false dreams alive.

I wish I could console you but I can't. This is the real world. Alice in wonderland started in Walt Disney's mind and ended on TV. If you understood my last statement, you'd have received an sms on the 18th of February.

And that is what I call maturity, which is way beyond your reach bro. But honestly I expected you to tell me you work for NLGN and not you have their AC to write after elections. That you work for a company with petroleum attached to its nomenclature, and not you were begged to attend its interview. You see, a man of substance does not wear a gold clothe but when you move close to him you will see that he is made up of gold. We have silent but great achievers in this forum who you would envy when you meet them in person. Some are here for job security, some to compare job prospects, and others for different reasons and not mouthing they are in different recruitment exercises.
To gullibly fell for and swallowed someone's nairaland's registered age, which the REAL will ever be a mystery to you, as REAL AGE is like deceiving yourself that you were christined Eruditor(a mere pseudo-name), huh? Now who is a fool? Logic didn't tell you that since Eruditor is NOT your real name, 31 years may not be my real age. I think you should know better. Appearance is not always the reality. Things are not always what they seem like so STOP over blowing your trumpet on a public forum so that your case will not like....? Concentrate on your interview while you expect the next SURPRISE(S) from PCL/NNPC, and remember the race is not to the swift but who God has favoured. I am sure you didnt expect that by now you would still be waiting for interview invite when you got the first sms, huh? That is the irony of life you failed to realise mybro. So STOP PRE-EMPTING & HOLDING BRIEF for them while we all wait patiently for the next big deal(+ve/-ve). I wish you and every other persons goodluck.

3 things:

1. I have never used 100% anywhere. But 99.9% sure? Count me in.
2. I am devoted to logic not emotions so chances are that I'd be more right than you.
3. Logic says for the 'more-texts' chants to have some credit, PCL should have sent the adjoining text messages to everyone since 'everyone' should have been waiting for the interview. But sadly for you and a few other emotional heads PCL sent the texts to those who ought to have received the first text.
How is your emotional outburst working out now?

On a lighter note, you can keep your 3kobo. We don't want to leave you broke.

1. Your 99.9% assurance of no more texts shows there is a chance of more texts coming, which means that you are not totally sure more tests won't still be sent. You still believe there is a possibility.
2. Of course you were RIGHT with your logic when you declared that people would get invites on 21 of last month when more texts were not sent before that date. And when it was shifted to 24 your so called logic didn't tell us why it was shifted. Also on 24 when everybody was in darkness why the invites didn't land, your logic didn't tell us why it didn't land because your logic was in DARKNESS too.
3. Your logic forgot to consider the fact that the adjoining messages could have been sent to those who received the first texts to inform them of their(PCL) inability to continue since they(those that have already received the sms) have been informed when to expect the interview invites before NNPC asked them to halt the sms. Did it?
And how is your myopic logic making you to work in NNPC now?

On a serious note, the 3 kobo is meant for you to buy a chill pill to help your desperation to get this job. This desperation is noticeable in the way you frequent this forum and your selfish attitude masquerading as your illogical logic.

I believe is 50/50 chance. It could be either way. But your continuous insistence on 'no more sms' shows you are 100% sure but I tell you, you are as ignorant as every other persons here as far as this recruitment exercise is concerned. STOP HOLDING BRIEF for PCL and NNPC and lie low while you prepare for your interview. I pray your case will not be like 'someone' who gave us all the questions offhand and their answers but today peeps to see what is happening in the house. I too sabi no too good! My 3 kobo.

My thoughts exactly. PCL wouldn't have started sending out SMS without the consent of NNPC. So saying "NNPC asked them to stop" doesn't sound so true. It could be that NNPC ain't ready for interviews yet and so haven't given the dates for that... So PCL can't go further.

....And for them to state in the sms and on their facebook page that sms would be sent in batches up till so& so date, which they sent once and stopped, and also to send email at so&so date, which they didn't send up till now shows that something may have cropped up which necessitated the stoppage and postponement. if NNPC wasn't ready for the interviews like you insinuated above, then why did PCL include date to expect interview invites in the first place? Let's watch as things pan out and stop insinuations, permutations and brief holding for both NNPC and PCL please.

This is highly unlikely because Philips Consulting could not have sent the initial texts without the consent or instruction of their client- NNPC. Even in such an event, Philips consulting were never the one's to organise the interviews, so the only other texts or emails they would owe anyone is the schedule for the interviews. Period.

I am not a harbinger of bad news but we need to be able to spot the difference between a fact and a diplomatic response issued to assuage a hurting mind.

