The Qur'an contains a fraction of what you said as it was revealed at a particular settings. And this is no lame excuse! The New testament talks about the birth of Jesus and a couple of months after. Then some verses around when he was 12. Then from 30-33 when he died! This is not what the Qur'an presents!
How come the things revealed about Muhammad were about enjoying women and how to amass wealth for himself?

God is One, an idea stolen from the Bible.
“ Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”- Deuteronomy 6:4

Arabs have always had multiple gods, the Kaaba was the home of the 360 idols of Mecca including Allah. Just like Mudir Markaz said, Allah has always been an idol before Muhammad was born. Mudir further asked, was it Muhammad that named his father Abdul Allah?

Just like the Quran said that Muhammad was lost in idolatry before he became a “prophet”, same was his father and grandfather and yet they were naming themselves after Allah

That is a lame excuse. How come there are many things in the Quran that has to do with personal affairs Muhammad especially things that had to do with his quarrels with his wives, his privileges to enjoy worldly things like women, and war booties?

I always know Reno Omokri is a manipulative creature.

Most of his followers don't even know he was married previously to another woman.

The words in quotes were very suspicious when I read them.

"My mother spoiled me. And I thought spoiling was over for me. Then, I married my wife and got another mother, a pure met-at-home lover. A woman who does not know how to quarrel".

So you transited from your mother to your current wife just like that? See how he deliberately chose to paint like he was not married before.

He has hidden his current wife from social media for many years.

Wife beater wey dey form table shaker.

Coward!! Na for woman you dey flex muscle.
We don’t know who is saying the truth between the first wife and Reno.

Statutory marriage is “me and my husband” everyone knows this. The husband was the one who didn’t act properly. To prevent what is happening, he should simply have written his will before he died and share his properties how we wished

I will not agree with you that the woman is selfish. If the law permits you to have 100% of something and you claim it, that does not make you selfish. The man who knew he would marry another woman should not have opted for statutory marriage ab initio. He was even lucky that the woman did not send him to jail for bigamy while he was alive. That will serve as a lesson to those who want to eat their cake and still retain the cake.

IslamRe: Appeal Court Rules On A Muslim Man Marrying A Christian Wife! by Ekrenji: 11:31am On Aug 30, 2024
AbuTwins:
A Court of Appeal sitting in Kano, last week, ruled that a marriage between a Muslim to a Christian lady does not nullify the religion of the husband.

In a unanimous ruling, the court said the fact that a Muslim married a woman with another religion is allowed, but cannot change the religion of the husband.

The court rulings follow an appeal against another judgement by an Appeal Court in Kwara state over the inheritance of an army Major who died while in service.

Late Major Mohammed Arogun Adeniyi died and left behind three wives, and his aged parents.

However, one of the wives, who is the first wife and a Christian approach the court that she was the only person with her children that has the right to the late Major Mohammed inheritance, excluding the other wives, and children, including the aged parents.

She approached the court to allow her and her children have all the decease’s inheritance according to Christianity laws.

The late Major during his life time had married two other women, Maimuna Mohammed, and Inna Fatima Mohammed according to Islamic laws, while the first wife, Evangelist Mrs Olabisi Mohammed was married under the Marriage Act.

The army promptly paid the late solider’s entitlements and gratuity, to the decease’s first daughter, Nike, as the next of kin.

The Appeal Court after listening to the submission of the learned counsel for the appellants, Tajudeen Oladoja SAN, ruled that the administration of estate of a person who lived and died as a Muslim, but married a Christian under the marriage act is governed by Islamic laws.

The deceased Major though married to his first wife under the marriage act, was born a Muslim and died as one and the late officer being a Muslim was rightly entitled to more than one wife, but not exceeding four at a given time, and he was also free to marry a Christian .The fact that the late Major Mohammed married a Christian under the marriage act does not mean he renounced his Islamic Faith. His subsequent marriages to Maimuna Mohammed and Inna Fatima Mohammed under the Islamic laws, were in consonance with his constitutional guarantee right. The court hereby accept the submission of the learned counsel that the inheritance of the late Major Mohammed is for all those he left behind, including his aged parents.

Summary of the Court Ruling

A Kano Court of Appeal recently ruled that:

- A Muslim marrying a Christian does not change the husband's religion.
- The ruling was made in response to a case regarding the inheritance of Late Major Mohammed Arogun Adeniyi.

Key Details of the Case:

1. Background:
- Late Major Mohammed had three wives:
1. Evangelist Mrs. Olabisi Mohammed (first wife, married under the Marriage Act)
2. Maimuna Mohammed (married under Islamic law)
3. Inna Fatima Mohammed (married under Islamic law)
- He passed away while in service, leaving behind his wives and aged parents.

2. Appeal:
- The first wife, a Christian, sought exclusive rights to the late Major's inheritance for herself and her children based on Christian laws.

3. Court's Findings:
- The court determined:
- The deceased was a Muslim at birth and death, and his marriages were lawful under Islamic law.
- A Muslim can marry a Christian and still retain their Islamic faith.
- Inheritance matters for a Muslim who married under the Marriage Act are governed by Islamic laws.
- The court ruled that all parties, including the aged parents, have rights to the inheritance.

