Deltamani: I will pick Linda & Omilana for grooming instead, Linda big and tall and she alongside Omilana have shown potentials. Linda physique is very intimidating btw the stick. This doesn’t take away their abilities of the Shot heavy goalkeepers called up but I’m still wondering what they say in these thick short ones🥹
ekehopp2: This group is too easy, I expect 9 points. The challenge will be in the Quarter-finals. On paper should be USA or Spain. Both tough!!!
Yep this will surely happen all things being equal. We're well on our way to 2 wins out of 2. I love the confidence of the team. Much better than Set 2022.
CAF decision will likely be a Libya fine, maybe hosting match ban, and match reschedule at a neutral venue. We'll now have to play 3 matches in the November FIFA window.
Sad all around. But knocks to the NFF leadership for the poor treatment of the Libyans that warranted all this.
Super Eagles still at Al Abraq Airport 12 hours after landing in Libya!
The delegation of Nigeria to Tuesday’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Libya still remained at the Al Abraq Airport 12 hours after landing in Libya.
The chartered ValueJet aircraft was, strangely and in a dangerous manner, diverted to the small airport away from Benghazi just as the pilot was completing his approach to the Benghazi Airport. We understand the Al Abraq International Airport is only used for hajj operations.
Fatigued players and officials have remained nonplussed as the host Libyan Football Federation failed to send any reception team or even vehicles to take the delegation members from the airport to their hotel, said to be 3 hours away in Benghazi.
The NFF made arrangements for separate vehicles for the team, but the plan was unhinged by the diversion of the aircraft.
Players have resolved not to play the match any longer as NFF officials are making plans to fly the team back home.
Copied from X
I'm just getting to know that the Libyans didn't receive a smooth welcome in Nigeria. This is inexcusable; the NFF should be ashamed.
However, two wrongs don't make a right. The NFF should calmly sort things out with the Libyan FA because a boycott would mean 3 points lost and fines. CAF should take note.
BascoVanVeli: Cameroon go up 1-0 Naomi Eto'o having an Oshoala like tournament so far
Yes oh! On second thoughts I looked through both Teams Group stages. Cameroon did well and only lost to the host. I guess the 3 teams in Brazil's group (they had a perfect score, 9 points) weren't all that (Fiji most especially).
For the final 3rd place spot, because of goal difference Costa Rica (-11) are all but ruled out. So its basically Ghana vs Argentina. Whoever wins goes through. If both win, then Argentina. If both fumble then Paraguay gets their spot.
oloriooko: now i can see why danjuma benched ajakaye, the few touches she had when she came on were really poor with terrible ball judgement no wonder she's been on the bench and i thought she was going to be the next oshoola
BTW why are our northern gals not prominent in women football
Life's a biatch.
U17 WorldCup 2022 Opeyemi Ajakaye had the time of her life, while Chiamaka Okwuchukwu (U20 WorldCup 2022) got the minutes but kept missing chances after chances.
But now Chiamaka Okwuchukwu is shinning! 2 goals, 2 assist. I pray she gets a US school scholarship. Very bright girl!
ekehopp2: Germany 1 - Venezuela 0 17 minutes in. Venezuela should be easy 3 points for us. We await 12 midnight
Just like i predicted. We qualify 2nd with 6 points. We'll face Japan in Round of 16 though. I hear they're very co-ordinated. They'll likely knock us out
(All 4 lines as at 63rd minute are almost certain predictions )
Osimhen shouldn't start tomorrow, he should come from the bench. He was late. Not to mention the Finidi thing. Which he still hasn't publicly apologized for. Starting him would set a bad precedent, and would further undermine our local Coaches. There are 23 players in camp, no one is indispensable. Eguavoen should show so.
Not encouraging at all. Would like to see Ajakaye to add hustle to the attack in second half. This game and Venezuela are supposed to get us the 6 points we need.

Deltamani: Courtney Ozioma Dike made headlines in 2014 when she rejected a $7,000 bonus after representing Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Courtney made headlines at the tournament by scoring the fastest goal in FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup history—just 14 seconds into Nigeria's match against Korea Republic
Born in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Nigerian parents Vincent and Jacinta Dike, Courtney grew up excelling in both academics and football. Born on February 3, 1995, Dike is part of a distinguished soccer family. Her brother, Bright Dike, and cousin, Emmanuel Emenike, both played for Nigeria's senior men's national team, the Super Eagles.
At Edmond North High School, she scored over 90 goals and later became one of only seven players in Oklahoma State University (OSU) history to earn all-conference status at least three times.
Dike capped her collegiate career with numerous accolades and graduated in 2017 with a master's degree in accounting.
In 2015, Dike continued to make waves on the international stage, earning two caps for Nigeria at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Her brief but impactful international career includes representing Nigeria at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, where she made history as the first native Oklahoman to ever play in a World Cup match.
Now 29 years old, Courtney Dike has transitioned from the soccer field to the accounting field. A certified public accountant, she currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to contribute to her community in new ways..
Courtney Dike was the first dual nationality player to break into the Falcons, way before the current gold rush. That's as much as I remember. Am i correct?
