Youths bringing up all possible way to make this wizkid a president |
The youth-driven campaign of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP has taken a new dimension following the steam it’s been getting. A group of youths supporting Obi took his campaign to a club they visited on Saturday night. In the image, Peter Obi’s name was visibly displayed on LED screens inside the night club, with words that promoted his candidacy. This was a part of the youth strategy to sell the candidacy of Mr. Peter Obi

Former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola has attacked his political ally and leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, over who becomes the next governor of the state. Aregbesola, who is the current Minister of Interior, spoke in Ijebu Ijesa while addressing the All Progressives Congress, APC, faithful and stakeholders ahead of the party’s governorship primary. Aregbesola, while addressing the crowd, described the incumbent Governor and his successor, Gboyega Oyetola, as the most “useless and corrupt governor in the history of the state.” The minister said categorically that Oyetola would not be allowed to return for a second term in office the same way former Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, was treated in 2019. Although Aregbesola did not directly mention Tinubu’s name, he launched some verbal attacks at the APC National Leader in relation to the political situation in Osun. He said that Tinubu abused his leadership and suddenly assumed the god complex. “We followed and served this leader with all our might. In fact, our loyalty to him had caused some people to start wondering if we were no longer Muslims,” he said. “But we were with him and served him according to the admonition of our forefathers, who said when serving anyone, we should do so with sincerity and loyalty; that if you regard anyone as your principal, you must serve him wholeheartedly. “Sadly, we didn’t know that while we wished him well, he didn’t think good of us. “However, because we placed him higher than where he ordinarily should be, he started to think he is our god. “Unfortunately, for him, we had sworn to God that whoever compares himself to him, we’d beg Him to bring down such a fellow.”

Ondo State Government has vowed to resist any antics of River State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in meddling into the conduct of the October 10 governorship election. It said Governor Wike’s imperialistic approach was most unfortunate and very unbecoming. Ondo Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, in a press statement, said Wike’ imperious attitude and recourse to spurious allegations just because of an election was amusing. Ojogo said the people of Ondo State would resist any attempt by Wike to play the role of a godfather in Ondo state. He said “Ondo is not Rivers.” According to him, “In all aspects, Governor Wike deserves respect not just as governor but as a critical stakeholder in the Democratic journey. He has his inalienable rights as a citizen to express his mind and make comments about whatever he feels strongly about. “However, what amuses us is his imperious attitude and recourse to spurious allegations just because of an election. He should know that the people of the State, who have a history of rejecting external influence and domination, will resist his attempt to play the role of a godfather in Ondo state. Ondo is not Rivers. “The man ought to know that utterances of public office holders must be measured and their delivery ought to be in line with the mood of the people. “The people of the state will resist Wike here even if he had roared elsewhere successfully. For emphasis, his imperialistic approach is most unfortunate and very unbecoming.” |

Good day good people of nairaland as the bad ones are advised to stay off. I have a girl I've been dating for like a year now, she's a nice girl no doubts and I love her but a times I don't think I'm in the right path, she hardly keeps things I tell her as secret, I tell her something today and tomorrow her friends will say it in front of me or ask me that same stuff and this makes me feel bad as I think my secrets are not save with it, she clams to be churchy and all that so we don't engage in any romance at all, but still yet I love her and plan on getting married to her but her not keeping secrets has made me develop cold feet and to worsen the matter she told me she has a male as a best friend which am not comfortable with. should I continue with the relationship or call it off cause I don't need divorce neither do I want to endure my marriage. |
