God1000:
the answer to your question is Yes

Some of you don't know what gave birth to Hezbollah and Hamas in the first place, check all the countries where there are resistance fighters, it's as a result of injustice and one party not honoring the agreement made

Are you happy with the gory and horrific images
coming out of Gaza everyday since October last year? What kind of retaliation is that? Over 42,000 people already killed, the entire population displaced and all the infrastructure destroyed, this is not a war against Hamas, it is ethnic cleansing, a war of annihilation

We are not all stupid, I can't be cheering and hailing murderers, it's against my conscience
God bless you. Only a thoroughly evil person will see it differently.

If your exports exceed your imports for two consecutive quarters. Why is your currency losing value. Your economy is growing yet you are experiencing hyper inflation, more poverty, lower purchasing power, what sort of economy is that
And this is an indication that things will never get better?
Did Zimbabwe get better? Greece, Argentina, Germany etc. Did they get better even when the situation in Nigeria is nothing compared with what those countries went through?

Did you know most of the apples consumed in Nigeria were grown in South Africa?
There are 1001 fruits you can easily grow in Nigeria and we have people like you here crying over apples!
Don't you people have any shame at all?

My people, take oranges and lime daily to boost your immune system.
They're cheaper, and effective.

(Leave all these imported fruits. You don't know what they're sprayed with.)

You cannot afford to be sick in these times.
God bless you. Basically, do with what you have, there's no point lamenting over the price of apples when we have cheaper alternatives.

He didn't end it because there was problems in the east, he ended it because the Yoruba side was decimating each other, and the Western Region was going up in flames, while the prime minister encouraged the fight by taking sides with Akintola.
And the Yoruba held a meeting with him where they asked him to topple the democratically elected government?
Politics › Re: Which Regions Can Survive Beyond 5ys Of Nigeria's Dissolution by ElSudani: 8:23pm On Oct 14, 2024

During regional government it was Yoruba in the West killing each other that eventually ended the 1st republic while the East was generally peacefully until the start of Biafra civil war.I do not know where you got the idea we can't govern ourselves.
Ndi Igbo was loyal to their leaders throughout the 1st republic while Awo and Akintola was at each other throat leading to chaos and anarchy that had Awo put to jail for treason for 10 good years. Now tell me who proved to be ungovernable.
Nzeogwu coup ended the first republic. Enough for these blatant and dishonest revisionism.
Not even Nzeogwu per se but the power hungry Ironsi who couldn't resist the allure of power even after Nzeogwu's coup had been crushed.

There will always be in your midst. However, Africa is worse than any other continent, with Nigeria leading the pack of poor people. Most of the poor population in Canada are still immigrants who left their countries to Canada. Most have no means of survival or at best are asylum seekers.
Bullshit, most of the very poor in Canada are folks who for whatever reason fell through the cracks and became dependent on drugs.
New immigrants face certain issues which comes with settling down in a new country but most of them do not end up in the streets.

What business does the man even do? The supermarket he was running in the UK flopped, the only other business is one super market in Abuja, there are very many ordinary folks who own supermarket, so not exactly a spectacular business model. What exactly is his business if I may ask?
What he proposed would have been a death knell for the Economy. We would have joined the league of Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
Tinubu will be vindicated eventually for taking necessary but difficult decisions avoided by previous administrations.

Politics › Re: 10 Reasons South Eastern States Should Start an Independent Nuclear program by ElSudani: 1:39pm On Oct 12, 2024
kettykin:
Starting a nuclear program in the South Eastern states of Nigeria could offer several strategic, economic, and technological advantages. Here are 10 potential reasons to consider such a move:

1. Energy Independence: The South Eastern states face frequent power shortages. A nuclear program could provide a reliable and consistent power source, reducing dependence on erratic power grids and fossil fuels.

2. Economic Growth: Stable and affordable energy would attract industrial investments, boost manufacturing, and create jobs, leading to overall economic growth in the region.

3. Technological Advancement: Establishing a nuclear program would promote scientific and technological innovation, helping the region develop expertise in advanced fields like nuclear physics, engineering, and safety protocols.

4. Infrastructure Development: Building nuclear power plants would require the development of supporting infrastructure such as roads, communication systems, and security networks, which could benefit the entire region.

5. Climate Change Mitigation: Nuclear power is a low-carbon energy source. By adopting nuclear energy, the South East could significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with global climate goals and contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

6. Energy Export Potential: With abundant nuclear-generated electricity, the region could export excess energy to other parts of Nigeria or even neighboring countries, boosting revenues.

7. Reduction in Fuel Import Costs: Nigeria spends a lot on importing fuel for electricity. A nuclear program could reduce this burden and save the region and country foreign exchange reserves.

8. Job Creation: The construction, operation, and maintenance of nuclear plants would create thousands of direct and indirect jobs across various sectors, from construction to high-skilled technical roles.

9. Enhanced Regional Security: A nuclear program could lead to the development of stringent safety and security frameworks, which could help improve regional security standards overall, especially in dealing with modern threats.

10. Energy Diversification: Diversifying the region's energy sources would make the power supply more resilient to disruptions from single-source energy failures, like gas shortages or oil price fluctuations.

While starting a nuclear program would require careful planning, investment, and stringent safety measures, it holds promise for long-term energy security and economic development in the South Eastern states.

They can start this independently or as a pool effort. An independently developed nuclear system will keep them immune from the ineptitude and inefficient Nigerian system .

The best scientist home and abroad can be inaugurated into a committee that would advise and advance this course. There uranium rich deposits in enugu.

The nuclear system will come into big use when the inevitability of Nigeria's future becomes inevitable
One of the most naive ideas I've ever seen on Nairaland.
Not even in the US will states pursue independent nuclear programs.
