South African game, are there hopes that it'd be televised? Super Sports won't even step in? Or we'll have to rely on the usual suspects with their benevolent single camera?

I'm Still a newbie in the game, But here are some from my 4 earliest opportunities.
Role: Front End Web Development

-How would you implement Role-Based Access Control on a school website.
-What is the meaning of a 404 error code on a website?
-What is the response from a Fetch API call ?
-Do you know Object oriented programming?
-Are you familiar with design patterns?
-How do you typically debug your code?

@ OP Damidave1124
Tech has changed, the bar has been raised for beginners. So realistically It'll take you about 2 to 3 years of dedicated and consistent study to be skilled enough to start making something reasonable from it.
In the long run though it's well worth it, and you'll never be poor again in your life, as your programming value will continuously increase geometrically.

If you choose to go on the journey, try to have other sources of income so you can successfully see it through.

Remember that Tech is not a "get rich quick scheme", but a "get permanently upper middle class slow scheme".

Make a sacrifices today that will permanently secure your future or continue in mediocrity.
The choice is yours. It's a question of how desperately do you want it.

I can't understand why the spambot hid my previous comment and banned me for a day. Probably because I quoted the original post?

Anyways wanted to say congrats to the OP Devdevdev.

Truly e no easy, she has all bragging rights.
I'm right behind her though.
Good luck to everyone on this same path.

ProgrammingRe: How Long Does It Takes To Become A Full Stack Web Devoloper by ekehopp2: 6:38pm On Mar 28, 2024
tensazangetsu20:
I will comment as someone who just started learning to code in February.

A full stack developer is someone who builds the front end and back end of web applications.

Front end normal consists of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and one JavaScript Framework(react, angular or Vue).

Back end is enormous. You can use JavaScript on the backend with nodejs but there are other languages like java, PHP, c#, python. The list is endless. You also need to know at least one database for the backend side.

I have been studying at least 10 hours a day since February. I can practically count the number of times I have left home and I just finished the front end track. I try to build as I learn so maybe that's a reason for me being slow. I presently just started the backend track and it should take me another 6 months at least with the language I am learning plus I have a really really big project I want to build. A full stack application with front end and back end.

As for Jobs, omho the work plenty o. I started applying to front end developer jobs and I have already sent out 60+ applications. I have like 6 code tests In my emails. Will use the weekend to tackle them. There's so many jobs out there for developers. There's like a gazillion jobs out there men it's so scary.

I studied marine engineering and my course practically has no jobs. I remember when I graduated like they were no jobs online at all. I had to be sending my CVS to company's emails and praying someone read it.

Op if you wanna learn it, just start.
February 2020 to March 2024. I love how Nairaland provides data to study programmers career growth for the inspiration.
Truly 4 years in Tech is enough for any serious individual to turn his/her life around.

Hey all.
I finally got my first offer smiley

My base salary is 400k and I'd be resuming as a Frontend Developer for a new startup.

Don't give up.
Well done bro. first read this thread like a year ago. A year later I'd say I'm now finally about 80% job ready. Started an internship a month ago, and now actively also applying for jobs, doing interviews etc to further better myself for when I hit that proper first job.
I can now totally relate. You do well!
I've been coding off and on over the years but started being consistent and serious December 2022.
I believe my own testimony is not far off soon again.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Nigeria 0 - 2 Mali
International friendly; 27th March 2024

1) Sad game. Awaziem gifted Mali a goal with a careless pass across the defense.
2) We made too many backward passes and not enough attacking plays.
3) Finidi showed poor man management and made very late changes. (You can be sure some players would be glad to see the last of him).
4) In his defense, though, he had no assistance aside from a goalkeeping coach.
5) And as soon as Lookman came on for Onyedika and we switched from 5 at the back to 4, we became porous and eventually conceded a second goal.
6) Naija, being WOWO (We Only Want Oyibo), Finidi has now given them an excuse to hire a journeyman white coach.
7) Who will enjoy a fat salary yet certainly won't qualify Nigeria for the World Cup (2 points out of 6 so far, & no preparations expected before qualifiers resume).

Lols, you're not aware he played in AFCON 2021? Wasn't so impressive then. Super Eagles players too much now.

Surprised Ebuehi was invited after stinking up the joint against Saudi Arabia i think. Good thing he got injured. He shouldnt be invited again please. Let other players be given chances.
