Sunnyson8: EXCLUSIVE: Scandal rocks Super Falcons final Olympics squad
The Super Falcons final squad for the Paris 2024 Olympics will be announced any time from now, but it will include two players imposed on coach Randy Waldrum.
Sources inside the team told SCORENigeria that in the first instance the Texan coach could not have a list of four alternate players besides a final 18-person squad because the NFF claimed they do not have the additional funds to take care of these players.
However, four alternate players were subsequently forwarded to the organisers unknown to the coach.
Among these players are two veteran players who have not been involved with the team in recent times because the coach said he has no use for them.
Interestingly, both players were also forced on the coach for last year’s World Cup.
This latest selection scandal is expected to bring Waldrum in another face-off with the NFF.
It would be recalled that the American coach and his employers rowed openly in the build-up to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
All appeared to be forgotten and forgiven when against most expectations, Waldrum guided the Super Falcons past a “Group of Death” that housed hosts Australia and Olympic Gold medalist Canada.
The Super Falcons are again drawn in a difficult-looking first round group at the Paris Olympics after they were pitched against world champions Spain, former world champions Japan and South American champions Brazil.
Nine-time African champions open their Paris Olympics campaign on July 25 against Brazil in Bordeaux. I know say Ordega go dey this imposed list. That Boss NFF woman na her God mother. Nigeria we hail thee 😁😁😁 |

Very hard, and these days takes time (years) cos you have to learn a lot. Best to do when you still have a guardian. As an adult with bills to pay, better done alongside a main job that pays the bills so you won't get frustrated. But yes, very worth it indeed in the end! |

RE: Finidi George Super Eagles invitation and the questions:
I was expecting Finidi George and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to make use of the media tour in Lagos to announce the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The press conference at the Eko Hotels would have been the perfect window to release the squad and take questions from the media about the squad.
The fans and media would have to wait until Finidi George's press conference in Uyo to get clarification and answers to their questions.
I have been getting questions about certain players and I will be commenting on the questions.
“This is not the official position, but my investigation.”
Kenneth Omeruo:
He opted out of the game due to an injury he has been managing all season. He managed just seven minutes in his club's last five games.
Troost Ekong:
He's back from injury, but he has not played at the club since March.
Ola Aina:
He missed Nottingham Forest's last league game at Burnley. After the Nottingham Forest and Chelsea sources told me, he played the game with a painkiller. He was due to take a break after the Chelsea game. He's not fit.
Frank Onyeka:
He missed Brentford last League game against Newcastle but he was due to be fit and ready before the qualifiers next month.
Cyriel Dessers:
Straight forward. The coach doesn’t need him for this window.
The left-back situation:
Bruno Onyemaechi:
Bruno missed Boavista consecutive two games before the last game of the season. Against Vizela he was substituted in the 69th minute.
Jamilu Collins:
Jamilu missed Cardiff's last three games of the season.
Sources claimed Bruno and Jamilu were not 100% fit.
I have seen people ask about Moses Simon. Simon is still recuperating from the injury he sustained against Mali in March.
My source also claimed the release of the squad was delayed because Finidi George and the Super Eagles doctors were in contact with the clubs and players in Europe, updating their injury profile and availability.

akdaniel007: What people do to kickstart their sale is as follows:
They ask a few friends to buy their gigg or offer. Then they build a track record of 5 stars customer relationship with great reviews. then they start winning their own clients and do a fantastic job with them so that they can get more clients.
Others offer free services for a few clients and get great reviews.
Then they get many jobs, and their portfolio increase. At this time it is a snowball effect. You choose one or the other, but you need some reviews where you lose money so that you can get people to buy from you at a later stage.
When you get the reviews and these are detailed reviews, it will not be the price that matters, it will be you as a person that will offer the best ever service and people will want to pay for it good money. I was successful at both strategies, and guess what, most clients kept coming back for more. Very pragmatic and realistic. Well noted |

