This isn't true. Canada is intentional about reuniting families. In fact, a new office was recently opened in Nova Scotia to handle only spousal open work permit in order to speed up the process of reuniting families. Applying together with your husband at this moment might give the visa officer the impression that you all want to leave your country. Hence, will take a lot of convincing for the visa officer to believe you won't leave Canada at th end of your study. You are on the right track. Shenaniganzzz: 1 Like |

You already did the right thing. It's always advisable to submit your application alone at first as it improves your home ties. I hope it ends well with your application. Shenaniganzzz: |

Hi, I learnt that the express center in Maitama, Abuja attends to cases like these. And that you could get it same day. That's why it's called an express center. You can enquire from the immigration officer regarding this. All the best. RichieJayy: |

To the best of my knowledge, this would not serve as misrepresentation owing to the fact that family situation may change over time. Moreover, Canada is intentional about uniting immediate families. folla: |

If I may add to what Frank said, please check with your institution regarding their plan for the mode of delivery of courses for the next term (semester). This is because most Canadian institutions aim to switch back to in-person teaching for Fall (on the condition that the covid case numbers keep dropping and that most Canadians would hopefully have been vacinnated by then). So, in the long run, online classes might not be feasible if they eventually revert to physical teaching. In summary, ensure that whatever plans you have made are flexible enough to suit any of the situations. All the best Lianna. Lianna2020: |

Sorry about this. At this point I suggest that if you know the name of the institution and the department he's studying, you go to the website of the institution (you can check through Google) then get the email of his department's coordinator or head of department or any admin staff in the department. Then you send an email to them regarding it. If he's a bonafide student, they would be able to reach him and give a feedback to you. Do stay strong!! Amakaoyekachi1 1 Like |

Okay, please check this link below. The hotel you book will depend on the city of the airport of your arrival. You will find the list of the government approved hotels in the link below. When you click the name of the arrival province, the lists of the approved hotels will pop up as a drop down. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/latest-travel-health-advice/mandatory-hotel-stay-air-travellers/list-government-authorized-hotels-booking.html#s2 httpss://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/692#101716613 Lianna2020: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Hi, congrats on the PPR. I read the experiences of those who did the quarantine recently and posted their experiences on thread 18. According to them, booking you can book from here in naija and pay cash when you arrive Canada. Also, but not related to quarantine, don't forget to get a letter of enrollment from your institution. The airports in naija request for it and I also heard from some that it was also asked at the port of entry in Canada. Wishing you all the best ahead. Also wishing the best to we still expecting PPR as well as those reapplying. Lianna2020: 3 Likes |

Thing is they will only process applications whose biometrics have been done. Processing time depends on several factors. There is no dress code when going for biometrics. prada1: |

From Mile 2, take a bus to Oshodi. From Oshodi take another bus to Obalende. Drop at Obalende last bus stop. At Obalende under bridge you will see buses calling passport office/Alagbon. You can call inspector Titi who will get your police cert done easily for 5k without stress. The number is 08035618789 Gentledaf: 2 Likes |

Hello, Please I got NSE request. I intend to continue via the normal study route. Also I do not want to wait till the 30 day period to provide MBS for NSE as it might delay the visa processing time. So I wanted to ask that should I provide a letter of explanation (informing them that I do not have MBS to do NSE and they should just proceed with the normal route) and attaching the previous proofs of fundings and upload to the GC portal ? Thanks |
