baxton25: You can. As a Nigerian, having only WAEC won't get you into a German University. You have to go for "Studienkolleg" ie preparatory course and pass the "Feststellungsprüfung" ie University qualification exam, before you can get admission into the university. Note that this preparatory course is taught in German, even if you're going for English-taught programmes. This means that higher German language proficiency is required. But,be ready to defend why you didn't get your first degree in Nigeria or why you're not yet in a Nigerian University at 24 during the interview. Go to uni-assist's and German embassy's pages and inform yourself very well. 2 Likes |

Montenate: If you're in category B,no need of cancelling and re-booking. It's the same story. According to their page, the waiting period for category B applicants, who booked from mid-june(that was when they elongated the waiting period) till now is over a year. Just hope and pray as you were told earlier. |

richy16: I didn't submit any document to the immigration office because of the problem outlined in my previous update. These are the ones i can remember-age declaration certicate from Nigeria, police character from Nigeria, police character from Benin republic, lab test in Benin republic, any bill payment receipt of your residence in Benin, certificate from the chief or mayor in charge of your resident area/zone in Benin etc. Immigration officials go still come your house to still check whether the place u mention na where u dey live abi u lie.Using hotel as residence isn't allowed. Yes,it was for resident permit. |

heroshark: Your interview can be conducted in English. That won't be a problem. But,the last time i checked, their immigration office in Cotonou has not repaired their central computer system since February this year. I went there in January, gathered all the required documents in March, went to the immigration office to submit them, tori come enter.Till now,the same story. Some of the documents have since expired. So,you can't submit the documents without your data being taken. So,make sure the system has been repaired before making any move. And processing of the permit takes about two to three months, plus the six months stay. That's roughly 8 to 9 months waiting altogether. I don bone them since. 1 Like |

globalamplelife: Just keep quiet and allow people to decide how to run their destinies. Any legitimate way to enter Germany is worth it. In Nigeria, haven't you experienced tribalism and nepotism. In fact, they were some of the factors that made you decide to leave here.In your own country, you didn't even enjoy free education. Why can't you go to USA,UK,Canada and Australia where there's no racism? Do you think it's easy to run free tuition fee mode of learning? Ask Sweden and Denmark, they couldn't cope after some few years. Even Norway who are closer to Germany in terms of free tuition fee, gives the condition that you must transfer the sum of around 6 to 8 million naira before applying for visa.Nothing like Germany's 2nd life line in sponsorship letter. At times, you have to give big thumbs up to the Germans biko. I understand the frustration and depression involved because of unavailability of ADs.I've been there for like a year, but,if you've given up or about to,just keep it to yourself to avoid dampening the spirits of others who might regret later. Shalom! 7 Likes 1 Share |

Eater0011: This is nonsensical. You only came here to assault and brag in the guise of giving irrational advice. Stop lying, the consulate is still giving dates to category B applicants, which i am one of them, albeit, the number is few and some of them are not on this platform. You just entered Munich and the whole world is on earthquake. You should have maintained your silence. Common getat!!! 3 Likes |

OdogwuEkeke: Hahahahaha! Or they'll tell you "may be it's not the will of God for you to travel out of Nigeria",as if they were there when God gave you your vision or they were the ones that put that career passion burning in you. The truth is-there are so much limiting factors that might not allow you to achieve your dream in Nigeria. I don't even listen to them. 3 Likes |

Mimilori: FOR CATEGORY B If you book now for September 2021 resumption date and you were not called by few weeks to that date,it means your start date has passed,ie the booking is invalid. You have to book again. |
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Elninoarmando(m): 9:12pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
Mimilori: No more reshuffling or deleting of CAT B booking entries at the end of March and September. You can now book at anytime, depending on your start date. According to the information on their page, the explanation is that your start date should be/come after the over one year period of booking/waiting. And once your start date comes and you were not called, the booking is invalid. So,you have to book again if you want. 1 Like |

SpongeBobSP: Contact your School in Germany immediately. Mine gave me some names of insurance companies in Germany to register with this summer semester. I didn't register because i couldn't travel to Germany then. So,it was of no use to me. You only pay when you arrive in Germany. 2 Likes |

Doktajay5: Go to DAAD website for school admissions and search for the course(s) you want to study and then check school(s). It's the schools' requirements that will determine if they need German language certificate or not. Get to work, because nobody here can really give you 100% reliable information based on that. |

ExchangA: You have to explain more on this. How is it that he was denied a visa because he was unable to meet academic requirements? Does it mean he applied without admission letter or what? If that was true, there's no need appealing. |
