Every time I tell the Biafra mumu people that Niger Delta will never join Biafra they call me Afonja or Fulani terrorist, there's the proof, now call everyone from Niger Delta Afonja. These Biafrans think we're stupid. Sorry we're not stupid,we know exactly what we want and it's not Biafra.
Of course, Ojuwku's spirit is in Nnamdi Kanu, that's why Kanu ran away like a coward after sending thousands of young Biafra men to their early grave just like Ojuwku ran away to Ivory Coast while nearly 5 million Biafrans were killed. Biafrans have always had cowards as leaders.
fozapi: Forget what you see all Igbos are ipob, massob and Biafrans, our problem is not having someone with the ojukwu spirit to take over, I swear when ojukwu was alive if he had a way to still defeat Nigeria and give Igbos freedom before he died he would have done it, the man didn't want Nigeria anymore.
We know Uwazurike strayed away from the Biafran struggle and again Uwazurike does not have the ojukwu spirit, Uwazurike did his best but he soiled his legacy because he got compromised and started eating with politicians and ojukwu was different he did not back down, if not for food that was used as a weapon the UN would have divided Nigeria we were so close. So close.
I see the ojukwu spirit in Kanu a spirit of not backing down and wherever he is now he would be happy that someone has finally woken up to do the right thing and Uwazurike Fulanis can't give you Biafra through nonviolence they are not the British, you have been on it for the past 22yrs so when is Biafra coming? As much as we hate to admit, Kanu has the ojukwu spirit, argue with yourself
Investigative: Meet The Four (4) Biafra War Heroes Who Are Yoruba -
Biafran Heroes of Yoruba Extraction
Not many of us remember the Yoruba soldiers who fought gallantly on the side of Biafra. This is a quick attempt to remember some of them now.
1.Lt Col Victor Banjo
He was one of the first graduates to join the army alongside Ojukwu and others. The two were best of friends according to public records and individual accounts. When Ojukwu released the January 15 coup suspects in the Eastern region after the revenge coup ,Banjo stayed in the government house with him while the rest were accommodated elsewhere in Independent Layout,Enugu. Banjo led the 3,000 strong Biafran brigade known as the "Liberation Army of Nigeria" and also called the "Midwest Expeditionary Force" in the planned invasion of Lagos. His forces reached Benin within 12 hours on August 9,1967.By this time,Nigerian forces had captured Biafran towns of Obudu, Garkem,Ogoja, Nsukka heading to Enugu and Bonny, heading to Port Harcourt. Banjo's arguments with Ojukwu resulted in fatal tactical delays in Benin and Ore enroute Lagos for several days.He was recalled back to Enugu alongside his deputy and Quartermaster;Major Ifeajuna,court-martialed and executed with 3 others in September 1967. Lt Col Banjo was the highest ranking Yoruba in the Biafran army.
2.Major Wale Ademoyega
One of the five majors that toppled the government of Balewa on January 15,1966,he was released from Warri prison during the Midwest invasion in August 1967 by a battalion led by Major Chukwuka; another of the five Jan 15 majors. He first commanded the Biafra newly reorganised 19th Battalion but replaced Ifeajuna as the "Liberation Army" Quartermaster General when he(Ifeajuna) was recalled back to Enugu with his commander;Col Banjo. Ademoyega wrote a book on the Jan 15 coup titled Why We Struck. He was arrested by federal soldiers after the war, faced the military commission and was detained until October 1974.
3.Capt Ganiyu Adeleke.
He was one of the Jan 15 officers released by Ojukwu. He cordinated the Biafra 18 Battalion at Onitsha as Infantry Company commander with Major Chukwuka in readiness for the Midwest invasion. He distinguished himself in the charge toward Ore and later become an instructor at the Biafra School of Infantry. When other Biafran soldiers who took part in the Midwest invasion were released from prison in 1974 after Gowon granted them pardon, Capt Adeleke,Lt Col Ochei and "Col Hannibal"Achuzia were exempted from pardon and remained imprisoned.
4.Lt Fola Oyewole
He also joined in setting up the Biafra 18th Battalion at Onitsha and commanded the D Company that liberated Ughelli, parts of Sapele and Warri during the Midwest expedition. Lt Oyewole is one of the first soldier to write a very instructive book on the civil war titled the Reluctant Rebel. It is a credible account of the civil war from the eyes of an active Biafran army commander who is not from the East. Oyewole is also one of the Biafran soldiers detained by the federal government after the war and released in 1974.
