Nah..Not really...I was shocked cuz I booked on June 14 by midnight, 10am on June 15, I got a date(Category A)...I already had my interview at the Embassy this past week... I will share my Transcript after I get my Visum...So, dnt lose hope...

new waiting period was introduced in June,have to wait for approximately 2 months now before they'd be invited for an interview.
If na before,if dem book today,fiam highest na 2 days invitation mail go land.

I didn't hear anything,but,i guess they might consider those that booked before that "over one year waiting period" decision was introduced in June,because most used September/October 2021,as their resumption date.

He got an admission for a masters degree in germany and has secured an unconditional offer.however, he is been told he cant book an appointment at the embassy till next year. Please kindly advise if this is true as my guy is very confused at the moment as he has paid tuition deposit.

He can book for an appointment,but,he has to wait for over a year for him to be invited for an interview if he's in category B(still under probability to be invited).

Hello but I have someone who applied to Berlin, BSBI University of Creative Arts and was offered admission with just waec and he got transcript of his secondary school stating he was taught in English during his secondary school days, his Bsc (Hons) will also hold in English. He is just confused as to his category he falls in for visa appointment.

All Bsc applicants are in category B,if without scholarship.
Bear it in mind that if he books now,he has to wait for over a year(July/August 2022)to be called for an interview (under probability too).
So,he has to shift his resumption date to next year(may be October 2022).

Proceed immediately.
The one year before interview affects only those in category B in Nigeria.
90% of schools in Germany offer free tuition.
Block account should be up to N6M, particularly,now that the naira is depreciating.

Oga I am telling you what I know from experience… I went to Cotonou with a resident resident permit and they told me the one they need… I spent 2 weeks trying to gather documents to reapply again…

Anyways it’s all in the past…God heard my prayers I’m in Freiburg now

Was it "carte de sejour" you went with?
I went to the German embassy in Cotonou in March and what the official demanded from me was just a resident permit of at least 6 months old.
I called my aunty that resides in Cotonou to get clarity on this matter and she told me that the "carte de sejour" is the permanent resident permit.

Canada declined me early this year and I don’t want to waste my hard earned money by applying to Canada again or for the United Stated visa that is even more strict.

This was my experience in 2020 before finally came back to Nigeria and got shifted to category A

It doesn't matter,whether temporary or permanent.
I don't think Benin Republic even issue permanent resident permit.
What the German Embassy there require from you is "resident permit" of at least 6 months from the date of issuance.

So I think anyone with 3.67/5 upward qualify for Cat A because 3.67/5 is equal to 1.9 using the above link to convert.

They mean Nigerian degree first class and not any German grade conversion.
One guy even uploaded this "1 class" brouhaha clarification e-mail from the consulate.

I called them again today,the lady directed me to the visa section.
I called the visa section to know if i can cancel and rebook since they stated that once your submitted study start date passes,your registration will no longer be considered and most of us booked before the notice was issued and chose September and October 2021 as our start dates.
Her answer to me was that i shouldn't cancel my booking,that the information entails the waiting period has been elongated.

After year 1 you can switch as a transfer student. They ve a special portal for transfer students. You must have no carry over

The lady that answered my call said it has taken effect immediately and that's why they update their information from time to time.
If you check the category B page i uploaded,it says "current waiting period......."
Call them to confirm too.

I just called the German consulate Lagos and the lady told me that's the current stand.
Which means,the more than one year waiting period for category B has started already.

Well,that's what it is.
I don't know if the implementation includes the recently category B booking or the upcoming one.
Which means if you're starting school in summer 2023,you have to book for an appointment from October 2021 and for winter 2023,you have to book for an appointment in April 2022.
