About 500 students of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) have been rusticated by the school management due to their involvement in offences against the laid down rules and regulations of the school.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit(ACTU) FUTO, Prof. N. Okeudo. According to him 'the school has shown zero tolerance for corrupt practices by rusticating the students,banning of sale of illegal handouts and punishing lecturers indicted for intimate harassment of students.

In his words, "ACTU had been involved in the provision of a Complaint Box for the school community and publication of anti-corruption articles to sensitise school community against corruption.

We have shown zero tolerance for corruption by working closely with the school management to achieve it. Our actions had led to the rustication of over 500 students for various offences.

We are working against illegal sales of textbooks and handouts. We are investigating cases of plagiarism and bribery amongst staff which has led to a female staff absconding".

When I stumble on threads of this nature, I simply assume it is a brainchild of some secondary school kid, but to confirm I quickly check the op's profile, see if there's a picture. This is one of the few times I've been disappointed as to the age of the op.

That's why I don't use those ATM's that makes noise. Talking bla bla, so that at times, I withdraw without people even knowing.

When they ask if the ATM is dispensing, most time I say ""No, it dint dispense, but you can try, maybe it's my card or bank"" Yea, my bag helps me

Some people will try it, and when it dispenses they'd call me back, and I'll be like ""Oh, don't worry, thanks"" and when some dont wanna try it, I'll convince them to try their cards.
