The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the Kogi West Senatorial supplementary election, Dino Melaye, has condemned the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Melaye described it as “Magic results.”

In a series of tweets, the former Senator vowed to contest the results, stressing that “illegality shall never stand.”

He wrote: “16 out of 24 units where the supplementary election was conducted today in Kabba/Bunu LG has been cancelled. This speaks volumes of the disaster called election.

“A situation where APC agents were the ones issuing INEC result sheets at the pooling units is phenomenal.

“I am very proud of the electorate in Kogi West. You voted me today but prepared results were already in place. We will fight to the end. illegality shall never stand. Magic results everywhere.- SDM.”

It was reported that Olayinde Lawal, the returning officer of the Saturday’s supplementary election had declared Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner at the poll.

The APC candidate got 88,373 votes to defeat Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his closest challenger, who polled 62,133 votes.

IgbereTV reports that former Abia State Governor and now Senator, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, said that Igbos are their own enemies and are not capable of leading Nigeria in 2023.

He said this in an interview made available to IgbereTV. He said:

"Igbos are their own worst enemies. Igbo are not only selfish, they also get their politics wrong. Let me tell you, there were more problems between (Asiwaju Bola) Tinubu and (Babatunde) Fashola than there were between me and TA (Theodore Ahamefule Orji). But it is the discipline of the Yorubas that kept them at bay."

"Igbos have no discipline in terms of politics. They are very good traders; they’re good in anything they do, but they don’t understand politics.”

"For 2023, I don't know what you mean by Igbo President. Asiwaju is more than capable of Govern Nigeria Prosperously."

Politics › Re: 2023: For Rejecting Third Term; Ohanaeze Ndigbo Set To Honor Buhari by Ekpeitit(m): 1:00pm On Nov 30, 2019
SaviMedia:
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) has said it will honour President Muhammadu Buhari for his refusal to vie for a third term as President.

OYC also called on Igbos and Nigerians to continue to support Buhari's administration, stressing that Mr President had shown uncommon courage to declare openly that he won't Seek third term in office which is the Hallmark of selflessness and patriotism of an African Leader.

In a statement signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President General of OYC and the Secretary General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, Ohanaeze Ndigbo said it will bestow on (Buhari) with the highest Igbo Prestigious Award reserved for non" Igbos and decorate him as Enyi Ukwu Ndigbo for rejecting third term bid openly, alongside with other Igbo illustrious sons and daughters.

Parts of the statement also reads that; "it's on record that during the 2019 Presidential elections, Ohanaeze Ndigbo declared support for President Muhammadu Buhari and improved his electorial fortunes in igboland unlike in 2015, and We don't have any regrets about it.

In the same development, "Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide and Coalition of Niger/Youth leaders said it paid a visit to the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dim Uche Okwukwu,at his countryside's Elele Rivers State, on the State of the Nation.

"During the visit, Coalition of Niger Delta Youth leaders forum successfully thanked Igbos for the massive support given to their son Former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 and 2015 general election, and assured Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide of their support and alliance for Nigerian President of Igbo stock which includes igbos from South/South, and gives a Stern warning to any tribe who goes contrary to popular aspirations of Nigerians that Power must shift from North to South in 2023 will put Nigeria on flames, as we abide on the wise counsel of our Elder statesman PA E.K. Clarke,Who had directed us to work in partnership with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide for the actualization of 2023 Igbo Presidency Project and we see that odds favours igbos in 2023, coalition of Niger Delta Youth leaders will lead the Igbo Presidency Project, because it's a Nigerian Project.

"Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council dismissed the report credited to one Charles Enya an Igbo APC Chieftain, seeking for third term for President and Governors  through constitutional amendment as idiotic, unconstitutional and parochial, as igbos disowned such immature moves as un-igbo and huge joke.

"On another  report also credited to  Acting Chairman of Arewa Consultative forum, Musa Liman Kwande on the North retaining Power beyond 2023, which kwande clarified that it's his personal opinion not the position of ACF, this development had prompted OYC to concluded arrangements by December for our next emergency meeting with Arewa Youth Consultantive forum and Coalition of Northern groups led by Alhaji Yerima Shettima and Mallam Abdul Azeez Sulaiman respectively on the issue of 2023, Niger/Delta Youths leaders had proven to be our closest confidant and partners in the 2023 Igbo Presidency project.

"As it stands now with support from Middlebelt Youths and Niger/Delta Youths leaders also championing zoning  Presidency to South East 2023, the coast is clearer for any Igbo to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari 2023, We still insists that Igbos should massively decamp to APC,to have a political balance in Igbo land, APC holds the key for the future for igbos in 2023 and urge the Governors of old Eastern Region to see the handwriting on the wall, and collapse PDP in the region, President Muhammadu Buhari rejecting third term bid openly is a demonstration that power is definitely coming to the South, and at the appropriate time he will support Igbo Presidency project as a Democrat.

