I don't know if this works for all schools but for some, if the next intake isn't that far, once you defer, the school updates their cas and ukvi continues processing the visa accordingly so you don't have to reapply. ezeksojo: Has the enrollment deadline from your school elapsed. I am facing same thing here . In my case the enrolment deadline just elapsed today 31Jan2025.chool says they cant extend the deadline. Can someone just advice if i should just cancel my Visa application before they make a decision . URGENT Advice needed please from anyone !!! |

I didn't get any success ukvi mail, rather what I got is vfs saying "The passport and notification of the decision for GWF reference number GWF******* was dispatched via courier on 15-01-2025. - VFS Global.
Did you get vfs message too? I'm disturbed don't know the status of my visa.

davodyguy: This is really strange and dont want to attribute this to VFS, as obviously this is UKVI themselves.
December is when I think they should be overwhelmed, but surprising this is happening in January. I have a previous UK refusal, maybe that's the reason for the delay. I'm assuming they need more time for extensive checks. |

Who else got this same update and what's the current status of your Visa application BIKO or how long will I have to wait to hear from them?
It's getting longer than expected here and I am a bit worried. My biometrics was on the 11th December, got this same mail on the 7th of January. When did you get yours? |

That's probably why, they tend to delay people with previous visa refusals. Don't know why, maybe to conduct more investigation. Contact your school and ask for an extension. |

The money paid for priority is not small and I thought it’ll hasten the process but Omo, it’s not. It’s still the same. It’s over 5 working days and I’m lost as regards what could be causing the whole delay. I have gone through this thread and, I saw a link to track the application only to see that a decision has not been made at all. Like…did they forget I paid for priority? I’m just tired. I know this looks like a rant but I’m honestly anxious and worried. Do a paid call or email |

Please what could probably be happening. @Cashmadam and other esteemed members of the forum. Kindly help with your advice.
Here's the message " Dear Bleep
Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.
Our records indicate a decision has been made on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone.
If your visa has been granted, a visa vignette (sticker) will be stuck inside your passport with 3 months validity (from the start of your visa) to travel.
You will be contacted by VFS/TLS when your passport is ready for collection, or delivery of your passport.
Please do not attend the VAC until you have been contacted as you won’t be able to collect your passport until it is ready.
We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.
Please note the information given to you on the progress of an application is dependent on the details you provide, and we can only provide the progress updates based on the application reference number given.
We do not have access to specific case information and so progress updates could be subject to change. Please wait for formal contact or a decision letter before taking any further steps.
Regards,
Bleep
UK Visas and Immigration " I'm of the opinion they've made a decision on your application but since it was weekend and then the possible public holiday might have caused a delay in you receiving the mail. Because most people that receive the visa approval mail from UKVI, it's always dated like 2 days ago from when they actually receive it. |

OdabiP: Good evening Nairalanders, this is quite long but bear with me. Earlier this year (2021) I was referred to a page on IG that handles Canada study visa called “ Wokostravelofficial” . They apparently were into securing admissions for interested people at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada and I secured their services. After making all payments to one Kinsley Onuchukwu GTB 0568656274 (handler of the Wokos page) and successfully securing the admission, we moved on to the visa application stage and this is where things started going sideways.
While waiting on this, I also applied to another Canadian institution (Niagara College, Canada) and was offered an acceptance to the Broadcasting program with a co-op work permit attached to it but decided to use the Manitoba admission for my study visa since it came before the other Niagara own and I had already began the study visa process but I planned to switch when i eventually got the study visa.
After providing all the required documents needed for visa application ( international passport, my sponsors bank statement of 12M Naira and sponsorship letter, CAC documents, filling my family information form) to “ Wokos”, my application was submitted in early February 2021 and a week later I was invited to do biometrics screening which I did at the VFS center in Lekki.
Months passed and no feedback from the embassy and every time I messaged this guy he always give me different excuses ( COVID, this , that) so I lockup. He refused to give me the details to my IRCC login claiming he is handling many applications and cannot give the login details to everyone so any messages or requests from IRCC that I receive on my email I would have to ask him before he even tells me what was going on and which documents they were requesting for ( NSE documents like IELTS and Mybankstatement)
Eventually after a 5 months wait, he eventually sent me the rejection mail on the 24th of June claiming my application was unsuccessful . I was devastated and asked him if I could immediately request for my GCMS note to know the real reason my application was rejected but he insisted that I would have to wait for at least two months before even applying for GCMS. I doubted it but I waited, a month later in late July, I asked again about applying for GCMS note but he still dismissed it so I took the incentive and made some research on how to apply myself and I did.
After a month and some days later, I received the GCMS today (3rd of September 2021) and I am shocked to find out that they used duplicated documents for my study visa applications that had already been used in several other applications and I was being accused of fraudulent documentation and misrepresentation and being hit with a 5 years ban from all Canada visa applications .
The annoying part alongside this is that this agent was given some time ( June to July) to inform me on the misrepresentation allegations and to challenge it if need be but he did not and if I had not applied for the GCMS note myself I wouldn’t even know that I had been banned for 5 years. Also because Canada, US and Australia share information and data base I have also been told that the chances of me getting a visa in those 3 countries are now slim to none.
I would appreciate any information and ideas on the important next steps I would need to take to possibly appeal this ban. 5 years no be joke ♂️. Please help a brother out Omo, people wicked o. I saw this on a blog, might be useful to you

demmyg4real: @mummy4life1
Am not a guru though but from my little understanding let me state below that;
No one can predict the processes of IRCC and the mindset of the visa officer towards an applicant's application, just like we do "say no application is same" then no mindset of a VO is same on two applications, having subjected to that then I will advise you as follow;
1. Start your application filling ( search for school with Jan, May & Sept intake, get all necessary documents ready for submission) 2. Prepare for your VO; Think of a genuine and convincing reason for changing DLI and possibly state y u need to refire almost immediately after ur refusal 3. Wait for your GCMS notes for you to better understand the reason for your last rejection and tackle it appropriately. 4. Once your admission comes in then submit immediately with other supporting docs.
Remember; u don't need to do biometrics or medicals as they are still valid, so in the wise you are two steps ahead of a fresh applicant.
We have seen where a re-applicant got PPR in a month or less than 2months.
Should in case your PPR request gets delayed beyond Jan intake then u can easily defer till the next intake and definitely u will get a decision before the next intake resumption elapses.
I stand to be corrected !!! It will all sure end in praise!!! Hopefully, that's the case for me. This is my second application, my first was 2 months, hope this takes less. I'm booking my slot here for PPR testimony sha. |
