Thanks all for the advice, I will stick with my 1percent risk per trade mantra, and a open monthly target, whatever i rake in at month end,I will be fine. I will keep on lurking here to learn and compare trades setup with mine, thanks all for the encouragement.

Sir,I feel your pains.Let me help you with gold alerts free of charge.Break even in a whole month? shocked That's absurd.Gold trade is where to be.Just tell me what broker you use and amount. I will tell you how to place your trades.
Bro, I am very very sorry, but truly i don not want alert. I prefer to learn the ropes, even if it takes 10years to get proficient , i am ready to give it all. I started 2months ago, with average of 6percent per month, thats not so bad for a starter, am sure in no time i will get better, I can feel it. Between, i have a friend trader who wanted to help grow my account, he averages arround 30percent permonth on a live account, and he now trades for an equity company in lekki, i refused him all the same, because I would have rather use his strategy myself than allow him trade my account, but he trades intraday which is too volatile for my personality, and the fact that I still have a day job. Please, i dont mean to be proud, but am already a beneficiary of patience in my offline life....Am ready to grow steadily, while learning the ropes, even if takes ages, i know i will get there.

OliverPin: mr elewedu am a mapite grin but get a good trader first then i will join una
I really wish to interact live with successful traders. Am begining to get bored trading alone, i learnt alone without a mentor, and its been a very long and lonely journey thus far. I am hoping that one on one interaction with successful traders will aid my learning process. Though am begining to get a hang of this bussiness, i believe live contact and interaction with successful traders will still add value to what i have learnt so far.

Oga Elewedu, you're way past mature o. if you were handed $10,000, I'm confident you could get more than 150% ROI. Just give it sometime, you'll switch to a standard account. We all get better and better by practicing. wink
150% ke!!!not now oooooo. I am still struggling to maintain 15percent equity growth permonth, infact as at the time of typing this ,am down by 4percent of my equity, am only hoping that i breakeven before the month ends. Although this month has not really been good, my understanding of the markets is getting better by the day, am confident that in not too distant future i will be consistently profitable. For example, i noticed if i had left all the 4hr setups that i took last month run its course, i would have been up by at least 30percent as against the 12percent i made, infact, i was fortunate to enter GbpUsd buy at the begining of the trend ,and closed the trades today for 300pips(the best in my entire trading experience). Though am still down by 4percent, my consolation is that the more i trade the better i become as long as i remain a trader.

It amazes me, 100 pip move, they will make 350! I'd like to learn that too, I think it's because they see the big picture, you can't be looking at 15 minutes tf and be adding positions with confidence like that, and how do you place stops on multiple entries?
And again, I also think it depends on strategy, I may be wrong but I don't think Rozayx5 adds to his positions, yet he nails pips as much. Oya, all you bosses them, start talking o, show your junior brother the way, grin

(Outliers? You're gonna enjoy that!)
Bro, I dont ever trade 15mins tf, I had tried it during my demo period, It gives me a lot headaches, plus i dream moving charts when sleeping, it is just too stressful for me. I trade strictly 4hr tf, it aligns well with my personality and my shift work, I monitor and manage the trade on 1hr tf, and see if i can move my stop and probably add to the trade. I have had missed result so far, thats why i expressed my concern here , perharps the pros in the house can add their 2cents as regards trade management. Between, dis is my second month of live trading, am still a toddler in this bussiness....some people already bought car and house with forex, i also want to get there, "ise omo alaseje owo omo alasela" meaning paid job will give you daily meal, but bussiness will make you wealthy. I also want to make money jare

fxbomovi: Relax more opportunities wil come. If u always feel bad when u are stopped out, then stop adjusting ur s.l to b.e
Na so bro, thanks for the advice. I see that most successful traders here add to positions when there open position is in profit, thats what I am trying to do. I also try to move my stop to break even as soon as i am up by 1:1, but i dont know i tend to be taken out prematurely . It gets me seriously angry especially when the setup continue spitting pips afer taking me out. Now i know that trade management is even more important than trade entry....I beg make I go finish the book wey i dey read jare "outliers" nice book. USDCAD sell you be my last hope for this week , ma se bi abiku oooooo