Note:
Other notable Yoruba who opposed the federal government on the Biafra war include but not limited to: 1.Wole Soyinka 2.Tai Solarin 3.Prof Hezekiah Oluwasanmi;former Vice Chancellor of OAU Ife (1966-1975)
The pictures below are arranged in line with the arrangement of the article with only Capt. Adeleke missing in the pictures
Maybe it was so easy to defeat ESN because they're a bunch of cowards with no training and no proper weapons to fight a war.Have you noticed that the Boko Haram leader is not overseas in England but fighting in the war front with his soldiers? The South East has always had cowards as leaders.Ojukwu was a leader who ran away while his army surrendered and now you have an albino who has run away to England while his people are being butchered. Until the South East have a brave leader they should forget about fighting. Bunch of cowards.
mancoconut: ISWAP and Boko haram just had a merger under a new and far more deadly leader (anyone who knows about Baana Duguri) will wish Shekau were still alive.
I pity the North especially because they will soon go from eating grass to chowing on cow sh*t for survival when the disaster that will be unleashed on them takes shape... Yorroobas should also be wary cause they are the most endangered region in the South right now with the likes of MURIC really spreading the worrying seeds of Islamic fanaticism among the yoruba Muslims, plus many of their leaders and elites have acknowledged and reiterated that the SW has now been surrounded by dangerous Fulani/Islamic bandits and warlords from volatile regions like Niger Republic, Mali, Chad etc...
It appears the Nigerian military are really out to destroy ESN once and for all because they know ESN might just be the only thing standing between the East and total annihilation and conquest when the hordes start sweeping in full force down South, the fact that a Nigerian military that has failed to destroy Boko haram or capture BH terrorist cells scattered around the North for decades have suddenly developed the uncanny ability to "discover and sack" ESN camps in just the space of months... if you have a brain then it doesn't take half a brain cell to know something doesn't add up..
May God save Nigeria especially the North cause it just for worse.

What is this Biafran armed robber doing on Niger Delta thread? Go to your Biafra thread and make noise. Niger Delta people don't make noise, that's why everyone listens when we talk. We have the ability to back it up with action.
esnbrutality: We the SS CREW We the our "oyel" crew We the "jonathan is daft" crew We the "shepopotamus" crew
When the 'mannequin" talked zombies cheered and insulted IGBO people...now their "stroke afflicted brother" is issuing press statements to calm frayed nerves in the Niger delta.
This thread will die a natural death , because it isnt an IGBO bashing thread...but be rest assured that BIAFRA is here!!
Chigator: The following write-up is in no way intended to incite violence, tribalism or provoke any group(s). This is in-line with the UN charter (1945) Article 1 Chapter 1 in support of self-determination by any people and the UDHR Article 19 which accords every human being with the freedom of speech and expression.
MISCONCEPTIONS ON BIAFRA
“A warrior is not defined by his strength or skill but conviction to die for his cause.” The poorly represented populace of the South-East have as a consensus expressed, through various means their deep desire to seek a nationality outside the status quo. I hereby boldly reaffirm my commitment to the actualization of Biafra; God willing in my lifetime.
In light of current events; on behalf of my fellow compatriots I want to use this post to admonish and dismiss some misconceptions raised on the issue of Biafra which I hope will bridge the understanding for all parties.
My views outlined below may not be popular with my fellow biafrans nevertheless it holds the innate and progressive truth. Here listed:
1. Secession doesn’t translate to War in any Language
Secession is neither a declaration of war or threat. It is just another step in the process of conflict resolution. Any group that tries to demonize with imaginary blood is either a parasite or trouble maker which no one wishes to admit.
Biafrans don’t possess destructive tendencies, any violent outburst is only a natural response to the apparent chokehold by the government on opined throats of freedom seekers.
If I were to be a westerner I would tag this a “black-man clause” because the westerners and asians alike who we borrowed modern civilization from have provided successful cases of secession experiments yet some of us choose to be blind.
Fortunately, in our case we have a softer dispute. Unlike the Israel-Palestine, Sudan or Arab conflicts, our dispute at this stage doesn’t stem from land ownership conflict, resource tussle, etc. All that is involved euphemistically speaking can be likened to a change of governments, change of sovereignty, names, flags etc. Nothing fundamentally sophisticated, so why has the Federal Government of Nigeria chosen to shed the blood of numerous innocent Biafrans if it has not been hijacked by private interest?
2. The South-South is completely Dispensable
I still want to believe BIAFRA is not an Igbo exclusive Project hence I earlier avoided generalizing Biafrans as Igbos, now diversity and individuality has knocked and we have to answer. I have an Igbo Father, an Urhobo Mother. I was born and brought up in Anambra State. Aside paternal relation, I identify strictly as Igbo due to affinity.