My 2 cents, but there's plenty where it came from.

...And if more texts are later sent, what do we tag you?

I called the Philips Recruitment to ask why I've not received my sms. The guy on the phone said they were instructed by nnpc to stop sending the sms till further notice. I guess till after the elections. So if u are yet to get ur sms, don't lose hope, u still have a chance when they resume sending of sms, if u did well in the exam, u'll get urs. The Philips guy also told me that unsuccessful ones will also receive an sms stating their failure status.

I just confirmed that too. After the number above is connected you can dial 2073 immediately, your call will be forwarded to one of the pcl call centre agents.

There are slight differences between cover letter and application letter. Application letter contains your address and addressee's, salutation, position applied for, the body of the letter, conclusion and your signature. It always accompanies hard copy cv. Cover letter neither requires your address nor addressee's but the salutation, position applied for, the body of the letter, conclusion and your signature. It is written in the body of the email while the cv is attached. Cover letter is used for online application purpose only. Hope this helps.

I spoke with PCL yesterday..I asked them if the quality of life survey is part of the NNPC stuff but the lady said NO.That its a different thing PCL is doing.She told me that they will be sending texts to succesful candidates within the next two weeks and that they will also send texts to unsuccesful ones after this two weeks.So if u have not goten a text that u were unsuccesful then there is still hope 4 us.I got the Survey mail bt hav not goten the SMS bt i trust God that it will surely come in Jesus Name.If u studied Bus Admin and wrote in Enugu lets rub minds 2geda.Thank God 4 d ones that have got their SMS.Wish all of us goodluck

To me, it has been dramatic.
You can recall that long after we applied for this job in September 2012, in November 2013, sms and/or mail was sent to the applicants who had incomplete credentials to upload their credentials. The email directing applicants to upload their credentials came directly from NNPC Recruitment department using:recruitment@nnpcgroup.com.

Waiting to hear the outcome of the credentials upload done in November 2013,
Philips consulting limited in December 2014 came up with an online application form/assessment telling EH applicants it was a continuation of the 2012 recruitment exercise by NNPC. Note that we all filled this online application form in September, 2012.

After the online assessment, on the 18th of February, Phillips Consulting posted on her website that successful applicants would start receiving sms from 18th to 21st February, and email on the 24th inviting them for oral interview.

On the 18th of February sms were sent out.
From 19th till now no sms received.
Not only that, the post on PCL website informing applicants on the communication procedure removed. Applicants who called PCL on phone regarding the sending of sms/mail invite got an answer that sms/mail invite would be sent within 2weeks,which was different from what was posted on her website before.

My dear fellow EH applicants, what an inconsistency?
What is happening?
You may know better.

However,
it could be that NNPC had concluded on this exercise,
and PCL is being used as if equal opportunity is given to all applicants,
that could be the reason for sending the sms to the few as those who passed the online assessment.

My brother, just my thought exactly. We have been so tossed around that I don't even know what to believe anymore. It was 18-21 to 24, now it is within 2 weeks. They should come out and tell us if it is over, or is there anything fishy they are hiding? I taya o!

Any kogite received yet? I heard only 1,600+ were invited for this interview. Please how true? Can someone confirm or affirm this.

I once requested for people to send me study materials for this NNPC test and no one even attempt to do me that favor and that was on this thread. Well, I want to do some people favor here tonight. Just five email addresses will do. I will send nnpc test questions conducted 3 years to those addresses. This is not GMAT or KMAT or whatever MAT. This is real thing just as it was conducted that very year. First five addresses will get it. 120 questions. Hurry Now!

Don't mind NNPC & PCL. They are ill prepared for this test. Have you asked yourself why things are not yet organised 2 days before the test. They keep changing venues, sending sms of test locations without venues and no hard copy yet. This is nothing but a political gathering of nigerian youths. The aim of this test is to get a support base for the president come 2015 election. They did the same thing in 2011 and went into the tin air only to come back months after the general elections. This is not to say it will not be concluded, it will but only God knows when. In 2011, we got our hard copy in Ph from DHL, 3 days after the email notification. Over a week of test notification through sms and two days to the test, we are yet to get the hard copy. Nigeria I hail thee!!!

I heard similar thing about list compilation but not too sure of its authenticity sha. My questions are, is the person requesting for money a staff of NNPC? is he very highly placed? Does your friend know him very well? Has he done similar favour for someone before? If yes he can give it a shot, but if NO, pls tell him somebody needs the money here for something important!
