This senseless war wouldn’t have happened if that comedian wasn’t the president…

You don’t give a man’s Job to a boy and expect the same result
His country was invaded, he wasn't the aggressor here.
Russia took Crimea and then came back for more. But it was Zelensky's fault?

They know that zenlensky is a mumu man, seeing trump before him makes him already fidgeting.
Zelensky is by far a stronger and more intelligent leader than Trump. Imagine Ukraine being as powerful as the US.

Hopefully Trump will not tell them they have no cards.
Politics › Re: Giant Garment Factory In Ogun State To Produce 4.5 Million Garments PER DAY! by ElSudani: 10:51am On Aug 18, 2025
grandstar:
Textilecand garments are usually where most developing countries start from. It is labour intensive, and low labour cost is a huge consideration. That's why your shirts are made in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and so on. Production is largely export oriented. Only a small quantity is for the domestic market.

It is also fiercely competitive. The Nigerian textile industry collapsed in the face of competition. That means their fabrics are not competitive. They do not even export, as the international market should be main focus.

Garment manufacturers dependent on locally sourced fabrics, which are dependent on poor quality locally produced cotton stand zero chance in the global market where at least 99% of production will be destined for
You know what you are talking about. It is absolutely true that some countries started with garment manufacturing, even China was once at that stage.

Politics › Re: Tinubu Stabilising His Mess – Aisha Yesufu Faults Okonjo-Iweala by ElSudani: 6:50pm On Aug 17, 2025

Aisha refused to be making sense again

The economy that have been down for years, or did it start 2 years ago

Poor her. Some of the opposition only need wings so that they can fly properly as a witch.

Same people blamed President Tinubu when the economy was down even though he didn't start it, yet they couldn't commend when the same economy improved

The opposition from hell
She must make that mental gymnastics in order not to look like a complete lunatic.
Imagine Aisha Yusufu faulting the judgement of Okonjo Iweala.
At what level was the economy when Tinubu came in? When subsidy could no longer be sustained through borrowing? When the economy was on the cliff about to tip over?

1. Since you did not mention "we", how then did you jump in to say this?

if you did not mention "we", who mentioned "we"?

Which of the questions asked below does your comment and screenshot answer?

2. what is "least 50 to 80000 of it"?

3. how does "Germany, Italy, France etc are all on the list, are they suffering too" answer the question I asked?

1. who are the "we"?

2.how much you contribute for inside the 20billion?

3. if the standard of living in nigeria is good, will there be need for such remitances?
You seriously think I have the time for your puerile questions. Sending money to your home country doesn't necessarily mean it is because the recipient country has a bad economy as you naively said.
Consider this conversation closed because I will not respond further to your childish questions.

You should look at my previous posts to guage my age, you might also know that it was during that era that people started talking about the dreaded 1-0-0 or 0-1-0.

Regarding inflation figures, I still insist that borrowing monies to pay subsidy was madness. It made some a lot of money but put majority where we are now.
There no point arguing with these people. What they really want is subsidized everything while contributing nothing. That is their definition of a good government.
Politics › Re: Is It True Tinubu Supporters Are Exempted by ElSudani: 11:49pm On Aug 15, 2025
I will gladly pay it. 20% tax on your income is still lower than in many countries some Nigerians japa to.

lawani:
Our bone of contention is was it forced?. I said No it was not. It became the standard practice because it was more convenient for everybody
Not exactly at gun point but it was a whole lot of pressure from the Americans. And it was not because of convenience but because it offers a whole lot of advantages for the Americans mainly because the Gold standard came to an end. It was actually very important to the American dollar and the American economy.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The USA Deserves The US Dollar Dominance by ElSudani: 2:58pm On Aug 15, 2025
lawani:
It is still a fraction of the total. If exporters don't choose one currency to be collecting their jobs will be more difficult
But in what currency are other commodities traded now in the world? Once you put a system in place and everyone is using it then it becomes normal. So, if you export or import oil which is done in dollars you are more like to ask for the familiar currency when you want to buy or sell your cocoa.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The USA Deserves The US Dollar Dominance by ElSudani: 2:51pm On Aug 15, 2025
lawani:
What was happening between 1945 and 1973?. Oil trade after all is a fraction of global trade.
US was a dominant economy in this period but that didn't exactly translate into the dollar being the dominant trading currency.
The most traded commodity in the world both in volume and in value is crude oil. So, go figure.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The USA Deserves The US Dollar Dominance by ElSudani: 2:37pm On Aug 15, 2025
lawani:
The US did not make the USD the currency of international trade. Till today and since the end of the second world war the largest economy with the lowest inflation is the USA. Traders chose the USD by themselves.
That is a lie, the dollar supremacy started with the oil crisis in the 70s when the US economy was badly affected by oil OPEC oil embargo.
Herry Kissinger arm twisted the Saudis into making the dollars the only currency for oil transactions.
What you should be interested in is why and not if it happened.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The USA Deserves The US Dollar Dominance by ElSudani: 2:24pm On Aug 15, 2025
All the threats going towards the BRICS is because of the fear of losing that dominance.
There's a reason the United States made the dollar the currency of international trade.
They didn't exactly work for it. It was through a mix of coercion and arm twisting.

Many people are unaware that despite America's strong and diverse culture, it is home to many deeply religious and God-loving individuals. While issues like homosexuality and other societal challenges receive attention, the majority of the population holds opposing views. Many of us outside US find it difficult to grasp its dynamics, because of lack of spiritual understanding.
There are religious and God loving people in the US alright. But the issue of Israel and Palestine is not a religious thing. It is more like the issues in apartheid south Africa.
Some fanatics are just confusing themselves with the current state of Israel with the biblical one.

What is d swimming in cash translate to you. Has it really any effect on Nigerians or has inflation gone down.

Last week I bought one derica of rice which is four cups of milk 1k dis week alone it is about1200# and dey are telling us Nigeria firms swimming in cash.

Sànpònná ápa bàtá àti jowojowo etí we.
Nobody is denying some of the negative effects of the reforms one of which is the inflation of the prices of food items.
But these are temporary issues as opposed to putting in place a solid and enduring system that will ensure the growth of the economy which will eventually lead to more production, more employment and more people being able to afford their needs.
It is a gradual process and I am sure the government is working hard as we can see some of the results already.

Most Nigerians are not really smart. Ngozi just told him that the economy is not growing ( that they need to grow it) and that the masses are suffering (social safety net to cushion it).

In essence, Mr President your economy has failed. grin

But of course as head of WTO she has to mask her words so as not to erode public confidence but real economists understand what she meant.
This nonsense is coming from someone who just said Nigerians are not smart. If Nigerians are not smart then I can confidently say you wrote that nonsense with the aid of Google translate.

This country literally is rewarding bad behaviour. People are actively discouraged from peacefully achieving anything. What a sad state of things.
You just have to shake your head. She assaulted at least 3 people on camera. Her behavior was reprehensible.
Let her go and try that in some foreign countries. Simple instruction, turn off your phone shouldn't degenerate to you slapping the cabin crew.
I wouldn't hire such a character to clean my floor.