The South-South has been synonymous to Igbos for a long while until recently when identity politics became a criteria for political representation in Nigeria which is justifiable in the context of the prevalent nepotic culture. Mutual grounds hasn’t mitigated the widening divide in any way.
We have witnessed biological twins break ties talk less of loose ethnic groups with stints of bad blood in between. It won’t come as a shock if tomorrow a section of Southeast seeks out of the Biafran Plan.
It has become a paradoxical joke that the Igbos who seek freedom from Nigeria have themselves become unity beggars. I won’t agree, we are not and will never be beggars. We were not the ones who claimed abandoned properties in the aftermath of the war. Left with 20 pounds, did we succumb to their impoverishing intent? No. Blessed with natural, human and capital resources we are not left bare, fortunately our “oil” has not become our only bragging right in Nigeria and beyond.
Why then should we begin belittling ourselves , even to the extent of exchanging slurs with these groups, how convincing can our insult be? Will we become what we fight against?
I charge every Igbo to take rejection as a motivation to outperform objectives and expectations, let their denigration revert to praise as was with our bounce back from the war.
To our South-South brethren don’t let the Nigerian Model confine your understanding of governance. Switzerland is a country of at least 7 major ethnic groups (Including groups of Italian, German and French extractions) each represented by a president (7 equal presidents called a Federal Executive Council) unlike a single president whose loyalty might be ambiguous. Just a peek of what a true federal state means for equal representation. Humans are intelligent enough to negotiate. Ya Gazie. “Better a familiar devil than a strange angel”.
3. Landlocked not Brain Locked.
“The worst defeat is of the Mind”
Once again, I point to the Swiss Model. Switzerland is a completely landlocked country in Europe. 22 times smaller than Nigeria and is not resource rich. Yet, Switzerland is the world’s largest commodities trading hub. It controls 35%, 60%, 50% of global Oil, Metals and Sugar & Cereals trade respectively. How is this possible? Excluding gold, the commodities most of which not sourced from Europe never physically enter Switzerland but are transported directly from producing country, processing and entrepot down to final consumer by Swiss companies and their foreign subsidiaries.
In 19th century, the Rothschild family established the first international banking network in Europe, they executed international transactions for royals and merchants without moving physical coins. They achieved this when each brother established a branch of the bank in major economic hubs in Europe, when a transfer is made, the recipient branch records in his ledger that his brother’s branch owes him an amount, when convenient they settle accounts. This practice pioneered an industry, established their influence in Europe and saved them from highway robberies and non-credible partners.
Bringing this back home, God willing, Biafra will not be limited by a coastline. That narrative should be squashed in the mind of every naysayer. Yes, some would say statically, it would take a miracle for a landlocked nation to become an economic hit nevertheless we still believe in the God of 20 pounds from1971 shortly before the indigenization policy where Biafrans were tactically excluded while the rest of Nigeria exclusively scooped up the wealth which Biafrans played a significant role in building . Your expectations are yours and can't stop us.
We have looked inwards enough, I believe it is time to look outwards. If we can be threatened close to home by neighbors, then it’s time to forge alliances and networks far from home. The market is now globalized and broad and we are up to the task. God willing it, lack of opportunities in Nigeria gave us the largest diaspora community from Nigeria. We have a wide distribution of our compatriots around the world right from the hinterlands of Africa to developed economies. A good proportion of which are entrepreneurs rather than domestic workers having enough capital base to make an impact.
Africa is the last frontier. Let’s grow with it. Let’s discard our notorious characteristics, becoming better guests and build on our already established foundational networks by consolidating our wealth for greater impact. A single Axe Head is more effective than a thousand cutlery knives.
Slowly, we’ll liquidate, drain and divert our wealth held in Nigeria. Then and only will our elite be independent of the government’s persecution pressure. Subsequently, political interests will align with the masses then freedom is definitely near.
4. BIAFRA is not a Mission of Hate, Rancor or Supremacy
We are humans too with flesh and blood. No true Biafran can claim supremacy over any tribe, group or entity. We can’t claim Biafra will eventually become a heaven on earth rather it will be easier to bend our own government to our will, such attempt in Nigeria will be seen as an imperialist move.
We also can’t claim to be infallible, perfect or saints. In the past, we made mistakes and miscalculations, which we will be wrong not to admit. Critics say we are the architects of our misfortune, yes we concede but note, the last you should expect is to remain on the ground for people to mock and scorn us. If you feel offended, on behalf of my compatriots I and other well- meaning Biafrans apologize.
