I think God has given man all he needs to make the changes he wants to happen in his life. God cannot do for us what he has given us the power to do for ourselves, despite that, we continue to ask him for a miracle.

Rather than looking inwards and discovering our inner strengths... we pray and then leave God to do all the work, hoping that things will change... but sadly they dont.

Nigeria was quite better in the 90's and since then we have been praying tirelessly for it to get even better, but as mornings turned to nights, weeks turned to months and years turned to decades, the status-quo in 2021 is even worse-off after all the prayers and fasting.

What this means is that "we are all categorically wasting time praying... praying in vain !!!

E.g A foolish man will pray to his God, asking him for food after his 'Chi' had already blessed him with some fertile lands, good enough to start a farm... he keeps fasting and praying hoping that one day God will answer his prayer.

He died of starvation and someone else acquired his land and started a farm.

Nigeria is a third world country that's rather declining in its development despite all the fasting and prayers.

China worship no God yet their economy is among the best in the world.

Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai, china, Saudi Arabia and others focus more on human capital development to become one of the best in the world.

...but Africa depends on their religion, praying day and night... believing God will send his Angels to them to help them out of their self-inflicted doom.

I would vote for anyone whose manifesto is about resuscitating the local government system. Charity begins at home, the local community is the building blocks of the whole country

Good morning Nairalanders. I had to create this new account to do this. Trust me this is the lowest point of my life.

The story might be long but I just wish to let it out maybe I might get help. I used to supply aluminium scrap to some Chinese and things were going on smoothly until sometimes February this year when I took it to them and their Nigerian workers said they have travelled to China for their new year and have instructed their Nigerian staff not to process payment. They sent an email to that effect though and they promised to be back within a month or two. So I didn't take it seriously, I was still buying produce with my own money with the hope that I will get everything back after they are back. Hmm... till now I visit the company often, operations is still on but they have refused to pay suppliers instead they got other people to start supplying them. They keep sending emails that they are working out details of our payment since March and here we are in August again. First it is painful that some foreigners will come into our land and treat local citizens like this, can one try this in China with their own citizen. Second painful thing is that I took money from my other business to finance the purchase of other materials with the hope that I will get the payment once only to be disappointed by this. This has really led to a lot of downturn for me as my business is practically dead.

To make matter worse was when I tried securing a job and I was offered 15,000 as monthly stipend but my transport fare alone for the month at 500 daily stand at at least #10,000 per month.

I am appealing to well meaning NL here, I know it's quite difficult to get assistance this days but with a loan running my own business I will get back on my fit faster than taking #5000 monthly. I am appealing for a short loan of 3 months. I am available to meet whoever in person. Submit my documents pending the settle of the loan just to guarantee that I am not going to default. I am just a 25 year old boy trying to make ends meet and make my family happy but this guys have hurt me really bad. I am looking to raise at least 200,000 to start my other business (FMCG in a student area so very fast sales). I will appreciate all your effort no matter how little.

Pastor Chris wasn't prepared for their drama, he pulled out of twitter and challenged his church tech people to design a platform that the church can use. That's what gave birth to Yookos.

Today Yookos is a formidable competitor with Twitter so much so that ex President Barack Obama acknowledged the giant strides made by the platform within such a short time after it was launched.

Eventually twitter confirmed Pastor Chris' account and "apologized" but it was too late.
Pastor Chris had moved his huge followership into Yookos.

Several years later Twitter is saying that they don't know the country that the same Pastor Chris comes from.
That's arrogance taken too far.

Any Nigerian who tolerates this insult is just a self hating sychophant.

I'm from Edo state to be precise.

The major problem we have presently is not just the FG alone but other bodies under the government.

I lived in an estimate of about 4 flats each. Fast forward to this day, we were using normal light (no prepaid). Along the line, my landlord introduced the prepaid meter for every flat, which was a welcome development.

Yesterday, I decided to recharge as usual. But I got an information that I can't recharge, and this prompt me to go to the NEPA office to laid a complain. On getting there, I was told that I have to pay #5000 before I can recharge and that is a new directive from the state government, which I was skeptical about. What annoyed me was the fact that, the payment is manual and not through the state or FG ban.

Since morning, I have been trying to call them but the phone line kept me on voice note.

Corruption is every corner, the system has gotten to a point where it cannot be saved.

This must get to the state government.

Call their head office or go there to complain the issue should be rectified else return to the old meter
