Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State says he is aware that 67 per cent of Christians in southern Kaduna will not vote for him in the governorship election even if he picks the Pope as his running mate.

He added that there was a need for competence to be given priority ahead of religion and ethnicity, hence his decision to run with a Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 2019 governorship election.


El-Rufai, who was a guest on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily programme on Thursday, said Nigeria ought to divorce religion from politics.

The governor, who is a Muslim, had come under harsh criticisms from the Christian Association of Nigeria and other interests groups for picking a Muslim as running mate.

El-Rufai, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, said even his outgoing deputy, Yusuf Bala Bantex, who is a Christian, was treated like an outcast because he was in the APC.


Defending his action, however, el-Rufai said, “What if I tell you that no matter who I choose as my running mate, even if I choose the Pope, 67 per cent of the Christians in southern Kaduna have made up their minds that they will never vote for me.

“This is what the polls show.

“So, for me, that is not the issue. The issue is this: Kaduna State is divided, it needs to be united. The way to begin to unite it is to take religion or ethnicity off the table.


“Since 1992, every deputy governor of Kaduna has been a Christian. What has it done for the state? Has it united the state? Has it assuaged the feelings of the Christian minority?

“My current deputy governor is a Christian and I didn’t pick him because he is Christian. I picked him because we were colleagues from university and I know him to be a brilliant, focused and just man. But, did that change anything?


“In fact, what it did was to bring disrespect to him. No one respected him in southern Kaduna because he is in what they call an Islamic party.

“So, there are complicated issues in Kaduna, which people sitting from a distance will not understand.”

The governor said his choice of a female Muslim running mate would help Kaduna State to see beyond politics and religion.


El-Rufai said the federal character principle in Nigeria was stifling development.

He said although his decision to pick a Muslim running mate was unpopular in some quarters, he was confident of winning the polls come March.

The governor said information made available to him showed that the Peoples Democratic Party, which ruled the state for 16 years, never won any election in the state but always rigged its way into power.


He added, “I want to assure you. One, I want to win this election so I am not going to take a foolish decision to make any point. I want to win the election for my party and the President.

“Those that are making the argument that I must have a Christian running mate have not been able to justify it, based on history.


“From 1992, we have had more violence in Kaduna than before. The presence of a Christian deputy did not change anything.

“Even when a Christian, Patrick Yakowa, of blessed memory, was governor, it did not stop the violence, the intolerance and the insensitivity. In fact, it exacerbated it.

“In Kaduna, in my view, the way to heal and unite the state is to completely remove religion and ethnicity from the state; but we cannot change three decades of intolerance in the state.”

#Zakzaky: Peaceful Posture Not Sign of Weakness

The fact that the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky chose to remain peaceful is not a sign of weakness. The leading Opposition Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has commended the call by the Borno Elders Forum, on President Buhari, to stop the practice of releasing the so called `repentant’ Boko Haram terrorists.

Mr Abubakar in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by his media aide, Paul Ibe, said that he aligned himself with the elders. Mr Abubakar said he was vindicated, because twice in 2018, he gave the same advice to the president.

“It makes no military or practical sense to release hardened terrorists, who have taken the precious lives of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, on the flimsy excuse that they have been de-radicalised or repentant.’’ he concluded

Imperialism is a system in which a rich and powerful country controls the instrument of leadership and by extension the resources of other less powerful countries, or a desire for control over other countries.

Imperialism and neo-colonialism are two faces of the same coin. Due to intense pressure from Nationalists, greedy European colonialists were forced to leave Africa but they never left. They later engineered coups and counter-coups to impose their puppets to facilitate their continue looting of African resources.

Dear Friends, please check the mineral resources map of the African continent. Africa is among the riches continent in terms of resources but Africans are the poorest continent in the world. The question is why? The rich African resources are being looted by the greedy imperialist directly or via their lackeys who are head of government of African countries.

My country, Nigeria, is rich in mineral resources that included Crude Oil but today Nigeria is the extreme capital of the whole world. The Funds that should have been used for developmental purposes were looted by corrupt leaders and deposited in Western financial institutions for safe keeping. Nigeria that is a country of more than 180 million in population can only provide 4,000MW of electricity. Funds earmarked for power were looted and there is no single person in jail for that.

