Kaduna train attack: 'Student, INEC official' among abductees as kidnappers release video
Passengers abducted during the recent attack on a train in Kaduna have appealed to the government to come to their rescue.

After the attack which occurred on March 28, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) had confirmed eight deaths, while 22 persons were declared "still missing" as of April 3.

On April 6, Alwan Hassan, acting managing director/chief executive officer of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) one of those - declared missing by his relatives · - was released, and his abductors had listed the Ramadan season and old age as reasons he was freed.
In a video obtained by HumAngle on Sunday, some of the victims are seen seated on the floor and surrounded by armed persons in what looks like a large forest area.

The BOA MD is also seen in the video, which has more than 20 persons seated on the bare floor.

One of the victims who spoke, but didn't give her name, said she is a staff member of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kaduna state.
"In my own case, I am a staff of INEC in Kaduna state. I am pleading with the government to please come to our rescue," she said.

Joy, another abductee who identified herself as a student of Kaduna State University, asked the government to ensure they are rescued safely.

"I'm speaking on behalf of the students. Government should please hear our cry and come to our aid," Joy said.

A woman identified as Gladys, who said she was an "ex-staff of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria", said government should listen to concerns raised by citizens.

"What happened on Monday was needless
if the government would have a listening ear and accede to what the populace are talking about," Gladys said.

A male victim, identified as Adedeji, said he was on his way to Kaduna for eye treatment when the attack occurred.

UNICEF Nigeria Distances Self From Fundraiser By Nkechi Blessing’s Ex, Falegan

... Family Alleges South-East Govs Failed To Share Demands With FG

The family of the Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, has accused South-East governors of failing to present the eight-point demands of their son from their 2017 meeting to the Federal Government.

Spokesman for the family, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, made this claim in Umuahia on Wednesday.

He went on to reveal the demands which were made when Kanu met with South-East Governors and Ohanaeze Ndigbo leaders in Enugu shortly before the September 2017 military raid on his Umuahia family home, reports Vanguard.

The demands include:

1. Making Enugu International airport a grade one airport so that passengers can fly in without stopovers in Lagos or Abuja.

2. Dredging of River Niger.

Train Attack: Body Of Late Dr Chinelo Megafu Brought To Lagos

The body of one of the victims of the terror attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train, Dr Chinelo Megafu, is en route Lagos.

A family member, who shared these photos with us said, “Final journey to Lagos for our daughter, Dr. Chinelo Megafu aboard Arik Air. 07 /04/22.”

Megafu was a Delta Surgeon, who graduated from the University Of Port Harcourt.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has cleared the air about the rumour That his church members has got mandate to support one candidate or political party.

The 80-year-old preacher said this at a sermon during thy first Sunday of the month service which they streamed live on Youtube on April 3, 2022..

Pastor Adeboye cleared the issue saying that he's not a politician and he's not going to ever be. He said

JUST IN: IPOB Cancels ‘Sit At Home’ In South-East

The Indigenous People of Biafra has ended its sit-at-home directive in South-East and embraced peace negotiations being organised by Anambra state.

IPOB on Saturday in Awka yielded to the appeal by the Anambra government and traditional rulers to pave the way for peace and allow Igbo stakeholders find lasting solution to insecurity in the region.

The decision was disclosed by the Chairman, Anambra Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, during a one-day peace building and security meeting held in Awka on Saturday.

Igwe Achebe, who is also the Igwe of Onitsha, said that the stakeholders have continually held meetings on the way forward to lasting resolutions of the impasse with the agitators.

He said that after its meeting with the group on Friday, April 1, it was agreed that a call to release the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, would be a great step to dousing the tension in the state and region.

He said that after the meeting, the group placed a call to all its members to sheathe their swords, put down their guns and go the way of dialogue.

“We call on all who had taken the way of gun to put down their guns and take up the olive leaf from the government to better themselves,” Mr Achebe said.

He said that the state government has set April 4 for prayers aimed at seeking God’s face to restore a lasting peace in Anambra and South East as whole.

It was agreed that on April 4, all churches in Igboland and the South-East region will join in prayers to seek God’s forgiveness and to restore peace in the area.