have you ever grown grey hair waiting for the next ATM signal, grin grin grin well GBP crosses are very good at keeping you waiting, GBPNZD has been climbing for 8 days and 1100 pips.
tried trading this pair, when you hit a home run you thank God
was doing a run through different pairs this morning, and GBP crosses are mad grin
bros i think the one influencing the trend is the NZD. try checking EURNZD as well, you will marvel at the smoothness of the trend. its AUD counterpart is doing same, thats why EURAUD,EURNZD,GBPAUD,GBPNZD seem to be the best trending pairs , only that there spread can be threathening .

lol, You've said it all. sometimes I laugh when I see his post, dude will say one thing today, another tomorrow, Instead of watching and learning, he turned himself to Nial Fuller. I watch this thread everyday, with the sole purpose of learning, not to come and teach, even a non-forex book that Paris fran suggested weeks ago; 'Outliers: The story of success' by Malcolm Gladwell, I've read it. If he stuck to the rules he wouldn't have been burnt. I'm moving to another broker too, but still trading my Forextime account till I have something handy to transfer, I've banked 100pips today already, My account has been growing steadily since my April drawdown. I have more than trippled what I had when I told you guys my story... Forex is getting simpler to me each day, just learn to be STABLE!

esere826: a young smart looking man started working at my office last year
he was/is doing menial job in the office, but seems bright (i dont know if he knows)
One of those type that are torn btw acting (language, networks etc) like their menial jobs
or standing out as hungry for professional growth
( I and my oga at the top of discussed (without telling him)that if he takes the initiative to learn the ropes of our company, we will absorb him in)

He told us (office staff) that he can sew.
Everyone picked interest in this, cos his self-sewn clothes looks smarter than the average menial worker's one

to cut a long story short, i have tried him (sewed for me) and I was not impressed.
Others also have experienced such disapointment
If he had impressed me, my goal was to make him my permanent clothes fitter for as long as he can handle
at least 5000 naira to amend (fit) each of my shirts to my taste(much cheaper than if i do it in UK)
I would also have recomended him to my friends, and they might also have introduced him to their friends

Lessons: learn a trade that can add value, and do it well

Spot On, whatever your hand fineth, do it well....you will make a living

If you all remember I came here earlier this month to announce my entry into this exciting, interesting and challenging new venture of forex, I challenged you all to wish me the best and I remember you all did, and infact naijababe said someday I shall become SUPERTRADER ELEWEDU. I must confess, I am still very far from being a super trader, my equity curve is akin to that of sine curve that is slightly slanted upwards, and my emotion like a yoyo. In the course of the month I was able to pull a profit of 25percent but through reckless trade execution devoid of planning, I managed to crash my profit down to 12percent. I appreciate the fact 12percent profit is not bad for a newbie considering the fact that my monthly target ab initio was 15 percent. But seriously, I still need help in making good trades, I have a reliable system but my stoploss and take profit still needs much to be desired. I trade basic support and resistance, demand and supply strategy, but i have serious challenge setting stoploss and take profit for now, this is my achilles heel. I love fxisreal, XTHML, naijababe , clean charts, there thought process, and technical analysis, mostly my trades align with theirs , but they seem to be banking pips while i stay bewildered, i see they trade arround support and resistance like me , but I know they have a trading edge which i still lack, perharps it is their stops placement and profits. I need you guys to help me out, I need my trade to move to the next level, please if it is a book you had recommend, if it is a kind of guide, jst lend a helping hand.

Igwe,

Au contraire, I think Aussie's broken last year's low and heading for 2011's low, on the weekly TF but this wek would determine its reversal or not. If it can retrace to last year's low, then we should buy from next week which ofcourse is the second half of the year....and many reversals do occur from June.