4. Outcome:
- The army paid the late soldier's entitlements to his first daughter Nike as the next of kin.
- The court confirmed that the late Major's estate is to be distributed among all his heirs, including his wives and parents.

May we never use our hand to do ourselves!
The evil that men do truly lives after them!
May Allah grant us success!
In statutory marriage, only one wife is recognized. The man should not have married in the court. The first wife is right, only her marriage is recognized by the law. This is not about emotion

Sheer nonsense!

Your previous posts were all about the joys of nepotism, nothing more. Why? because you are obviously a beneficiary of nepotism in real life.

You wrote a lot of garbage earlier about how 'even in employment, biological children of staff members are given priority over others', amongst a lot of other nonsense. In the dimly lit cave you inhabit, the only criterion for success is to be the offspring of a person in authority. undecided

You will never know the joy (or the pain) of striving for a position or a place on your own...and succeeding (or failing) to get it. You will never know it. Why? Because nepotism is your creed. It is your philosophy. It is your religion.

Deal with it.

^^^
cheesy

At least you are no longer coming up with insane, completely mental analogies between the human circulatory system and the raw, unfiltered nepotism you celebrate.

People like you will never understand that the proper thing for Ariwoola Senior to have done would have been to recuse himself. Ariwoola Senior should have recused himself from chairing the NJC panel that recommended Ariwoola junior and those 22 other individuals to be high court judges. That's what forward thinking people with a measure of integrity do. You will never get it because you are incapable of doing so.

Nepotism is not a sustainable strategy for coping with life. It lasts only as long as your father (or mother or whoever your benefactor is) lives. Once their earthly race is run, what happens to you? undecided

Peace.

I’ve said my own. You can continue ranting there.
If you are fortunate enough to get to the position of leadership, deny your children their rightful post if they qualify for it. Foolishness runs in your life and your life is void that is why you write meaningless epistles all the time. I have better things to do with my time than to be responding to foolish rants.

Henceforth you can continue your soliloquies, I won’t respond to the rants of lunacy anymore. Bye

You don't get it...and you never will.
And you will never get it too.

When you are privileged to occupy the position of leadership, use all your might to suppress your children and deny them what they qualify for just because you want to please the world.
At the end of the day you will realize that even if you die for the world, many of them will still blame you for wasting your life.

Peace.
As I said earlier, you can only be seen to be rational in your write up if you can provide evidence that Ariwoola’s was not qualified for the position he got promoted to. If you can’t, then shut the hell up. Peace out ✌🏻

This won't get us anywhere. I genuinely want to know first of all, what the requirements for the job are...and if the son met these requirements - over and above other candidates.

The fact that there is a biological relationship means that any appointment such as this will invite extra scrutiny - and that is the way it should be. This isn't the time to play around with words like you are trying to do.

If Ariwoola's son is the man for the job and his suitability is clear to all, then the matter is settled. If his suitability has not been demonstrated beyond all doubt then we will ask questions - as we should.

^^^
undecided

This is not official policy.

I know this 'oga pikin' syndrome is a thing but the extent varies considerably. Years ago, there was something called the VC's List (plus Dean's List, plus HoD's List etc.) for admissions - until Senate members in some universities said "to hell with that nonsense"! and the admissions list became a lot more meritocratic. There are universities today where it is much, much harder to get admission or employment just because your parents are staff members. There are even some universities today that actually have long term plans for an admissions list that is 100% meritocratic. It will take time but it will happen.

^^^
Well...you can see the results of the 'esprit de corps', 'man know man', 'na where man dey work na there him dey chop' philosophy in our security architecture today. Kidnappers, bandits, killers, terrorists and all sorts of non-state actors have ordinary Nigerians in a chokehold...because we value connections over competence.

The results are clear.

^^^
Terrible analogy! Terrible, terrible non-existent analogy!

Your point would be valid if the heart had its own 'offspring' that it pumps blood to before supplying other organs. If that were true then a case could be made for the children of staff to get preferential treatment. But that isn't how it works in the human body - there are no privileged 'mini hearts' lying around waiting to get blood supply before any other organs. And if it doesn't work that way in the human body, it probably won't work that way in a university or any establishment modelled along the lines of the human body.
If you can’t provide proof that the son of the former cjn was not qualified for the position he was given then there is no need for all these long epistles

The question is...did he meet the rquirements? Over and above all other candidates?
Did he not meet the requirements over and above other candidates?

Is this an official policy in Nigerian universities? Are you telling me there is an officially approved quota for lecturer 'pikin' dem?
Yes. Even in employment, biological children of staff members are given priorities over others

In military and para military, there is espirit the corps

In medical practice, health workers and their family are prioritized etc

Let us start from there. These 'scratch my back I scratch yours', 'man know man' practices should be condemned - be they in the universities or the judiciary.
That is natural, even the heart that pumps blood to other parts of the body supply itself first before pumping to other organs

Rubbish, so if his son met the requirements he should be denied the appointment because of his father?

In the university, biological children of lecturers are given priority over others for admission, so it is in other aspect of public service. So if you can’t condemn those ones, then don’t condemn this
