Don’t mind those hungry road safety guys. What the laws says when I stumbled on it at their website is driving without windscreen or a shattered windscreen. Their is a whole lot of difference between cracked and shattered windscreen. So I have armed myself with it. Am a frequent traveller and have a cracked windscreen. So I will advise you do same. They may likely stop you, but if you produce that document they will definitely let you go. It is from their website and it list all the offences and fines.

That's exactly what I did when they stopped me.
I argued it was not obstructing my view. Secondly it was cracked screen and not shattered screen which was listed as offence in their books,
However even their own vehicle has a cracked screen like mine.
I snapped both mine and theirs and threatened to start a conversation on twitter if they dare book me.
They just look me finish and gave me back my DL.

However, I can confirm that the driver did not die, he sustained gunshot injuries to his hands, Infact he just left the hospital and I saw him eating at one restaurant.
Sadly? two people were killed; including a pregnant woman.

IMO, the only remedy to the incessant robbery on that road (From Okada Junction - Benin) is the deployment of Army Patrol just as was done to Benin - Sapele - Warri Road.
The Police is highly ineffective against those heartless robbers.

May God Help and Save us all.

I was having some reflections on the deadly turnout of the Rivers Rerun and I realized we are still far from being a SANE country.

In a SANE country, the Presidency would have queried his Minister, the COAS, INEC and the IGP over the violent turnout of the exercise.

In a SANE country, the National Security Council and the NASS should have invited Rotimi Amaechi, Dakuku Peterside, Nyesom Wike and Co to and explain and defend their different roles toward that result.

In a SANE country the IGP, COAS, DSS Chief would have been summoned by the NASS to explain to Nigerians why there was such breakdown of law of order right before their noses.

In a SANE country the NASS would have summoned the DG NYSC to explain the circumstances behind the death of Mr Samuel Okonta - a serving corps member - and share his plans to forestalling future occurrence.

In a sane Country the INEC Chairman should have been summoned by Congress to defend the various oversight by the commission in that election and to explain to Nigerians why Inconclusiveness had become a norm in recent elections.

In a sane Country, Citizens and those in positions of authority should know they have a responsibility to account for their actions or inactions to the masses..
Hillary Clinton - US Sec of State 2009-2013 - still gets summoned by the Congress to explain and defend the actions or inactions by her office during the 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed the US Ambassador.

We will never be a SANE country till we start ensuring that our leaders take responsibility for their actions and the actions of those under their command.

Until then, ensure that you don't lose your SANITY in this insane Country.
Be SANE, take responsibility of your actions and teach your people to do so.

Majority of guys I knew that took their wife abroad regretted it. Here on NL, we have read many cases too. I have a family member in UK that's now mentally ill when he caught his wife cheating with a foreigner. It wasn't "den say den say" he caught her pant down. (A Lady that has 3 grown up kids already)

I remember when I told my dad I want to bring my babe here with me, the next thing he said was " do u remember Mr lagbaja and Mr lagbaja's" case? A lady that loves you will wait for you.

Though some are enjoying it BUT majority are regretting it cos our ladies eyes dey open when u bring them abroad most especially when they start to move with friends.

I will advice you to come and settle with her in Nigeria than to take her there.
