Pls o, let me ask, how much does lecturers earn.
I know most of them are the best brain and they find themsel lecturin, equipping banks staff, oil firms staffs still they don't earn up to the people the equip. Any lecturer who manages to earn well must be a PhD holder and a senior lecturer.
Why?

RomanceRe: Why Nigerian Ladies Should Never Settle For Less by Ekowise(m): 1:54pm On Sep 21, 2014
safarigirl: Being born into a society such as the Nigerian one connites certain things for a female.

From the day you can tell your right from your left, you're basically taught to be subservient to men. You're told that your place is in the kitchen and your brothers' place is in front of the television. Most of all, you're told that your only purpose in this world, is to fulfill the desires of some dude, serve him and bear his children. You are not to aspire for anything more and failure to live up to these expectations means failure as a person.

Well, this thread was inspired by a certain thread that was on FP today:

https://www.nairaland.com/1911041/why-nigerian-girls-should-not

Now, the stupidity of this thread is baffling. Basically, it's some lady telling females to settle for less. Telling us that we do not deserve the best and we shouldn't make any efforts to aspire for such because that would be foolhardy.

I honestly sympathise with her that she was unable to get the man of her desires, and eventually chose to settle for Plan B, who in fact was not what she desired, but as they say, when the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.

Time and again on Nairaland you find numerous chauvinists telling women basically that they have no opinion, telling us that we ought to dance skelewu because one of these rare species called 'men' looked upon us with pity and decided to marry us. And for those poor souls like Rita Dominic, Linda Ikeji and Genevieve Nnaji who are yet to be honored witha wedding ring? They should keep praying the rosary and hope they don't die 'marriageless'

Marriage is the be all and end all of a woman, therefore, she must settle for a raggamuffin if she hasn't found a gentleman at the ripe 'OLD' age of 27. Once you're through with University, your next bus stop should be a man's house.

Many women have ended up in loveless, frustrating marriages after settling for less, because all your friends got married after University doesn't mean you must marry at that time. Don't be the one whose story ends with 'Had I Known'

Feel free to live a little, keep your head on your shoulders, walk with your chin up, if you want your man to be as tall as Lebron James, don't settle for Tom Cruise, if you want him to be as charming as Antonio Banderas, don't settle for Al Pacino, if you want him to be as fit as CR7, don't settle for Mr. Ibu. If you must settle for less, let it be reasonable, don't go from a Lebron to a Kevin Hart because you're 'getting old and all your mates are married" no be who marry first dey happy pass.

Even the bible says "ask and it shall be given unto you" so if you tell God "I will manage..." He will bless you with a 'manageable' man.

God bless you as you settle with the best smiley

If this what you were told when you started knowing your left and right, don't assume it to every other ladies. A whole lots of ladies were given proper orientation about how to make impact in their generations and be a good mother and wife and not slaves.
Though you later made vital good points but your initial opinion can send wrong signal to ladies. Hence denting on their perception of things.
Ladies deserve what men deserve too and should be thought that in the right way.
CultureRe: Common Beautiful Names From The Igbo Tribe by Ekowise(m): 8:38am On Sep 16, 2014
For those asking why the "chukwu", "ukwu", "chi", etc in most Igbo name, it's due to the origin of the Igbo. As in, lost tribe of Israel. Also, the Igbos do nothing without make reference to CHI which means "GOD or gods". Right from the "days of yore", the Igbos believe anything they do or that happens is a responsibility of a CHI.
Even when "chukwu or chi" is not used directly but indirectly it is there.
I hope this answers your question?

Just like I love the name:
CHIMEKWEKAMDA= my God won't let me fall.

Christianity EtcRe: Exclusive Pictures Of Bishop David Oyedepo In His 4.2 Billion Naira Private Jet. by Ekowise(m): 10:46am On Aug 16, 2014
Even if this man decides to travel to any advanced countries which pay are high, in a first class jet, every week in a week, every month in a year and for the next 60years(which he may not live upto because he is above 50years), he will not spend up to a billion( with inflation included).
So while not use a reasonable portion of that money all even all to support the lives of the poor members of at least his church.
Even his travelling can also be sponsored by his member or people who have been blessed through his ministry.
EducationRe: Five Degrees That Employers Don't Want by Ekowise(m): 5:47pm On Aug 15, 2014
hardbody: If you have a second class upper degree in any of those courses and succesfully write and pass entry qualification exams into Banks, O&G companies, Consultancy firms, FMCGs, etc, you can aspire to become a Managing Director some day, irrespective of the degree acquired. The best MDs in Banks never studied Banking and Finance, egg heads in Consultancy firms did not all study Management related courses. A first degree gives all graduates a general view of functional literacy and education, what you become thereafter is subject to what you make of the next set of opportunities that come your way.

Meanwhile, for those who do not quite get it, Economics is one of the most versatile courses there could ever be. It opens up an endless vista into a world of opportunities. For the avoidance of doubt, I did not study Economics or even the behavioural sciences but i know from experience that it is a wonderful course to study (in Nigeria at least).
You spoke wisely . I had to do my Masters in Economics and I bet you I've never and will never regret it.

yes we must continue to disturb them. after all it's the same internet service. 1gig is not much to ask for for #1000. if BIS can be 3gig for #1000, AIS(android internet service ) of #1000 for 1gig is not bad.
I see it happening soon.
