Firstly, I find it hard to fathom why u will label pple here fake cos no one aswered ur questions. Don't u think that's a rash and ill-thought conclusion. I am a very busy person. To answer ur questions, aliexpress or dhgate isn't a place u shud go to get an ipad or any of the popular brand of laptop. The stuffs there are China made and the idea is that they create good alternatives to ipads and the popular brands of laptop. They are cheap and u can create a market for them here. if what u want is an ipad or a dell, toshiba, hp and other popular brand of laptops, then aliexpress or dhgate isn't a place for u to go.

Secondly, about the escrow account thing, u need not open an account with escrow and u aren't directly involved in the escrow thing. All u need to do is to sign up at aliexpress for example. When u order for any product, escrow will automatically hold ur money until u confirm the receipt of ur goods. U don't need to open any other special account for that cos it is integrated with the site already.

About the price being too much, it is your duty to compare if it will be more economical using their service compared to just shipping it directly through aliexpress but for me, it is usually more economical using them. Just make the calculations and see for yourself cos my main reason in the first place for recommending them was in a bid to reduce the shipping cost. You will realise that on aliexpress, most times the shipping cost surpasses the price of the product itself

I don't think it makes much diff whether u pick it at the airport or at their office provided your goods safely get to Lagos and for that I can assure you that it will cos they haven't failed me in that regard so far.

The major work in this business is the marketing and I believe there is nothing that can't be marketed provided you are ready to do the dirty work.
If u av a blackberry phone, then don't just keep using ur pictures or those of those fine girls as ur dp, u can start using the pictures of your products as ur dp and give the info of the products on ur PM. Use ur facebook wall and u can even create a page dedicated to selling your products. Talk to people about it. Just be radical. Some people may turn u down but there are others that will patronize u and as u gradually build ur customer base, you can them relax and let the orders keep coming.
U have to drop ur pride and get busy doing this and u can be sure the reward will come.
Below is just an example of sth imported few days ago. They are handbands and I got each one for less than a dollar but with the shipping fee, I will put the cost around N200 thereabout. I'm selling it for N600 which is a profit of around 200%. If not for my busy schedule, imagine taking this to the Shiloh or Redemption camp, imagine how fast they will sell. You will find many great products and u will be limited only by your thinking.

All u need to do is to give them the link to the products and u pay the cost to chrisvicmall including their own shipping fee (not the shipping fee on aliexpress). They will be the ones to make the order on ur behalf and send it down to u here.

I have just replied all the mails I received now.

I will want to talk about sth based on my experience and some mails I have received.
Whenever, you want to order for anything on aliexpress, don't just look at the picture and place your orders based on nice or great the picture looks. Always read the product description which will tell you all about it.
For example, I got a mail from someone saying someone he knows ordered for jewellries from aliexpress for $7/set only to discover that it isn't real gold. Firstly, u can't expect to get real gold for that cheap. Also, if you check the description of the product, it will have said sth like 'gold plated' which means it isn't gold but is just painted gold. For evry product, they will write the kind of material it is made of so u shud do well to check before you order so u don't raise your expectations falsely.

Another example is when ordering for bags or belts, you may look at the picture and think it is real leather but if you check the product description, you will find out it is made of PU leather which isn't real leather but a synthetic form of leather so don't expect such to be as durable as real leather even though they are still very marketable. There are bags made of genuine leather and you will find it written in the product details and even in the title of the product that it is genuine leather.
This applies to different products. Just make sure you check everything about the product before you order so u know what you are expecting and you really know what price to sell them based on the quality.

I personally don't look for the free shipping option cos u most likely will not find grt products u like that will offer free shipping to Nigeria so I'd rather not limit myself. This is why I introduced chrisvicmall earlier. Their shipping cost is quite low compared to the one u find on aliexpress and this is why I use their service and they've always delivered.

I have to telkl you the hard truth my friend. WE can keep blaming the high level of unemployment in Nigeria on the government. Yes! They are guilty but the issue is that how can we help ourselves even with this insensitive government. God has placed too much in you for u to waste it on the alter of self pity.

I believe you chose the free shipping option with China Post. This option as I mentioned earlier takes btw 15 to 60 days before u get it. So in my opinion, it isn't too long yet. This long wait however is why I don't usually use the free shipping option except u find free shipping with DHL which you will get in a matter of days.

You can get men's suit very cheap on aliexpress. I have once gone through the different prices on aliexpress and found that you can get some as cheap as 7-8k. You can sell these suits comfortably for btw 12 to 15k in lagos depending on who you are selling to and whether you are selling on wholesales or retail.
I will however advise that if you want to start, you should buy just one first so u can be sure of the quality and the size. If you go through the feedback of most of their men's wear on aliexpress, most of the buyers complain of the sizes been too small cos the way they measure their sizes seems to be different from the conventional ones we know. So just order for one and see how big or small it is which will help you in making your next orders. I intend going into this later myself cos i think it has good potential for selling here.