Dino alleges that two representatives of governors El Rufai and Yahaya Bello, APC Chairman, a women leader and two judges met in Lagos to plot his downfall.
The plot will not stand says Dino.

Senator Dino Melaye had raised an alarm about the plot by Governors El Rufai and Yahaya Bello and other accomplices to ensure he fails in the forth coming Kogi west senatorial election rerun.

On his twitter page he wrote

“Meeting in Lagos today with 2 governors, APC chairman, two judges, a woman, rep of govs of Kaduna and Kogi.

“All because of Dino. I laugh because your counsel shall not stand. I have all the details. The Lord will laugh at you all in His sour displeasure. I ask again, why do the heathen rage?”.

INEC had rescheduled the rerun of the Kogi west senatorial election for tomorrow, 30th November, 2019.

How computer village came about
The present location of this market was a residential area until late 1999 or early 2000 when Internet technology became a household name in corporate Nigeria.

Knowing that a major industry was about to spring forth, savvy businessmen Igbo business men took position in the most vantage location of Ikeja – Otigba Street to commence trading in IT equipments and devices.

Senator Melaye shared the photo via his Twitter handle on Thursday night, just always after reports that he(Melaye) had urged the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to postpone the supplementary polls for Kogi West senatorial district coming up on Saturday.

Melaye will be going head to head with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Smart Adeyemi. It is unclear if the electoral commission will yield to Melaye’s demand and postpone the poll.

It is unclear where the photo was taken but Melaye while sharing the photo simply road; Sen Ike, my dad and I.

APC chieftain warns Oshiomhole – You’ll regret making Ize-Iyamu governor

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has been sternly warned against giving the party’s ticket for the 2020 governorship election in Edo state to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

A chieftain of APC in the state, Barr. Andrew Osawaru, gave the warning on Wednesday in a statement titled: “Adams Oshiomhole and his last macabre dance.”

https://www.naijanewsgist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Adams-Oshiomhole-APC-chieftain-warns-Oshiomhole-You%E2%80%99ll-regret-making-Ize-Iyamu-governor-300x200.jpg

He said Oshiomhole would be making the greatest mistake of his life, if he now decided to work with those who plotted to impeach him when he was governor of the state.

Osawaru noted that the state’s deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, whom Oshiomhole now sees as his betrayal, stood by him and fought the new friends of Oshiomhole with his blood.

He alleged that the new friends of Oshiomhole were the same people that led thugs to invade the House of Assembly in order to impeach him (Oshiomhole) but were resisted by Shaibu.

He noted that Oshiomhole may be the major loser as he would no longer have the formidable support he enjoyed from Edo North prior to the 2012 election, as he has betrayed his political son for those who plotted his impeachment.

He further alleged that these new friends have already perfected plans to pay the national chairman back in his coin for the humiliation they suffered from him when he held sway as the governor of the state.

According to him, “It is fast becoming evidently clear that after the next governorship election in Edo State, and obviously before the next Presidential election in Nigeria, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole would have been shoved into a state of political irrelevance.

“Edo state political gladiators are earnestly waiting for Comrade Oshiomhole to explain publicly, how a man whom he described on the 24th of July 2016, as a pathological liar and a dubious pastor that masterminded the looting of Edo state resources during the reign of Chief Lucky Igbinedion as the State Governor now suddenly turned a saint that can be accorded any political trust and relevance.

“While some people are already talking about Oshiomhole’s overbearing influence in the affairs of the state, others are talking about how he will be cut to size by his new found friends after handing over the party’s ticket to them.”

He said there is already uneasy calm among supporters of Gen. Charles Airhiavbere and Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and other members of the Edo Peoples Movement, on why Oshiomhole and others “will impose on the people, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu, who left the party.”

He added: “The battle may have just begun as the disintegration in the party will be full-blown in the days and weeks ahead as supporters of various aspirants, including Governor Godwin Obaseki’s supporters will want to outdo each other with series of blackmail that will involve sponsors/aspirants.

“Those who decamped with Pastor Ize-Iyamu claimed to have returned to occupy their former house, those who claimed to have built the house and stayed with Comrade Oshiomhole are flexing muscles to fight to finish, as the new decamped members cannot come and take over what they had earlier destroyed with lots of crises.

“While some people are already talking about Oshiomhole’s overbearing influence in the affairs of the state, with the imposition of over seven commissioners that were recently sacked, others are talking about how he will be cut to size by a man he once defamed, should the party ticket be handed over to Ize-Iyamu.

Latest News

“With the calculations ahead, Oshiomhole would be the major loser as he would no longer have the formidable support he enjoyed from Edo North prior to the 2012 election, as he has balkanized the party and betrayed his political son for marabouts.

“Worst still, those who recently decamped with Ize-Iyamu are those that fought Oshiomhole with lot of casualties at the House of Assembly and during the elections.”
