I will tel you guys something for sure, marriage is sweet, but the bitter part of it can affect a mans life even more than a woman. Episodes upon episodes have surfaced online regarding SOME men bringing in their wife to the western world and gradually seeing the demon crawl out of them. I have read many and heard of some within my community here in the UK. I always thought these episodes only happen to some people that it could never happen to me, bros and sis, he dey sup oo.

I don't want to delve into too many details, but I just want to share with you guys the most recent thing happening in my own, this is just to let u guys know that he unthinkable can happen to anyone whether or not you deserve it or not

So one day i decided to change the kitchen lights from the white one to the warmer bulbs, I had kept them right atop the kitchen cabinet which is a bit high. I climbed my chair and lo and behold I saw a paper neatly wrapped in a square shape, I took and opened it, lo and behold the attached is what I saw, I obviously don't know exactly what it is, so I called my mum, and the only thing she could tell me was to destroy it and up my spiritual game.

Overtime, I sort of react on situations with my wife, but I have changed ways. I politely and diplomatically approached her and asked if she knew anything about what I found, and she said, where is it, told her I have destroyed it but showed her a picture that I took. She sobbed and said she knows nothing about it, and I silently ended the convo.

A week later, I was assisting her to monitor the facebook ad that I have helped her with, a notification popped up on her computer saying ' finalize your hotel booking', which apparently popped out from bookings.com, I checked and saw that she pre-booked a hotel booking for 24th of Oct to 25th of Oct, I saw this 2 days prior to the 24th. I have had it in mind that I will not question her, set a trap and catch her red-handed, I know alot of you would say you should not have told her, she will now be smarter, I have my reasons and that's that. I left for work that day (24th), she was suppose to go for a house viewing as we are planning to move, I knew if for whatever reason, she might use that outing to go run things, that's if an actually plan was underway. On her wayback, we were talking while she was driving, then towards the end of the conversation, I asked her why she nor tell me sey she book hotel for me and her for Basildon, 24th to 25th two adults, she paused for like 6 seconds, and said which booking,then i gave her the lowdown, at first she was defensive, saying she does not want to further be asked questions, but that the pre-booking might have been done in error bla bla. I just ended it with no p, I thought I'd ask you.

Since 7 days now, she dey try seduce me, i nor gree Bleep, im just telling myself, what kind of fake life person wan dey live so, i am with a woman that at least i know she's effing someone, because she has not been caught red-handed its all 'lets continue our normal life' but me nor sabi pretend and the fear of contracting disease and also spiritual misfortune is now on the high for my mind. Winter dun come, who i wan dey nack, the depression just start now again.

This is my life story
I am sharing my experience here about marriage life, some of you might call me a Simp or weakling but need to share it for those who asked me to share it when I write on a topic about what i regretted so far in 2025, was getting married last year December and ending it this Year January will pick one or two things from my story.

I met this girl 2023 through a mutual friend, we became an acquaintance and later start dating. She is from Delta state likewise myself, she comes from Ndokwa west specifically Kwale by tribe. In 2024 i proposed to her, by May I went to see her family while she came to meet mine also.

Early September i asked her family for the traditional list. We both agreed for traditional marriage and court wedding, After collecting the list we start planning towards the traditional marriage which was fixed on December 29 on a Sunday afternoon. That faithful day, i went with my people to pay the bride price and other things, and the court wedding was fixed on January 17.

January 7th, we were together discussing but something strange happened, her phone rang and i saw her going outside to answer some calls, after sometimes she came back inside not composed. I asked her what the problem was but she downplayed it and told me it was nothing, but i was not comfortable, after a while her phone rang again, it was her brother's wife calling her and asking her if she has told me about the pregnancy. I was shocked and asked her what pregnancy is she talking about.

Here comes the shock of my life, i discovered that she was some weeks pregnant, I asked her who got her pregnant, to my surprise, it was her ex boyfriend. I was enraged, mad and furious, something was whispering into my ear to go into the kitchen take a knife and stab her. Luckily for me, my younger sister called me at that moment, if not i don't know what i would have done to her. Because it was late i left the house for her.

In the morning, i came back, she was already in tears crying and asking me for forgiveness. I told her to leave my house, I picked up my phone call all her family members, called mine also.
Her family were trying to persuade me to forgive her but i told them it was unforgivable. My family asked for the refund of the bride price which was later refunded after they discovered that i did not bulge to their request of accepting her back.

It was a painful moment and a painful experience too, but i was able to pull through by the help of my family members some friends.

It was a long story i had to cut it short. It is my life story

Moral lesson: Do pregnancy test even on the day you are to tie the knot, do not trust to the extent of ignoring little things.

Extra: The guy who got her pregnant was aware and even told the girl's sister that his property with them he is coming in future to collect it. Na so I for dey look after another man's property

My mother is getting depressed because of UNICAL

I brought the issue here sometime last year https://www.nairaland.com/7401130/unavailability-result-what-chances-sue about UNICAL frustrating my life and making me stranded in life, since then, despite all my efforts put into it, nothing much has been done about it.

It's getting to four years now since we wrote our final papers in 2019. Can somebody please help ask the University of Calabar what is my own offence for keeping me this long without clearing and releasing my result so that I can go and become useful to myself? Upon what are they frustrating my life? Even if there may be result alteration issue in the department, is it everybody that was involved in it? So me that didn't get involved in anyway, why are they punishing me?

As I am typing this, my mother is seriously worried and getting depressed over the situation. Each day she sees me in this situation - 4 years after school I don't make an impressive progress in life as I should, it makes her more depressed.

Please who can come in and intervene for me? I have used all the tools including writing letters, but I'm still where I am.

I need justice please.
