As usual, the one sides story seeks but to scapegoat the igbos. No one talks about another group of igbos led by Aguiyi Ironsi and Odumegwu Ojukwu that stepped in to restore government.

They wanted to remove a democratically elected government in order to install Awolowo? How is this a good reason to carry out a coup and kill so many people?
If Ironsi wanted to restore order he could have invited the deputy prime minister to constitute a government and throw the military weight behind him.
Ironsi gave the July coup plotters a lot of legitimate reasons to go after him,