They were expecting members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria to reciprocate and be saying "Sunni Kafir" or even "Wahhabi Kafir" but that never happened. Members of the Islamic Movement continue to promote and propagate the true teachings of Islam. They continue to chin out the eternal and unmatchable words of Imam Ali (as) - words that are only surpassed by the Quran and sayings of the seal of all Prophets and Messenger of God (sa).

When the notorious Child-killer and mass grave digger Elrufai recruited Shia traitors and asked them to question the authenticity of the Shia-ness of members of the Islamic Movement, they were not dignified with an answer. Adeyanju Deji - Hero of Freedom

We fixed an appointment. We did not used the phones because all our phone lines were bugged by the oppressive and tyrannical Buhari regime. A regime of wicked mass murderers and notorious Child-killers.

I arrived Abuja for the appointment. I made contact with Prince Adeyanju Deji. He told me he is at the Venue of the Daily #FreeZakzaky Sit-down protest. I proceeded to the protest venue. I saw Adeyanju Deji given speech in Hausa Language about the illegal and unlawful detention of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his injured wife. We waited until the end of the day event then he came towards me. We finally met. We embraced with tears in both our eyes. It was the tears of brotherhood that was created since the creation of Adam and Eve. I said "Thank you, we are grateful of your support!"

Other members of the Free Sheikh Zakzaky campaign committee were also there. Sheikh AbdulRahman Yola, Dr Shuaibu Musa, Muhammad Ibrahim Gamawa etc were all there. They were happy to see me again since my return for 3 months stay in Iran.

We left the venue with Adeyanju Deji and he insisted he will take us out for Lunch before our meeting. He took us to a Restaurant with good Nigerian Dishes. We all ate. Then we moved to the business of the day.

President Buhari was then on medical tourism in London. Adeyanju Deji suggested that we take the Free Sheikh Zakzaky campaign to his door step in London. One thing President Buhari is scared of is international attention. This wicked mass murderer love to slaughter innocent and defenseless women and children in the Deep land of Zaria and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves at night.

We instantly planned the protest. Adeyanju Deji made contact with some Nigerians who are based in London for their support. They gave their full support. A Free Sheikh Zakzaky protest will be stage in front of the house President Buhari is staying in London from night till mourning for three days. The tyrant will not sleep for wickedly disobeying the judgement of a Nigerian court.

Adeyanju Deji and two members of the Islamic Movement will leave Nigeria for UK to coordinate the protest. He suggested that I should be one of the two. I told him that is not possible as my broken leg has not healed. I asked about Visa? He said the then British Ambassador to Nigeria is his close friend. He said we will contact the BBC to fully cover the protest.

We made a rough estimate that the program will cost 5,000 British Pounds. I promised to make contacts and raised the money within that short period of time. When we are about to depart Adeyanju Deji said the Evil tyrant Buhari will arrest us when he return to Nigeria. I told him that it will be a great honor to share the same prison with him.

And we parted. This was how I first met this Hero of Freedom. A Christian, A true follower of Jesus (as). The fact that he is presently in the dungeon of the wicked mass murderer tyrant Buhari underlined his justice-seeking credentials.

From the Photo the Lady you are seeing with the Nigerian army chief Buratai was a Spy for the Nigerian regime in the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. Her name is Hajiya Rabi. She hails from Mararraban Jos, Kaduna state. She was one of the Spies planted in the Movement by government for a very long time. At some point, she was one of the closest Aides to the wife of Sheikh Zakzaky. However, she disappeared mysteriously from the Movement shortly before the #ZariaGenocide.

She was a sleeping mole planted by the regime inside the Movement. Those shameless rascals that blocked the road for the Nigerian army chief Buratai were also moles in the Movement. The Buhari regime needed an Alibi to attack the Movement, eliminate the leading lights of the Movement and destroy the Iconic Zaria Husseiniya. Their moles in the Movement gave them the Alibi by blocking the road. None of them was killed and no one charged with road blockade by the Buhari Regime. The brutal and inhuman Zaria genocide was pre-planned with set goals and objectives. It was executed using the foolish pretext of "road blockade". This underlined the thuggish nature of those that executed the Zaria genocide. When did road blockade lead to the murder of more than one thousand innocent children, women and men?

The Spy, Hajiya Rabi, got millions of Naira from them and she joined politics and contested for a seat in the House of Representatives. She lost in the party primaries after spending huge money. Now she is mostly seen in the company of the Nigerian army chief Buratai and Kaduna state Governor Elrufai.