Most of the suppliers on aliexpress offer discounts, some for minimum of 3, 5, 10 and so on depending on the supplier's discretion.
I think we have answered most of your questions early on the thread esp ur question 2 and 3.
Concerning the phones u mentioned, I personally wudnt want to buy a nokia fone or any other popular brand from aliexpress.
I will only advise that u get China fones if u want to get fones from aliexpress provided u av a market for them cos just as u av mentioned, the popular brands aren't that cheap there partly because these fones aren't indigenous to them unlike the China made fones.

I mentioned a reliable site earlier on. It is ipmart.com. You can get good uk refurbished blackberry phone in good condition and they are very cheap. You can get some blackberries as cheap as 10k there which u can sell and make good profit.

I believe you can try to raise sth small. You can start with sth as small as 10k provided you have done your market analysis well. Just try importing sth that is very cheap and will readily sell e.g. Jewellries. You can then gradually build your capital and start importing some other stuffs. Just be focused and set your goals.

About the Shipping

You will notice that the shipping fee sometimes is quite high and sometimes may even cost more than what you are ordering. Don't be discouraged about this cos there is a way out.

Firstly, u can always get free shipping to Nigeria but most of them are through China Post which may take 15 to 60 days before it gets here but if u don't mind the wait you can go ahead.
You can however get some free shipping with DHL. You can find this by going to the category of the products you want and at the top of the page, select the free shipping option and also select DHL as the shipping method. Also, remember to set your location as Nigeria. This will bring out a list of the product you can get through free DHL shipping. They may not be much but check them out but never forget to go through the usual steps I talked about early on tru which u can find a genuine seller.

Most times, the products you want will not offer free shipping. Never to worry, there is a method I use. Most of u may have heard of chrisvicmall. I'm not in anyway affiliated to them but they are the people I use for my shipping. They offer low rates compared to what u have on the sales page and the fee is based on the weight of the product. They have the 1 to 3 day option and also the 7 to 10 day option. The faster you want it, the more you pay.
You will give them the link and they will help u place the order then send the goods down to u. Their customer care is great and they will continually update you.
However, I must say there is a level of trust needed cos u will have to pay to them and not directly to aliexpress cos they will be making the order on your behalf. When I heard about them, I did my research and decided to take the risk and it paid off. I avent had any problem with them ever since. You can go over to their site at chrisvicmall.com and chat with them, they will explain everything to you.

When you want to order for a particular product, make sure your location is correctly set as Nigeria. The shipping fee to your location will be automatically generated. When making payment for the product online, you will have to pay for the shipping fee and the payment of the product itself. So if you choose the DHL option for example, you will have to pay for the shipping cost online as you also pay for the product. Therefore, you will not be required to pay any fee again when your goods get to you. Just make sure you use the address you want where you want to receive the goods when signing up on the site cos thats where your goods will be sent.

If you have a brother there, then he truly can help you out. Just tell him to find a good shipping company that can send them down to you. DHL is one of them but there are others he can use if DHL is too expensive. It shouldnt be too hard for him to find one.

I'm not sure where u can get used shoes I must say. The stuffs from aliexpress are new but cheap and u may be surprised they are even cheaper that some used items elsewhere.

About the payment option. As I said earlier, you can use your GTB naira mastercard. It is accepted on aliexpress and dhgate. You can also use the UBA naira visa Africard to make payment.
If you don't have one of these two yet, you can easily go to the banks to get them so u need not sweat over making payment.

You can order for cheap laptops and android tablets from aliexpress but u should know they are not the usual branded laptops like the Toshibas, HPs and Dells. The point is if you can create a market for the cheap laptops here, then you can always make good money. About the configurations, just go to the szite, you will find the different configurations for the laptops depending on what you want. However, of you are looking for the popular brands of laptops, you can visit a place like ipmart.com. You will also find refurbished and new phones there at very cheap rates there including Blackberry phones.

You can get some stuffs with free shipping to Nigeria. If you are really looking for this, you can select the free shipping to Nigeria option on the top of the page while doing your search but the problem is that the free shipping option may take 15 to 60 days before u get it here. However, you can get some free shipping tru DHL which can be delivered in days but such products aren't much.

Also, you can always talk to the supplier to c if he can do the free shipping for u even though there is a shipping fee on the sales page. Some may agree while some won't. Even though they don't agree to do it free, they may help u lower the shipping cost.

There is a method I use to ship my stuffs here at a very cheap cost without paying the shipping fee on the sales page. I will talk about that later just watch out!!