The bitter atmosphere is only reflective of the times, desperation and anxiety gets the better of most.
Fellow Biafrans, every step forward should be corrective and calculative in every sense of the word. We are not separating because we hate Fulani, Muslims or any other group, presidency denial or any secondary interest.
We shouldn’t misinterpret the struggle because tomorrow Buhari will leave office, an Igbo can be foisted as Head of State. What next? Rather we secede for the sole sake of Autonomy. We should be able forge our own path and to decide our fate without consulting or patronizing anyone. That is the only way to actualize our maximum potentials.
Let’s prioritize our freedom over miniscule benefits Nigeria might seem to offer.
Look around you today, do you sense hope or despair? Inflation in all sectors especially Food sector, Ardent Corruption, Astronomical Foreign Debt, Negligence and Apathy, Insecurity, Victimization of our People, Marginalization, and widespread Secessionist sentiments. Does it sound like a budding nation bound to thrive or a Worn-Out Contraption rigged to blow. Our Commitment needs to be deeper and our Efforts greater. Salvation is near. If we relent in times of persecution our faith is small. God Wills It and It shall be.
Ugonna62: Congrats to prof.Charls soludo the next governor of Anambra state.its now very obvious that with this pramaries PDP is not a serious opposition party.
colorsofrainbow: The way Nnamdi Kanu's silence is a source of worry for zombies eh That was how they rejoiced over his supposed "death" by the Nig.Army back in 2017 until he showed up and shut them up forever. They hav started ranting again, once he shows up,all APC miscreants,Fulani terrorists & their representatives will go into hiding
BKayy: This is the difference between us and you people. While we post pictures of how our soldiers defeated and humiliated your troops like the men they are, you cowards celebrate Women and Children that were starved by British blockade (something that was not even your own doing). Speaks of levels. You lots are cowards that never recorded any victory on the battle field
fozapi: I have talked about what I see as hypocrisy by my people here https://www.biafranboys.org/cow-meat-to-yoruba-and-igbo-pomp-eaters, they say they don't want the Fulani but they keep buying the Fulani cows, and don't get me wrong I still want the business to continue, but to keep the Fulanis away we must Boycott Fulani cows that not in a ranch and Igbos should invest in ranching.
Igbo Leaders should give igbos land and interest-free loans to be able to build the ranch so they can buy cows from where ever and put them in the ranch.
If you want to keep the Fulanis at bay you must stop buying their cows for now because we know many Igbo businessmen always buy Fulani cows even Uwazurike said it himself that he buys Fulani cows, you can't eat your cake and hate it, look for other places to buy your cows from.
I hate hypocrisy you can't be complaining about Fulanis while you still go and buy their cows and they bring them for you down south and start eating the crops of your own Igbo people, we must stop this nonsense, the only way to stop this Fulani menace is to stop eating cow meat or stop buying Fulani cows
In 1967, with the start of the War Utuk, a native of Ibibio, joined the Biafran Army and quickly rose in ranks. Utuk is said to have fought at most of the large-scale battles during the war. When Utuk was made colonel he was put into command of the Biafran 16th Division to defend the city of Owerri from the oncoming Nigerian Army. When General Benjamin Adekunle decided to invade Aba instead of Owerri, he was pleased and decided to stay back and let Major Timothy Onwuatuegwu handle the Nigerians.
After separate battle at Aba and Umuahia Utuk did not expect the Nigerian Army to arrive. On September 17, 1968 General Benjamin Adekunle attacked Owerri.
Utuk and his men overpowered Adekunle's troops and forced them to flee to Oguta, but when Utuk arrived in Oguta he was met with heavy firepower from Adekunle's troops.
Utuk fled to Umuahia leaving Owerri open to occupation. Immediately after the occupation of Owerri Biafran President Odumegwu Ojukwu ordered Utuk and Major Onwuatuegwu to invade and retake Owerri. After seven months of heavy fighting Utuk is able to recapture Owerri.
After Owerri was retaken Ojukwu sent Utuk and Onwuatuegwu to Umuahia for defense. On March 22, 1969 Nigerian General Mohammed Shuwa invaded modern-day Abia State with 8,500 men.
A large force of MiG-17's bombed the towns of Uzuakoli and Arochukwu, but did not damage any Biafran defenses. On April 22 Shuwa was able to break through Onwuatuegwu's line of defense and was able to take Umuahia.
Utuk decided to invade the city and after four hours of Nigerian occupation, Utuk was able to retake the city.
Why do Biafra people always think South South and them are twins? How do you know who South South will vote for? Did we tell you how we're voting? We don't play that type of politics that SE play,we play mainstream politics not regional politics. Count SS out of your permutations.