Last year some youths called one of the members of the #FreeZakZaky campaign committee that they want to see him for an important issue. They introduced themselves but he knew no one of them but because they said the issue is important he asked them to meet him in a neutral venue. When they came they told him that they had secured enough weapons to start eliminating the murderous criminals who executed the Zaria genocide. He asked them who gave them the weapons? They were silent. He asked them who ordered them? They were silent. He told them that government agents gave them those weapons and the same people will come and arrest them, then parade them as terrorists working to kill people for the Movement. He told them that we do not kill people and that they should return those weapons to the person that gave them.

There are many Hajiya Rabis in the Movement. Members of the Islamic Movement should be very careful of these spies and moles of the enemy. They plant them to achieve certain objectives. The murderous terrorists who executed the Zaria genocide had failed and they failed woefully without realizing any of their objectives but they are presently desperate. We should be careful.

I was informed that Australia sent an Envoy to the Buhari regime to ask what is their problem with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.

On 12th - 14th December, 2015, President Buhari sent the Nigerian army and they brutally murdered 1000+ members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria that included hundreds of women and children in less than 72 hours in Zaria. And after they they dumped the dead bodies in mass graves at night to bury the evidences.

The Nigerian army perpetrated all forms of heinous crimes against humanity known to man. They burnt innocent children alive. They buried Shia children alive in Mando mass grave according to Amnesty International. They bombed the iconic Zaria Husseinya which was a religious site and murdered hundreds of worshippers.

There are witnesses to all these heinous crimes and atrocities against innocent and defenseless civilians. To this day no single person arrested for these crimes. Those they arrested were the survivors. They fraudulently charged them to court for Murder!

The brutal and inhuman massacre did not end in Zaria. After that whenever the Islamic Movement organize religious programs and activities, the Buhari regime will send the Nigerian army and police to attack and kill the innocent. In December, 2016, a Federal High Court In Abuja freed Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his injured wife from the illegal and unlawful detention but the tyrannical and oppressive Buhari regime contemptuously refused to obey the judgement of the court.

Just last month the Islamic Movement in Nigeria organized the #Arbaeen procession in Abuja. The Arbaeen is a Shia religious event that has a global participation. I saw videos and pictures of Arbaeen procession in Australia. But the Nigerian army attacked the Abuja Arbaeen procession and killed more than 60 Civilians. The Nigerian army then fraudulently claimed that they were attacked by the mourners. The New York Times recently released a comprehensive video that totally debunked the fraudulent claims of the Nigerian army. The video shows that the Elite Presidential guard used battlefield weapons to attack the peaceful Shia mourners.

The Islamic Movement is close to 40 years of existence and is peaceful. Why all these massacres and killings of it members by the Nigerian security forces? The same Buhari regime that is killing unarmed members of the Islamic Movement is the same Regime that has freed more than one thousand #BokoHaram terrorists. The same regime that paid more than 10 million dollars to BokoHaram using the fraudulent pretext of ransom.

We hope the Australian government will invite leaders of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria to hear their own side of the story. The Australian government should also invite officials of the Nigerian Amnesty international for details on these brutal killings.

A Member of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sister Jummai Karofi, went to the Iranian Embassy in Nigeria for Visa. The Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria had a meeting with her. The Iranian Ambassador told her that the Islamic Movement should reconcile with the Buhari regime.

The question we ask how do one reconcile with wicked mass Murderers who brutally slaughtered your children and wickedly dumped their dead bodies in mass graves at night to bury the evidences? During the brutal and inhuman #ZariaGenocide Five (5) Children of Sister Jummai Karofi were brutally murdered by the Nigerian army under order from President Buhari. Three of them were University Graduates while the other two were Undergraduates. To this day she has not seen their dead bodies. Sister Jummai was also showered with bullets at the residence of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. More than six bullets hit her. After multiple surgeries she still have bullet on her body.

We never declared war on the Buhari regime. They declared war against us. Butchered more than one thousand of our members that included hundreds of women and children and dumped their bodies in mass graves. They then abducted the survivors and fraudulently charged them with murder! Please tell me the Evil greater than this?

PRESS STATEMENT

*Kano CP Threatens To Kill Free Zakzaky Protesters*

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has revealed that the Kano state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf has confided to some members of the Movement that he will not hesitate to use force on them whenever they come out on their peaceful Free Zakzaky protest in his area of jurisdiction.

