saaphiere: Tension on Thursday enveloped the Otovwodo axis of Ughelli, headquarters of Ughelli North local government area of Delta State as a policeman was killed following the protest that rocked the town in the wake of the #ENDSARS Protest. The incident also led to the destruction of several cars as commuters along the East-West road axis of Otovwodo junction scampered for safety following the series of gunshots that ensued while the melee lasted.
The protesters had begun their protest from the Otovwodo junction axis of Ughelli and marched through Isoko road to the market road while boycotting the Ughelli ‘A’ division police station to Ekuigbo and back to Otovwodo junction.
Protesting in a convoy of tens of exotic cars in the company of some female protesters, one of the leaders of the protesters who identified himself as Ochuko, said they had decided to boycott the police station in a bid to forestall a clash with policemen at the station. It was gathered that some of the protesters who were apparently agitated, had met a team of policemen at Otovwodo junction were the protest walk was supposed to end and a clash ensued leading to sporadic gunfire with the police returning same.
An eye witness at the scene of the incident told Vanguard that upon sighting the policemen, the protesters opened fire leading to the death of a policeman while the others fled. Though efforts to speak with the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya were fruitless as at the time of this report, the source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “Several cars were damaged following the pandemonium that ensued as the protesters opened fire on the police team leading to the death of a police corporal. “The corporal who was on special duty at the scene of the incident identified as Stanley was until his death attached to the Ughelli Police Area Command.”

Former Big Brother Naija (BBN) housemate Lucy Edet recently packed her bags from Lagos down to Calabar where she had a lovely homecoming event planned for her.
Like other housemates from previous seasons who were celebrated for representing their states, the reality star was also received like a queen upon her arrival in the city.
Traditional dancers received Lucy as she alighted from the car and made her way to the venue for the event. In a video posted on her Instagram page, the reality star was seen busting dance moves just like the dancers who came to welcome her.
Lucy was gifted with cakes, flowers and other items too numerous to mention.

Big Brother Canada 8 is the eighth season of the Canadian reality television series Big Brother Canada. The season premiered with a two-night premiere on March 4–5, 2020, on Global and was expected to end on May 21 with the live finale.
The season was planned to run for a total of 83 days. However, on March 24, 2020, Big Brother Canada announced an early end to production on the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, with the season finale airing on April 1, 2020.

Neo was last week caught washing Vee’s pants.
Nengi, a friend of the duo who was in shock after she walked in on Neo washing the underwear said Vee was a lucky girl to have a man like Neo wash her pants.
But, Neo’s action generated criticism by Nigerians who described him as a disgrace to men.
But reacting, Neo said he did not wash the pant.
According to him, he only rinsed the pants.
He said, ”This is 2020, there is no special act of service, I know how to express my feeling. Funny enough that day I did not wash the pant, I only rinsed it.”

I have a pretty girl, we started dating 8 months ago, this girl is everything I need in a woman, she is neat, cooks well and humble, so perfect to my taste but she is epileptic.
I have been inviting her to my house for over 5months for her to sleep over in my apartment but she keeps refusing, telling me she has a problem then I later promised her whatever the problem is that I wouldn't abadon her.
She finally came on friday, we ate together and later in the night at 22:38 she started having epilepsy and after about 45mins she woke up and started crying, she told me she has been suffering from epilepsy since Feb 2019 but she hasn't been to the hospital due to financial issues.
So please can we find drug for nocturnal epilepsy, it happens to her only at night like 30 to 35mins in her sleep.
sapphiere: An attempt by a police officer to separate a fight by two warring groups claiming ownership of an unspecified amount of cash given to them by the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, claimed one life in the state on Saturday. The police officer was however promptly taken into custody on the orders of the state police commissioner, according to the spokesman for the state police command, Muhammad Sadiq, who also confirmed the incident. The rowdy scene broke out at the Sultan Bello’s Mosque in Sokoto where the governor had gone to attend a special prayer session for the commemoration of Nigeria’s forthcoming 60th anniversary of Nigeria’s Independence. The Sokoto police spokesperson, Muhammad Sadiq, identified the deceased as Aminu Abdulrahman, 25 years old, and the trigger-happy policeman as Bello Garba. Three others were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries during the fracas which broke between two groups that fought over the cash which the governor dropped for them as they hailed him on arrival at the mosque. According to reports, the sharing of the cash triggered the trouble that led to the man’s death. The police statement said the state Commissioner of Police in Sokoto, Ibrahim Kaoje, had ordered the detention and trial of the erring officer, who is said to have been deployed from the Counter-Terrorism Unit Base 18 Gusau in Zamfara State for special protection of the governor. The police statement said in part, “The commissioner unequivocally cautions that officers and men of the command must deploy all professional acumen at their disposal including psychological capacity in order to enhance the safety of the people of the state and not to resort to using the same against the populace.”
saphiere: Some residents of Iwo community in Osun state on Thursday protested a petition written by a group of chiefs to the state government, asking for the removal of Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi. over alleged misconduct.
The PUNCH reports that the group, under the aegis of Concerned kingmakers of Iwoland, in a letter dated September 9, 2020, written to governor Adegboyega Oyetola, accused the monarch of engaging in acts not expected of a traditional ruler, including fights against some notable personalities within and outside his domain and his alleged concealed criminal past.
They also said Akanbi, after his coronation in 2016, declared himself as an “Emperor”, a title the kingmakers said is not known to Iwo history.
But in a video shared on social media, the protesting residents can be heard saying the Oluwo of Iwo delivered them from slavery.
The residents in there numbers urged and prayed that the monarch cannot be removed has he has done a lot for the betterment of the community and he cannot be removed. According to some residents, since the installation of the present Oluwo of Iwo land, the community has been more peaceful.
Addressing the media, indigenes said they will go against those who seek the removal of their monarch and would not hesitate to place curses on such fellow. “He cannot be removed, he cannot be removed,” they cried louder in support of the monarch.
