Baba nawa oo, against the big teams you're talking about did you forget we were playing on the counter and they didn't need to do much offensively? We are talking about teams that park the bus against us where they don't need much defending to do but much to offer in attack.
Let us play matches before these analysis. All analysis now are subjective. The sample of matches is too small.

An interesting Goal article about United form post lock down
'Wan-Bissaka and Shaw key to Manchester United's impressive post-lockdown form'
See the full article here
Cc: elampiro
What about our form before pre-lockdown when we have great results against the big teams? They were not key?

elampiro i'm sure Mourinho's taktiks in this game was to control possession and allow VAR cancel Kane's goal while he allows Sheffield do all the scoring.
This is childish. When Mourinho beat West Ham after we had the argument, why did you not bring that game for discussion?

Unless the SC has made another ruling, otherwise, based on this particular Uche Nwosu's case;

Section 37 of the Electoral Act 2010 prohibits multiple nomination of a candidate and voids nomination of a candidate who knowingly allows him/herself to be nominated by more than one political party or constituency.

Nwosu participated in the APC Primaries of October 6, 2018...where he was nominated as the winner and candidate of the party.

Following agitations from members of his party (especially, the Abuja wing), on October 9..he got a valid order from the High Court of the FCT (under Valentine Ashi, now late) recognising him as APC's candidate for the 2019 elections.

Because the Abuja opposition was stiff, he was offered the AA ticket, which he got without first resigning from the APC.

Now correlate same with Obaseki's and answer the questions yourself;

A. Did Obaseki participate in the Primaries of the APC?
B. Did Obaseki or his people allude to winning the Primaries?
C. Did Obaseki get a valid court order stating he won the Primaries?
D. Did Obaseki resigns before participating in the Primaries of another Political Party?

There you have your answer(s).
Thanks

You are a candidate of two parties.

Nwosu had won the APC Primaries in Imo State, but there were two factions of the party. Sensing that the other faction had the backing of Abuja, he back-pedalled and went to the AA, and got a valid ticket to contest.

The SC simply said he already had a valid ticket in APC, hence, he cannot get another again.
Can you help relate this to the Obaseki's case being that he did not win the APC primary unlike Nwosu?

With the way we're playing now, it's a matter of time before the assists start coming for Shaw. Infact from the review of yesterday's game, he was unlucky not to get one.
When your team is playing well, even a fullback like Buttner gives Assist. Buttner gave 3 Assists and 2 goals from 28 matched he played for United.

It mostly depends on quality of the forwards

I think I get to exit now. My point is, these players have always been good. I spent years here defending Matic every transfer windows since two years ago. I am not swayed by current games. I know players who circumstance affects their current deep in form. This is why when people are saying sell, sell, I stand by their individual abilities based on my assessment even if we are losing. Another player I also defended is Bissaka.

Currently people are saying Fred is just all over the place. That was because Matic had a very good game against Spurs. Matic had been doing things like this when we lost some games, but when people think Pogba and Herrera should be selected first, they go after Matic. Or when they think Pogba and McTominay should start.

We are still going to play many matches next season. Then we will all understand that we will need players like Fred.

Whether you'll like to admit it or not, our fullbacks have improved their attacking play in the final third. It's visible to the blind.
Luke Shaw, zero Assists in the league.

The truth is they always played this way, only the whole team messed everyone up. Even Maguire was called useless few weeks back.

Matic can give you a fantastic half a season and that is about 22/38 EPL games, he did it for Chelsea in 14/15 and 16/17 title winning seasons and did it for us in 17/18 season when we finish 2nd. It's very clear that whenever Matic is in form the team wins lots of matches. He is 32 now, and I bet we will get 2 to 3 more good seasons off him. When you win matches and stay at the driving seat it give you confidence and you can manage the rest of the season from there with other player
I remembered early before the start of this season, I suggested we keep Matic, many wanted to lynch me and some were laughing at me. Lol
Everyone knows I was the number 1 defender of Matic and I was called names. But what I am saying is that Fred is not irrelevant now because of Matic. I also stayed behind Bissaka.