This was made known to newsmen in a press statement released by Ibrahim Musa, the President Media Forum of the Islamic Movement, on Thursday 27/12/18.

The Movement believed that the Kano CP meant to kill the protesters, when he said he will use force on them, since that is what happened when he used his force on members of the Islamic Movement in 2016 and 2017 during the yearly Arbaeen trek in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Husain, the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad.

Below is the press statement in full:

On Wednesday 19th December, 2018, the Kano State Police Commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf invited some members of the Islamic Movement to his office and bluntly threatened to use maximal force against them should they dare to henceforth defy his orders never again to conduct a Free Zakzaky protest in the state.

The Islamic Movement has decided to go public on the issue of this threat of the use of force, despite the fact that it will not in anyway break our resolve and we are not in anyway shaken by this latest threat.

The same CP had on Monday 14/11/2016 sent a detachment of policemen to open fire on thousands of members of the Islamic Movement who were peacefully marching during the Arbaeen religious festival, killing at least 40 people. Till this day, only 18 corpses handed over to us were duly buried according to Islamic rites, the rest were buried secretly by the police. Again on Sunday, 05 November, 2017, the same CP sent a police unit to use live bullets during yet another Arbaeen trek killing at least 3 persons, including an infant.

It is surprising that the CP would toe this line only some moments after the President warned the police against unprofessional conducts such as illegal detentions, extra judicial killings, torture and violation of fundamental human rights at the convocation and passing out parade of the First Regular Cadet Course at the Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State. This recent outburst of the CP clearly goes contrary to the President's rhetoric that ''We must abide by the constitutional code of conduct in policing our people. It is appropriate to warn you as Police Officers not to see yourselves as being above the Law.”

Free Zakzaky protest is our unassailable right as enshrined in the constitution. The provisions of Sections 38 and 39 of 1999 constitution guarantees our right to congregate peacefully, which is what we have been doing since the illegal detention of our leader Sheikh Zakzaky on 14th December, 2015.

Besides, there is a recent ruling of a Kano state High Court that affirmed the right of Shiites to organise their processions in so far as they are peaceful and do not infringe on the rights of other people. The recent video evidence by the New York Times however has conclusively proved that our processions are usually peaceful, don't block the free flow of traffic but are attacked by security forces without provocation.

To this end, we call on the public and in particular the international community to prevail upon the Commissioner of police to thread cautiously in his inordinate hatred against peaceful unarmed protesters. He must be called to order not to carry out his senseless threat to kill innocent unarmed citizens who are exercising their right to peaceful protest as guaranteed by the constitution.

If the CP and his superiors are uncomfortable with incessant free Zakzaky protests, are advised to do the needful to obey a 2016 court judgement freeing our leader, Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife from their illegal incarceration. Only this will bring an end to the protest and not threats or intimidations. Threats will only strengthen our resolve to fight for our Rights and protect them.

The Palestinian Resistance forces are more stronger today and united. The fraudulent "Deal of the century" of US President Trump is dead on arrival and will not even be considered by the Palestinians. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine and one million #Trumps can not be able to change this. The Zionist regime is a Cancerous tumor that is the source of all conflicts in the Middle East.

On a final note, we oppose Western imperialism as we will not accept that a few people control the world and it resources. All humanity have the right for a decent living and right to control their destiny. The notion that some lives are more superior than some is a fraudulent Imperialism creation to facilitate their looting of the resources of other nation. My attention was drawn to the recently released UK foreign office Travel Advisory on Nigeria ahead of the February 2019 general elections.

An excerpt from the Advisory stated:

"The FCO also warned of potentially-violent protests by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) ahead of the February 2019 elections."

This is not correct. All protest by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria are peaceful. All of them! Except those attacked by the Nigerian army and police. The Islamic Movement do not organize violent protest and that is why members of the Islamic Movement take their wives and children to protest marches.

During the recent #Arbaeen procession in Nigeria, the Nigerian army after killing more than 60 Shia mourners lied that they were attacked. The New York Times later released a comprehensive video of the procession that shows the contrary claims of the Nigerian army. It was the Nigerian army that attacked the peaceful procession and used battlefield weapons to murder the innocent.

I will tag the Twitter Handle of the UK Embassy in Nigeria to this post. Spreading hostile and fraudulent propaganda is malicious and will only add fuel to the ongoing Saudi-sponsored #ShiaGenocide in Nigeria.
