lexylaw09:Who changed things? The President is no longer the Commander in Chief again? Abi did you sit down in your batcher in Ilorin and draft a new Constitution for the country? |
Where is Yarimo? News from Abia state has made it to the FP. Food has landed ![]() |
The insensitivity of our leaders amazes me. For weeks, children and teachers have been in captivity. Insecurity is at an all-time high, and the country is literally on fire. But what the Senate President cares about is to overturn the democratic process and bring back people who woefully lost the party primaries. To those e-warriors who continue defending this government, how do you sleep at night? Don't you ever pause to think about the consequences of your actions? Is that bag of rice worth your conscience and the blood of innocent Nigerians? |
Eba50:Alright brother. Let's see how it goes. |
Eba50:I am going to save this comment. When the project becomes successful, I will be here to remind you of your post. However, this shows that most of you guys do not have a basic sense of Nigeria's geography, or have never travelled outside your state. Abia state and Rivers State are literally neighbours. It takes only slightly above 30 mins to travel from Aba to Port-Harcourt, and it is a straight road. In practical terms, the time you will spend from Ikorodu to Ajah, someone has gone from Port-Harcourt to Aba and then back to Port-Harcourt. I know people who live in Abia State and work in Rivers State. Sometimes, it is best to research before you drop comments |
Oga Yarimo, food has landed. ![]() |
It’s easy to point fingers at South Africans, but are we really any different? With the general elections just months away, the familiar pattern is about to begin. Soon, the usual suspects will rise, threatening anyone who refuses to support their candidate. They will insist that Lagos is their ancestral homeland and tell others to “go back to your states.” If you complain that Lagos is dirty, they will tell you to go to your state. If you say that Lagos is no longer safe, they will threaten to pursue you to your state. Ironically, many of these people do not even originate from Lagos. We’ve seen it several times. Even traditional rulers have issued chilling threats, warning that those who don’t vote “correctly” could be cast into the Lagoon. We’ve watched homes and businesses belonging to Igbos demolished, accompanied by intimidation and calls for them to leave. Sadly, they always have lots of supporters on Twitter and even here on Nairaland, encouraging these barbaric acts against their own fellow countrymen. This pattern of hostility is not unique to South Africa. It is alive here too. |
Macphenson:The usual e-bandits will soon come for you. They will dig up one report from China and tell you how only the design for a bridge in Tokyo cost the government 1billion dollars. They will remind you that the government is invested in building quality things that will last for 1 billion years. If you tell them how that money alone would have been used to construct and renovate existing roads, they will label you an IPOB/ Obidient that doesn't want any good thing to happen in Nigeria. Things we see on Nairaland ![]() |
autoez:What about your own state? Why aren't you proud of your Kwara? |
yarimo:Lol. I knew you wouldn't disappoint! Yarimo my man!!! |
Yarimo, food has landed. Come and comment quickly, so you'll meet your daily target |
LabStores:My brother, we never even finish January sef |
Wouldn't this amount to double taxation? Someone goes to a supermarket and pays VAT for the items purchased. He still pays another VAT for the money transferred to the supermarket for the same items. Let's say the transaction is N10,000. The customer will be forced to pay VAT on goods, VAT on transfer, Bank Transfer charge, Stamp Duty charge ,and SMS alert fee!!! |
Now that the 15% tarriff has been suspended, I wonder what Reno will have to say. Dude has been posting non-stop on how the tarriff is the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria, and how the President should never halt such a "people-friendly" policy |
Karlman:My brother, it will surprise you to know that Reno actually did say that Peter Obi was the one who invited Trump. Laughter nearly finished me when I read his post on Twitter Reno na serious case ![]() |
International issues are not handled with local propaganda; they require diplomacy. The government’s first response was to rely on propaganda. Rather than taking responsibility, they pointed fingers at everyone else from Peter Obi, PDP, Obidients, IPOB, and even blamed Christians. Yet, despite overwhelming evidence, there has been no accountability. For Trump to act on such matters, he would have relied on multiple reports from the CIA and FBI. Our government, however, chose instead to enlist Reno and other social media influencers to spread falsehoods. I wonder if his advisers seriously believe that Trump is watching TVC News or scrolling through Nairaland and Twitter reading comments from helinues and co? This isn't local politics |
safarifarms:I love reading Yarimo's rants on anything concerning Otti. Its very amusing for me |
Kastonkastroll:So suddenly, you guys have started calling for Unity? When herders enter into farms and kill people in their hundreds , you didn't remember unity. When they threaten Igbos not to vote during elections, you forget unity. When people in the South complain about marginalization, you don't remember anything about unity. Emergency lover of Nigeria. |
tundegan:Lol. Forget that big English. Just a tweet from Trump and our President is running to go and beg them. This is what they've reduced our country to. When this is finally over, Tinubu should finally do away with Reno. All these things wouldn't have happened if Reno didn't start organizing a press conference in the first place to deny the glaring truth. |
Reno didn't just know when to stop. That's his major character flaw. If he has kept quiet over this Christian genocide, shey he wouldn't have been dragged like this. His past tweets were even contradicting him. But no! He had to organize a press conference to debunk the killings. Not even Northern Muslims ever went that far. |
Guestmale:How many people visit cyber cafes in 2025? Youre just wired to criticize without even considering if you are making sense or not. |
Seun, don't let Nairaland sink this low abeg. Don't let Reno destroy what you've worked so hard build for decades. He isn't worth it at all. |
Reno is looking for another person to leech on. He should ask questions about Dangote first. Hope he knows that Dangote doesn't have time for all that shalaye. He is a core businessman that doesn't get involved with political drama. |
Uchesis:Lol. Reno is going to type a whole essay about absolutely nothing. He will say that it is the standard all over the world and Trump also pardoned 1million people in one day. Then at the end of the day, he will somehow drag Peter Obi into the matter. Reno is very predictable. |
Lanretoye:It's very easy to type this thing because the deceased is not your family member.. |
AMINDA:Let me save this comment. I am sure it will come to pass very soon I can't wait to see how the Agbadorians will launch their smear campaign against one of their favorite persons. It's even going to be funnier than El-Rufai's case. ![]() |
What is happening to Nairaland. It looks very different |
helinues:My people say that when the corpse of another person is carried along the road, it looks like a bundle of firewood to bystanders. Every week, we are plagued with reports of OneChance criminals in Abuja. We hear stories of bandits roaming the mountains and kidnapping people. There are reports of thieves entering estates and robbing for hours without any police intervention. A Military General was even killed in his own home in Abuja! People are urging the President and his Minister to do more. You are shutting them up and passing the blame back to the same people who are victimized. Pray that your words don't come back to haunt you or your family someday. |
APC goons will come and tell us that BAT is working. |
The people who keep on supporting the State of Emergency have no idea what Tinubu just did. The damage done to democracy will take many years to fix. This isn't about Obi or Atiku. It's about our collective future as a people. Tomorrow, a Northern President can declare an SOE on Lagos or any other Governor that doesn't play ball. How will we be able to oppose that President when Tinubu did it successfully in Rivers State? Also, notice that there was no yardstick in appointing Ibas as Sole Administrator. A President can simply appoint his son, his relation or his best friend to rule over the State. Who are we going to complain to then? |
Sheyi Shay was a class act. That lady can sing like an angel. I hope she makes a comeback |