Voarman: I'm a 27 year old who decided to go in programming sometime late last year. Prior to that point, I was working and was also into crypto(wasn't getting so much from it, but it was atleast helpful sometimes). But going into programming didn't turn out to be all I thought it would at all. I had to to comit so much time (after work) that it became slightly difficult to concentrate on other stuff which were giving me some little extra money. Right now, I feel like I'm at the tail end of my perseverance and grit. I'm always broke or not having enough to go by. My salary, is not so bad, (#45,000) but its very difficult to go by a full month with it this days. This constantly leaves me frustrated and not being able to concentrate. I didn't mention I got an admission with University of the people, to study CS (commencing the next month) but Omo I'm tired of always running to colleagues borrowing 2 or 1k regularly. It's so embarrassing right now. Omo make una advice me abeg. Was thinking of quitting, sell the laptop, and look for something else to do....but I'm afraid. I'm going to loose everything I've learnt for over a year now....and I'm not so sure the kind of business the laptop money could potentially start(bought the laptop 130k last year) And the adminision and dream of being a gradute atleast by 30, is not going to realised again. My mind don full, I don tire like this, make una advice me abeg! dream of being a gradute atleast by 30; wrong mindset. Should instead be focused on being financially secure by 30. Don't sell the laptop. You're going the school route, which is more long term, so get a job to sustain you better. Then sacrifice everything else so that outside the job its strictly school (computer science) and coding. In about a year or so you should have sufficiently skilled up to start earning from Tech. You can then quit your regular job, while joggling your Tech gig and school alone. Tech has the power to rescue you from poverty forever. Never ever forsake it. |

As per speculations, Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, Werder Bremen's Justin Njinmah, Caleb Okoli of Frozinone and Luton Town playmaker, Gabriel Osho are four newly invited players to the Super Eagles in their next two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile, Udinese of Italy goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is making a return to the Super Eagles fold after over a year while Francis Uzoho has been omitted in the 25-man team released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the June World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic. As expected, Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen headlines the list that also includes Bayer Leverkusen marksman, Victor Boniface, Samuel Chukwueze, Nathan Tella and Terem Moffi. Chuba Akpon, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Joe Aribo and Onyedika of Club Brugge and Alhassan Yusuf of Antwerp. The defenders picked are Calvin Bassey, Alex Akpoguma, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ola Aina. Smarting from his heroics at the last Africa Cup of Nations, Stanley Nwabali leads the goalkeeper trio of Okoye and Arsenal loanee, Arthur Okonkwo. Let's have your take on this list please. Best choice of leaving out Bros Uzoho? Uzoho, Omeruo on the permanent way out. Onyeamachi, and Iheanacho missing out is understandable. No Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman? I fear we are capping too many players with dual nationality while forsaking our full-bred Nigerians. Kind of unfair and like Colonial mentality. I counted 23 here. 2 more NFL to complete List? Greetings folks. Abeg any ideas? Captured for Driving license renewal on the 17th of March and given 3 months temporary license. My permanent Driving license expired 17th of April. Even as at today, the 9th of May (almost 2 months post-capture), the application status on the portal still reads: "Approved by Supervisor". However, when I renewed in 2021, I got the SMS to pick the reissued driving license up just 2 weeks after capture!
Is this delay the new status quo? Or do I need to go "press buttons" at their office to get it printed? |

Programming › Re: Social Media Is Lying To Beginner Developers. by ekehopp2: 8:52am On Apr 16, 2024 |
Devdevdev: I created this thread because I've finally arrived at an answer to the question I've been having for the past month. What languages should I focus on to get jobs as a beginner developer.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but the answer I've gotten is making me lean a bit in that direction regarding this subject.
For the past 3 years, social media has been pervaded with lies about the technologies that gives a beginner an advantage in the current job market, especially for those who are self taught.
I've done my research and these are the in demand technologies locally and abroad.
For Frontend:
Reactjs (Redux -Nextjs - Gatsby) Typescript. For styling: Tailwind
For Backend: Nodejs, PHP with laravel framework Java with Springboot frame work. On few occasions I see some ASP.net and Ruby on rails, but the highlighted are the ones that always come up.
For Data Bases: Postgresql and MySQL
On freelance sites, the most in demand language is PHP and I see lots of jobs needing wordpress, magento, drupal and shopify knowledge.
But when you go on social media, everyone will tell you to learn basic HTML CSS and JavaScript as if any company would employ anyone that knows just that. Even learning basic react without any added frameworks is not enough for a front end developer.
The worst is those that tell you to learn Python. I almost never see any Jobs for Python, whether it's the Django framework or Flask. Most jobs in python are in Data science and Machine learning, and you have to be a data scientist or advanced mathematician to work in those fields.
The amount of gatekeeping and lies is astounding. Everyone says PHP is dead, yet, one in every three jobs I see requires PHP. Four in every five freelancer jobs require PHP.
The only reason I'm even learning Python is just to use in it in solving data structures and algorithms and I won't use it beyond that. I don't have time to start learning Java as I'm preoccupied with JavaScript for frontend and backend, along with DSAs and some PHP laravel. In the future I'll pick it up.
Programming isn't saturated, it's just filled with clueless, incompetent people with half-baked skills who haven't done the right research. Most of the languages/frameworks you listed are already on my ToDo/DOne list. You spoke the truth! |
