I am not surprised about that. I can assure you that I am a student of church history and I know that fact very well but the question is, Is the reformation in line with the teaching of Christ himself? If the pope comes out tomorrow to support incest or drug abuse will you call it the church reforming herself? I am not against reformation, what I am against is introducing things that are clearly against Christ's teachings, that would make him an Antichrist!!!!

If the pope decides to use his position as the head of the church to lead the people astray rather than upholding the faith he was elected to defend then he should be called out for what he is, Apostle Peter who was the first pope was rebuked by apostle Paul when he erred, why should we then fold our arms and allow this pope deceive billions of Catholics into believing a lie. I am a Christian and that's why I am talking against this otherwise I wouldn't have bothered myself about it at all

You might have understood things better if you were a Pope, take for example the Catholic church population in Brazil is said to be decreasing with reason like people looking for churches that fits into their liberal lifestyle, now if Catholic church doesn't reform they might lose lots of members and end up in a minority, i believe you have seen how new generation churches easily gather congregation cos they have evolved, always important to evolve especially to stay relevant

So the church should keep compromising just so it can have more members? This is a warped logic. The bible clearly said that this will happen in the last days. People having itching ears and going after teachers who with only tell them what they want to hear and abandoning the truth so it shouldn't surprise any one that it is happening now. 1. What you wrote there is just like the analogy of the egg and chicken which comes first? If you look at it conversely, if the prostitute didn't advertise herself as such, the clients wouldn't come to her in the first instance talk more of paying her for her services.

2. Conservatism doesn't equate to suppression of women rights. I don't know where you saw in my entire write up that I support suppression of women's rights. Same goes for your wild and irrational claim on white supremacy. How on earth does being conservative equate to being a white supremacists. Are the black members of such conservative parties also white supremacists?

3. I am not asking the pope to suppress the rights of LGBT, indeed the pope has no power to suppress their rights. My stand in that is that we are in a secular world and everyone has a right to be whatever they want to be but that doesn't give you the right to impose your views on others. The bible clearly defines LGBT practices as sins and abominations that shouldn't be accepted in the body of Christ. If you want to be LGBT be free to be one but definitely not in the Catholic church!!!! There are many churches like the church of Scientology, church of Satan e.t.c whose beliefs do not conform with that of the Catholic church. They Catholic church doesn't impose on them, they conduct their own worship exclusive of the Catholic church and none is infringing on the other's right to freedom of worship. There are many pro LGBT churches around where LGBT are free to go and worship or they can even start a new church if they so wish but the article of faith of the Catholic church does not condone it so if you must be a member, you have to abide by the rules of the church otherwise, you're free to go.

Christ did not discriminate against sinners but he didn't support them either. That's why he always told them go and sin no more. That is a recognition that they were sinners and needed to change their way of lives. What the pope is advocating is a legalizing of sins, in other words, people will now be free to commit sins because it has been legalized by the church

President Muhamamdu Buhari on Monday said the desire of the Federal Government was to have schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok and Dapchi back alive.

He said that was why his administration chose negotiation, rather than military option, to secure their release.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while receiving the United States Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Adesina quoted the President as saying that Nigeria was working in concert with international organisations and negotiators to ensure that the girls were released unharmed by their captors.

“We are trying to be careful. It is better to get our daughters back alive,” the President said.

Buhari thanked the US for assistance rendered in the fight against insurgency, noting that Nigerian forces are good, “but need assistance in the areas of training and equipment.”

The President promised that his administration would continue to do its best to secure the country, adding that he would be in Yobe State, from where Dapchi schoolgirls were abducted, later this week “as part of my condolence and sympathy visits to areas where we have had unfortunate events.”

Some suspected armed robbers on Monday in Kano attacked employees of NNPC mega filling station in Hotoro area and made away with N16m.

An eyewitness told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano that the incident happened at 8a.m. when the employees were conveying the money to one of the commercial banks in the area.

The suspects were said to have attacked the vehicle conveying the money and snatched one of the sacks containing N16m.

According to the eyewitness, one of the two sacks contained N16m and the other, over N10m.

“All in all, there was over N26m in the two sacks when the incident happened.

‘’The suspected robbers took away one of the sacks containing N16m, ”he said.

NAN gathered that soon after the suspects snatched the money, they shot continuously into the air to scare people and fled.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Command in the state, SP Magaji Majiya, confirmed the story.

He, however, said the incident happened around Kwanar Mashaya when the vehicle conveying the money was negotiating a bend and suddenly, two suspected armed robbers attacked it.

The police image maker said in the process, the suspects snatched one of the bags containing N16m.

He said three suspected staff of the NNPC mega station have been arrested in connection with the robbery, saying that the money was for Friday, Saturday and Sunday sales.

“As I am talking to you now, cashier one, two and their supervisor have been arrested in connection with the robbery.

‘’Investigation into the matter has commenced. with a view to arresting the fleeing suspects,’’ he said.

A National Executive Committee, NEC, member of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, has disclosed that some ex-military officers and politicians are reforming the defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP, into an organized and effective political force ahead of the 2019 elections to deal with President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Mohammed, President Buhari has become bereft ideas on how to move nation forward and was being afflicted by the poverty of political wisdom.

Mohammed told Sun that three Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwarts have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the SDP.

He further disclosed that all the retired soldiers in Nigeria were the people backing the SDP.

He said, “They are getting ready. If 2019 proves to be a herdsman issue and a Buhari power confrontation… all the former soldiers will set up a group that will deal with Buhari and every other person in Nigeria that is creating problem. So, they should not just look at SDP simply.

“I think Buhari may have the honour to be president of Nigeria, but I think he is very bereft of political wisdom, a man lacking, very lacking…the poverty of political wisdom is afflicting him.

“He is suffering from the poverty of political wisdom. That is the simplest I can put it and I think Nigerians will understand this.”
