My Cappo, present present o! Just that since yesterday av been so disturbed. Presently, am 34 weeks and my baby is still transverse(lying sideways). I really wish he should have turned head down by now. Went for antenatal yesterday and doctor says we should be watching it btw now and 38 weeks and by d 38th week, if he hasnt turned, they will spell out my options for me. But what if i now give birth before 38 weeks? Abeg sabi mamas chook mouth for this my matter. Thank you.

In that case, don't just watch. Pray. God gave you that baby. There's nothing He cannot do. While praying, talk to your child. Tell him or her to turn. It may sound silly, but nothing is impossible

Edd according to LMP is March 13 while the first scan I had says April 2. I prefer March.

I am also team not fully ready cos of laziness. Guess I will be more ready after my next appointment.
Thanks for the list you put up some time ago. Please, I do have a question. Can the normal sanitary pads be used by mothers right from the day she delivers or it must be the maternity towels? Thanks for checking up on us always. Wishing all of us beautiful swift delivery

Use the maternity stuff (our good old comfit). It's easier on the sore post-partum perineum.

It's the local women idea I don't personally like. Feeling around the abdomen with hands alone don't give enough info about what is going on inside.
Find out from your doc about turning the baby, hear what he or she will say. I know it is done in hospitals as well.

I am having this pain in my VJ bone immediately after my lower abdomen it is worst anytime i am getting up from lying down or have the urge to pee no be small thing, abeg sabi mamas what is the cause because sometimes i walk as if my down below wants to fall off and again this baby has not turned yet oo hope there is still time

I had that pain too. In fact, I still have it sometimes. Staying active has helped me reduce it. You could take paracetamol if the pain is unbearable, though personally I don't take pcm. I work it out.
As for the baby, I seriously doubt there's enough space to turn now, but talk to your doctor about getting a massage to turn the baby (beware of the umbilical cord though).

4 weeks to our season.
It's funny cos it feels just like yesterday when we were sharing tips on how to survive morning sickness. Do we remember?
Two weeks from now, some of us will be due.

Team I-have-not-finished-shopping, please ensure you get your essentials (those things you and baby can't do without in the first few weeks).
Potential porters club, pack your bags and inform your support team (your husband or whoever you have chosen to go with you to hospital) of its exact location. Your baby may surprise you. My first baby did.

How long has it been since your CS? Cos that will determine whether or not you can safely try for a VBAC. Meanwhile do yourself a favour. Get rid of that fear. A raised blood pressure is the last thing you need right now.

Maybe I didn't buy the original ones cos it didn't hold my breast well, twas as if the breast was pulling it down

Mine was quite firm and comfortable. Besides, i bought two sizes bigger than my regular size cos my breasts really swell during nursing.

Someone has posted pictures. Women who sell baby stuff in the market sell it. I found out that its a lot more convenient than regular bra.

Am a first-time mom. Now am 21weeks along in my pregnancy.I started feeling my baby's movement at 18weeks,just as my baby was 19weeks old the movement stopped,I didn't feel anything. I became so scared,thinking about still births and miscarriages made me melt in my fears.But thank God, as I moved close to 20weeks,my baby started kicking even stronger than he use to. Team march sweeties, how are we? We are six weeks away (abi na 5?)
My fellow potential porters (curve . kekeakinwale.Happychildlove. Soonest. foreverjoy00. Elmaspeed. Showerses. youngmommypat.) are our bags packed yet?

I haven't packed for the hospital yet but i will soon. Let me share my list with us.

For mom:
1. Toiletries (bathing soap, cream, toothbrush and paste)
2. Sanitary pants/ pads (4 packs)
3. Toilet rolls (4 rolls)
4. Clean wrappers
5. Night wears, maternity bras, etc
6. Rubber slippers
7. Small black cellophane bag and old newspapers (disposables aren't disposed here without pre-packaging, which makes the waste bin less yucky)

For baby:
1. Toiletries (baby costmetics of your choice)
2. Baby wears (body suits, sleep suits)
3. Olive oil, menthylated spirit, cotton wool, cotton buds, antiseptic lotions
4. Baby shawls, baby sweater, socks, caps
5. Baby cup and spoon
6. Baby diapers
7. Flask for hot water

For those who are expecting to stay in the hospital for longer than a day, like me, start making plans. Pack extra everything or at least arrange for stuff to be brought to you from home during every visit. If you're a book person, take a novel with you. Personally i plan to have plenty movies to pass the time cos it gets pretty boring from day 3.

One more thing, ensure you ask questions during your antenatal classes concerning your birth center's policies so you can avoid unpleasant situations. If they are the kind that love to hold on to your leftover cotton wool or disinfectant or stuff like that, buy small packs of those things so you can leave them there without a fuss. If they are the kind that won't supply you hot water, arrange ahead for yours. Just prepare for the hours or days after birth, so there are no surprises.

I can't wait to start seeing our baby pictures. There shall be no loss in Jesus' name. Amen.

belladsweet add vitamin c. It helps the body absorb iron. Also, avoid taking fesolate with milk. Take it hours before or hours after your tea.

You skipped fesolate. It's extremely important. Get a pack and take one daily.

I had my elective CS scheduled.... preparing for the date and all, but my baby was ready to come sooner (i guess) labour signs and all, the doc decided i go in earlier cause i no wan hear story.
I have had 2 previous CS and i was doing dagbo but when the hour came anyways our baby was brought out safe, i didn't loose blood, i am recovering well... we praise God. May God take us all through this journey in Jesus name.
