Nairaland GeneralRe: Lottery Win Has Ruined My Life, Says £1m Winner by ElmaSpeed(f): 8:42am On Feb 15, 2017
She bought lottery ticket by herself.
She won.
Now she wants to sue because she found out the hard way that money doesn't buy happiness.
I'd say she's an over pampered little girl.
She should learn to take responsibility for her actions. Not everything is "someone else's fault".

I was under the impression that we have barracks in every state.
Deployment from where again?
HealthRe: WHAT Are They Putting In Our SALT, Now? by ElmaSpeed(f): 8:13pm On Feb 14, 2017
I think we need to be proactive when it comes to what we eat or drink.
Different bodies tend to respond differently to the exact same things. A lot of Nigerians find the idea of peanut allergies weird because it's almost unheard of here.

Rather than go back and forth about who knows more, i think we need to ask questions and find answers concerning what we consume.

Let's have mercy on our kidneys.

Thanks OP for making me more aware of this.
EducationRe: Some Scary And Disturbing Images And The Stories Behind Them. by ElmaSpeed(f): 1:24pm On Feb 05, 2017
Explorers:
Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand who tattooed their faces.

When someone with tattoos died, their heads are preserved by sealing orifices with flax fiber and gum, then boiled or steamed in an oven, then smoked over an open fire, dried under the sun for several days, and treated with shark oil.

These heads are called Mokomokai.

In the early 19th century, with the arrival of Europeans, the Maori had to sell them for firearms to defend themselves.

Major-General Robley, a British army officer who served in New Zealand during the 1860s, built up a collection of 35 to 40 Mokomokai which he later sold to the American Museum of Natural History.
Now I see the inspiration for Medusa's head after decapitation in the original "clash of the titans" movie.

Foreign AffairsRe: American Soldiers On Mission To Poland Brings Life To Polish Town. by ElmaSpeed(f): 12:42pm On Feb 05, 2017
Nothing brings life into a small town like small and medium scale businesses. To the patron, a need is met. To the service provider, a need is met.
Everyone is happy... until someone gets greedy.