Also, I was only one of the few who never wanted Ole out.

Oga they've improved joor the Bruno effect nonetheless.
Forget that thing. They are playing same way as they used to. They are being provided better options with more quality movements. They do not always have to cross as before. Now they have an option of crossing and passing to someone in the box.

The whole team has been playing better. The availability of Martial and Rashford same time, McTominay returned from injury, Matic returned. All at the time Fred was playing his best football. Then Bruno arrived.

The fullbacks had at least 2 assists in our last 2 EPL games and created a host of chances. It’s part of the problem.
So did we buy new fullbacks?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 7:59am On Jul 01, 2020
The number 10 position, the 'hole' was our major issue. This I said before. Then the other attackers who were meant to be creating. We used Perreira or Lingard or Mata in the number 10 and they had their individual shortcomings. We played James and Lingard/Mata/Pereira along behind Rashford. The only time we scratched something good out was when both Martial and Rashford were fit together, and when McTominay was fit to pair Fred. Martial and Matic were mostly injured.

But here some put the blame in the wrong places. Today they blamed the fullbacks. Tomotrow it is midfielders. Next tomorrow it is defence. Whereas the issue was the AM (10), AMR, and sometimes AML.

How many 'high tempo' teams do we have in the league? Maybe 4 or 5 at most. Real Madrid's midfield would sometimes struggle against Barcelona and Atletico, but they would eviscerate other teams with so much ease. Matic- Pogba- Bruno midfield combination may not perform at 100% against few sides, but they would surely do well against almost all the small teams which we've found difficult to break down all season.

I will admit Pogba is suspect at ball recoveries, tackles and interception, but Kroos, Modric, Xavi, Iniesta, DeBruyne are CMs who were never known for any of such defensive qualities.

I want to ask you what kind of United team do you want? Do you prefer a 'compact', defensively solid team that finds it hard to break down opponents or do you want a United team that is feared because of the creativity and firepower and general quality of the team. We need to move from the Mourinho years, don't you think?
Until we play many matches before we know. Matic naturally gets weak as the season progress. The high tempo teams are more in the EPL. Let us just wait and see what happens

Seeing that I am one of the biggest critic of Wan-Bissaka here, it is only fair that I applaud for his contribution to our attack in the past few games.

Elampiro, I hope you can see the effect of a good supporting cast? Shaw is bombing forward as is Wan-Bissaka and you have Bruno and Pogba pushing high up the pitch to good effect. Maguire and Lindelof occupy the DM position when we attack not like in time past where they all sit back waiting for our strikers to do all the work.
It goes back to my initial arguments that the full backs were not the issues. Our major issue was the number 10, and the other forwards.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 10:20pm On Jun 30, 2020
When I read such comments as midfield is not about running around as Fred does, I think may be we have forgotten that we are not playing same quality of opponents as we did before the break. We are still playing opponents where mistakes made are not punished with a quick attack against us.

Midfielders are different. Kante is all over the place. But some others are not.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 10:17pm On Jun 30, 2020
Three points. Fight for top 4 stoll on. But I am not yet convinced that the dou of Pogba and Matic are our best combination midfield. They will do well in certain matches, but not sure they would have done as good as what with saw with Fred and Matic/McTominay before the break. I am not saying those ones are better, but I will be watching for more combination of midfielders in different situations.

Yes. I know that is why you liked the goal so much. You value pacy football a lot cheesy
Not exactly, there was plenty of intelligence in that goal. It is not easy to execute such a swift counter with few touches from box to box and the ball is in the net. There has to be accuracy and precision. Proper decision making too.

As for pace, I will be watching out this midfield ability against a high tempo team like Leicester, Liverpool. First let us see how they fare against Chelsea in the FA cup

Rashford is tracking back. Matic and Pogna cover less ground thereby forcing Rashford and Greenwood to help by sometimes playing deep.
