Pls oh i need ya help..my little Lo body is pealing, his jst 3weeks.i was using Shea butter nd cocount oil on him bf.pls mum's what will i use on him to get rid of it asap. Same happened with my baby, i didnt use anything and it just cleared on its own. But at that time i was using shea butter to moisturize his body so i cant really tell if that was what made it go, afterwhich my baby's real complexion came out. I guess it's normal. |

babythug: Looks a bit similar to what is generally termed or grouped under baby excema and is fairly common as far as I know.
Just keep it well moisturized it should eventually fade off.
Shea butter would help. Some mums have been know to use that red acalypha leaf to bathe babies with the condition with good results, remember I only said bathe not drink oh! The leaves are usually sold by those women who sell herbs and the likes. I don't advice using any topical creams because he's a baby! Watch for a few more weeks - maybe two weeks, if no improvement then let's try a paed! Thank you for this swift response. I'll try shea butter, i pray it works. |

babythug: Let's see a picture, someone may have the direct experience and be able to advice. But if you're really worried your best bet is a skin dr.
I feel the use of Shea butter would Blend the colours eventually anyway.
Calamine lotion as far as I know is for relieving itchy skin! Cc babythug and other mothers |

Hello house, my DD has 2 colours on his face(black and a slightly fair colour) i thought it would even out since it followed a pattern(the part close to his ears are dark while his cheeks are slightly fair. But my MIL has been worrying about it and told me to use Kalamine Lotion. Wanna know pls, do i need to use anything on it or just let it be. Is it something to worry about? I have stopped using lotion on his face and use only oil. |

TashaStPatrik: Mamas good evening. Plz help!! My 5weeks old baby never seems to be satisfied. She can suck for Africa, untop that one, my mom suggested Abidec for "strong bones and digestion" according to mama. With that, the sucking has increased by 20degrees.. My breast is almost as flat as the ground. Am thinking of introducing her to formular. Plz I need help on what to do or how to take care of this situation. Biko Biko I need advice from fellow young/new moms. For the sake of my boobs.. God bless you as you speak. Your last sentence got me . I also feel like my boobs are flat sometimes. Are you lactacting well? My baby also sucks non-stop when he is not getting enough milk, he'll just keep holding onto the boobs waiting for the milk to come out well and when it doesnt, he keeps crying. I figured the reason milk wasnt coming out well was because i wasnt eating well, so i upped my food intake and we are good. |

spiceeamiee:
just that I'm desperate to try anything that will bring her relief Hello spiceeamiee, how is your DD now? My son also had that grunting thing for a while and i think it was colic. He would struggle to release gas and infact for 2 straight nights he didnt sleep. He would cry, feed, play, cry again and even the almighty breast could not soothe him. I got infacol, i dont know if it worked but just to satisfy my sister-in-law( since there wasno side effects to it). It kinda stopped and resurfaced again 2 days ago but i try not be bothered about it since it is a phase that will definitely end. Dont worry ehnn, ur dd can withstand the pain, it is part of growing and she'll be fine in no time |

Giddyperson: I really don't know. You said it might be something in your water but our own water is clean. The stains on mine look dark blue. Like gv. It drives me crazy and only happens once in a while. How long do you keep the clothes before washing tho. Do you wash as soon as they are dirty I dont wash them immediately tho, like after 3/4 days. |

Giddyperson: lmao is it by force to have issue. Just kidding. I meant to reply that post dunno what happened. There was a time I experienced the same thing. I couldn't understand why there were black stains on face towels and I even thought MIL has started putting pko in my baby's mouth again. But it turned out to be just breastmilk. Don't even know why it happens cuz it doesn't happen everytime. Maybe it depends on what one eats. I put some detergent with one cap of hypo in a bucket of water then I soak overnight, usually takes out the stain or most of it Hypo is not working for me. And now i have to throw some clothes away cuz seeing dt stain annoys me. I'll just buy more coloured clothes going forward till i stop seeing d stains. You think what i take in may be responsible for the stain? |

Hello mamas, please does breastmilk leave a lasting stain on clothes? My baby's clothes have this brown stains that have refused to go, even with hypo and jik. Now i suspect that the water mixes with the milk and leaves a stain, cuz the water in my area is not good. But i try to make sure i fill the bucket with water and soap before putting the clothes in so i can pour it out if the water is not clean. And the funny thing is i dont see this stain while washing, it only comes out when the clothes have dried. Please is there anything i can use to remove these very tough stains?? |

Giddyperson: my hairdresser told me that if I wash it stuff might accumulate at the root and it won't look nice again. Don't know how true that is. Would ve really liked to wash it before resuming at work I washed mine once every month then, and the older it was, the finer it became. |

kelizosuy: Sabi mamas I hail oh.This talk about choking hand inside someone's body to clean after delivery is doing me gra gra in my body oh. Sisteh just calm down o. Really its not as bad as you think it is, or maybe i'm one of those that didnt find all that hand chooking, membrane sweeping thing painful. Not that u wont feel some sorta pain o, but once the hand gets to where it is going u dont feel anything, atleast that was how i felt. Plus often times, we already have that mindset that the thingy is painful so even when it could have just been a smooth ride inside, we will be shaking body and then start screaming lol. I rmbr when doc wanted check how far gone i was, i was scared, he just told me to be calm and that it wasnt painful. I moved and screamed while the hand was going in but it wasnt cuz of the the pain per say but cuz i was already scared. Seriously, it aint that bad. And that cleaning of stomach thing, i dont even remember jack aswear. All i know is i had my baby and every other pain sunk. A pad was put in to pack blood but e no pain. Amean, a whole baby just came out of me what is a small pad . Just chill ehnn and enjoy the ride, dont let nothing scare you. |