Mangekyo: You may be right, that's why I said you should enlighten me more on how you think Tinubu is winning. Pls don't quote history to me. The situation is, SS and SE won't vote Yoruba. Except somehow you think northerners would ditch a northerner for Tinubu. If that happens then of course Tinubu should win. But it's highly unlikely imo
adenigga: …begs late Ataga’s family for forgiveness, speaks on drug use, childhood
With investigation still ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the death of the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, the prime suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu, during an exclusive interview with Sunday PUNCH on Saturday, said she doesn’t want to die over the case.
Amid cries, the University of Lagos undergraduate said, “I regret killing Mr Ataga. I don’t know what my future holds but I don’t want to die. Please, I don’t want to die because of this case. I have not killed before.
“I was just trying to comport myself to answer questions during the parade and not that I am not showing remorse. I totally regretted everything I did and I am sorry. Mr Ataga’s family, I am deeply sorry for what I did. If I had my life back, I wouldn’t do anything like that. I am deeply sorry and I hope you forgive me.”
Chidinma and Ataga reportedly lodged in a service apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State and the corpse of the latter was discovered the next day in the room and the former fled, thus raising suspicion of her complicity in his death.
The police said they went after her and tracked her down at her father’s Alagomeji, Yaba residence.
Upon her arrest, Chidinma attributed her action to the influence of hard drugs and alcohol. Speaking while being paraded by the police, Chidinma said she met the late Ataga about four months ago. Chidinma also said that she and Ataga were “having fun” when an argument broke out and she stabbed him twice after which she withdrew N380, 000 from his account using his ATM card.
The police had also disclosed that an Information and Communication Technology unit recently created by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, tracked the suspect, who used different SIM cards– both Nigerian and foreign ones.
Childhood
Chidinma said her parents separated when she was two years old and she started living with her uncle, Chijioke Obi, in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
She added that while growing up, her childhood ambition was to become either a musician or an actress.
The suspect stated, “My role models were Tiwa Savage, Beyonce, Rihanna, Genevieve, and Regina Hall. I schooled in Johnson Primary School and also a government primary school in Mushin. I later went to Sidman College in Sabo, Yaba. I was two-year-old when my parents separated, I was little, so while I was growing up, I stayed with my uncle, Mr Chijioke Obi, in Mushin. I don’t know if he bears Izu, but it was my uncle that trained me.”
Drug addiction
Upon completion of secondary school education, the suspect said she gained admission to study Mass Communication at the University of Lagos.
Asked about her assumed drug-induced lifestyle, Chidinma said, “I started smoking after I got into UNILAG.”
She also confirmed she’s the person in a trending video showing a lady puffing out cigarette smoke while soft music plays in the background.
She stated, “I am the one smoking in the trending video. I started smoking a few years ago. Old-time friends introduced me to it and we don’t talk anymore. Everything started after I entered UNILAG, but not actually when I am in school, it could be other places. But I am not the one in the other video (dissociating herself from another trending video showing a lady exhibiting her butt).”
Ataga took hard drugs, drank —Chidinma
On her relationship with Ataga, Chidinma described him as just a friend she met a few months back, faulting claims that he neither took hard drugs nor alcohol.
Narrating some of the moments she spent with the deceased, she said, “Mr Ataga was a friend and I don’t know how to elaborate more. He has not shown me pictures of his family but he sometimes acts like he was married and not that he is married (sic). I have met him up to four or five times; he takes drugs and drinks alcohol. It is not that I am trying to put anything together.’’
Also, the police said that on Thursday they released Chidinma’s father and the operator of the apartment where the incident happened, Mrs Nkechi Mogbo, on bail. The suspect’s father was arrested over what the police described as obstructing the arrest of her daughter while Mogbo had been in police custody after investigation identified her as the operator of the apartment.
Odumosu said, “Chidinma’s statement exonerated her father as she said that he was not aware of the incident. We released him. Also, the lady in our custody, one Mrs Nkechi Mogbo, who leased the flat from the property owner and used it for a service apartment, has been released on bail.
“After Magbo was arrested, she assisted the police because of the information she gave us. Now that we got the principal suspect, and the fact that the principal suspect confessed that she singularly committed the act, and equally went further to explain that she never met Nkechi Mogbo, but that she only phoned her and that they transacted all the business online, I have ordered her release on bail while we continue our investigation.’’ ,, Source: https://punchng.com/Exclusive-I-dont-want-to-die-alleged-killer-of-Super-TV-CEO-cries-out
